Action & sm. parts retain 80% blue blending w/ spots of flaking from storage. Lever, hammer & buttplate retain 50% visible case colors. RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF. S# 265667B. Bbl. 24" rnd. Half length mag. Rocky Mountain front sight w/ later style sporting rear sight having replaced elevator. Deluxe checkered forearm & fancy walnut pistol grip stock w/ black grip insert & crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Assembly number on inside of top tang is illegible due to spots of pitting. Stock has no visible number & is attached w/ an improperly short tang screw. CONDITION: bbl. & dust cover have 98% restored blue finish. Action shows 98% restored case colors. Wood has gloss refinish w/ freshened checkering. Stock is broken & repaired through wrist area. Bore has good rifling w/ scattered pitting. (01-13047/DS). ANTIQUE. $2000-2750....more
