1940 Diamond T Model 306 Dually with New Oak Bed

Lot # 1 (Sale Order: 1 of 8)      

Regarded the “Cadillac of trucks”, this mostly restored T is a real looker. Jim Lundberg was restoring this personally at the time of his passing. He had the body painted Pepsi’s red white and blue colors so the restored truck could parade as a Pepsi truck honoring his older brothers’ founding and operating the Dixie Bottling company, a Pepsi franchise, from the late 1930’s to the 1970’s in St. George, Utah. Beginning at age 13, Jim drove Pepsi delivery trucks for his brothers company during the last years of World War II. Chassis # 3061938 Straight 6 cylinder Engine # 4725080 Gross weight 11,000 Frame off restoration in 2003 – 2005 completed to current condition. All body parts repainted, all chrome pieces re-plated, interior seat and seat back re-upholstered. Engine rebuilt, transmission overhauled, rebuilt generator, new brake lines. New oak bed constructed at a cost of $7,000. New wiring harness purchased. Window and door parts complete. Hood parts and ornaments complete. Parts inventoried and carefully stored in sealed bins (see inventory online at StatewideAuctionCo.com). $20,000 in total restoration cost invested. Needs to be assembled and enjoyed!

1947 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Series 98 Convertible

Another straight 8 engine on an early post-war rag top with advanced features including Hydramatic transmission, hydraulic operated automatic top retraction and electric / hydraulic door windows operation. Purchased in 1986 from an owner in Phoenix, where the car was located since being moved from Illinois in the 1950's. Oldsmobile Serial # OLDS 98-57306 Straight 8 Engine top # 554769 Hydramatic transmission Runs quite well; transmission shifts by slightly releasing accelerator. Functioning running, spot and brake lights, dash lights, gauges and horn. Working automatic up and down top retraction and electric / hydraulic door windows operation. Speedometer not connected. New top installed in 1988. New interior carpet and new fuel tank added in 2015, engine recently painted. Only needs new exterior paint and one exterior chrome molding piece to be in show condition! 1947 Oldsmobile Series 68 Club Coupe

This vehicle’s year, make and model was the first car Jim purchased with his bride Ila after their marriage in 1950. It has an L head straight 8 cylinder engine. The car was originally from Mesquite Nevada, purchased by a Salt Lake City family who did minor restoration on the vehicle before selling to Jim in 1987. 1921 Peerless Model 56 7-passenger Touring

This is the only 1921 Peerless known to exist; a very rare vintage auto. Full frame off restoration completed in 2001. Hardware is nickel plated (vs. earlier brass and later chrome plating), common for this era. Original wood spoke wheels. V-8 Engine # 21033 Has all original features with the exception of the gear connecting the speedometer cable to the driveshaft. Runs beautifully. Engine controls all functioning: choke, primer, spark advance, throttle. Functioning running and brake lights, dash light, horn, amp and oil pressure gauges, and clock. Comes with running board guard rails and original jack. Also includes original Peerless Model 56 Instruction Book, and select editions of the Peerless Motor Car Club publication the Co-Operator.

1929 Lincoln Model L 177 4-door Sport Touring 7 Passenger

Jim Lundberg drove this vehicle 4,600 miles in the 1993 Great American Race cross country road rally competition from Huntington Beach, California to Norfolk, Virginia, in which it was the lead car in the Race’s entourage drive around the Indianapolis Speedway “brick yard” track. V-8 engine Lincoln Car No. 59319 Runs very well with functioning choke, spark advance, throttle, running and brake lights, amp & oil gauges, speedometer, dash light, running board and rear seat dome lights, and horn. Has rear canvas covered attached luggage rack and side mount spare tires. In addition to an engine overhaul in 1993, it also was outfitted with turn and flasher signals and seatbelts as required for the Great Race competition. Original leather on door interior panels and rear jump seats and panels. Original side window curtains and bar supports. Includes 1929 Lincoln Motor Cars Book of Instruction, Lincoln Service Bulletins from the 1920’s and overhaul records. Also includes a framed photograph of the vehicle on the Indy speedway and a custom painting of the vehicle on sandstone along with other Great American Race mementos. Additionally includes 75 Years of Lincoln commemorative book and Lincoln: Seventy Years of Fine Car Heritage commemorative booklet, and a Greyhound hood ornament desk weight.

Original owner was a physician in Albuquerque who drove the vehicle until 1962, when it was purchased by Galles Motor Co. for its museum.
