This is a pair of Kessler Brewing Company bottles from the early 1900's. Both bottles are embossed. The larger bottle is marked "Kessler Malt Extract" and the smaller bottle reads "Kessler Brewing Co. Helena, Mont.". Both bottles are in good overall condition. The smaller bottle does have moderate case wear as shown. The larger bottle measures 3" in diameter and is 8.5" tall.

MacCallum & Cloutier Mercantile Anaconda Tray 1911

This is an original scarce MacCallum & Cloutier Mercantile Anaconda, Montana Advertising serving tray from circa 1911. The piece is marked, “At Your Service MacCallum & Cloutier Mercantile Co. Phone 25” along the rim edge. The piece shows an early Victorian woman across the front entitled, “Marguerite”. The tray was manufactured and is marked by, “Copyright 1911 The American Art Works, Coshocton, Ohio.” The piece is signed in the artwork and was created by W.H. McEntee. The MacCallum & Cloutier Mercantile offered litho metal trays in two styles with this being the more scarce. The tray show wear consistent with its age of being over 100 years old, but overall is a great rare piece. Measures 10.5" x 13.25".

Primitive Early Higbie Oats Cleaner Cabinet 19th C

Lot # 91 (Sale Order: 109 of 538)      

This is an early primitive implement Higbie Oats Cleaner cabinet from the 19th century. The cabinet is made from solid wood and features stenciled lettering. The piece is marked, "Higbie Patent Oats Cleaner Sold In New York By J.W. Fiske Iron Works 38...." J. W. Fiske & Company of New York City was the most prominent American manufacturer of decorative cast iron and cast zinc in the second half of the nineteenth century. The company was founded by entrepreneur, Joseph Winn Fiske (May 22, 1832 — October 20, 1903). He founded his business, at first in partnership with hardwareman Thomas W. Brown, in Boston (by 1862) and New York, December 1863. The "& Co." was dropped in 1862 in the business (placing this piece as being manufactured from 1862-1890's). The piece shows good condition. It measures 12.5" x 17" and is 69" tall. The cabinet does not show the inside mechanism, but is truly a wonderful early American Industrial Farming piece.

The piece is made by Southwestern Company in San Antonio,Texas in the 1960's and delivered to Bozeman, Montana. This couch shows a vinyl construction having a unique sewn in custom wagon train art scene in the center. This has a Rancho style. The couch has wagon wheel arm rest made of solid wood and folds out into a bed with storage underneath. This piece is from the 1960's. Measures 80.5"x33" and 31" tall. In near mint condition. The piece show an excellent retro Western style and is truly a rare find.

Butte, Mont." and shows a horseshoe marked "Good Luck 1876". The tray is also marked at the bottom "American Art Works Coshocton, Ohio". The Centennial Brewing tray is in good original condition with bright, vivid graphics. There is some minor wear as shown. A fantastic RARE Montana brewery piece not readily found in this condition. The tray measures 13" in diameter. One of the finest available.

Virginia City Montana Gold Mine Ore Bucket 19th C.

This an exceedingly rare and important Virginia City, Montana gold mine ore bucket. The excellent piece dates to the early to mid 19th century during the Montana Territory era. The bucket was pulled directly for one of the mines. The ore bucket is truly a Museum quality piece, with correct patina for its age. This is the only bucket known to survive from this era. The piece is in good condition for its age showing some wood loss. Measures: 38" H x 20" W. From a private Bozeman, Montana collection, verified to have been recovered from a Virginia City, Mine.

McClellan Calvary Saddle & Bit Fort Ellis Bozeman

Lot # 100 (Sale Order: 121 of 538)      

This is a McClellan Cavalry circa 1860-1886 US saddle with original rare type “S” curve US Cavalry Bit headstall/reigns, and B. Bros 1918 rifle scabbard. The saddle and bit were recovered at the Fort Ellis Bozeman, Montana area and have been in the collector’s family for over 80 years. The sellers father was plowing a field near the Fort Ellis site and ran across a wooden box with the saddle and bit wrapped inside. The McClellan saddle was a riding saddle designed by George B. McClellan. McClellan saddles were adopted by the Army in 1858 and were derived, with modification, from the Grimsley saddle. Fort Ellis was active from 1867-1886 and the 2nd Cavalry was station there. This is a 11 1/2 inch seat. The bit is marked "US" on one side and the scabbard is marked "B.B ROS 1918 P.T." The saddle is in good condition for its age, but is missing some pieces. The bridle, stirrups, and scabbard are all in good condition for their age, with signs of age and use. The scabbard measures 33" L x 7" W.
