Receiver & buttplate retain a warm golden patina. Receiver shows handling wear to left side with cleaning striations showing on both sides. Barrel muzzle & lever show light pitting - Markings: legible- "HENRY'S-PATENT-OCT.16.1860/KING'S-PATENT-MARCH 29.1866" - serial number marked on tang under stop "CO 17018", CO being used most commonly for carbines.
