Rare 1864 L Indian cent 1c

Lot # 152a (Sale Order: 185 of 427)

Rare 1864 L Indian cent 1c. Very scarce 1864 L on ribbon Indian cent variety. According to David Hall, “The 1864-L is scarce in circulated grades and very scarce in min...moret state. However, its price has as much to do with its popularity and importance to collectors as it does with its scarcity. All 1864-L Indian cents have a pointed bust on Ms. Liberty, while the no L’s have a rounded bust. So sometimes low grades are designated (correctly) as L’s even if you can't really see the L.

***Auction Highlight*** Key Date 1895-s Morgan $1 Semi PL, Graded Select Unc ms62 by USCG (fc)

Lot # 156 (Sale Order: 189 of 427)

***Auction Highlight*** Key Date 1895-s Morgan dollar $1 Graded Select Unc ms62 by USCG. Ultra rare 1895-s. Semi PL, all white. A good look. According to PCGS, 'Most ...moreMint State coins are well struck and have excellent lustre. Many have semi-prooflike surfaces. An attractive 1895-S dollar with a minimum of bagmarks is an object of intense numismatic desire, and competition is strong whenever such a piece appears on the market.' With a very low mintage of only 400,000 pieces, PCGS estimates only 7387 survive in ms60 or higher. A coin that does not come around everyday.

***Auction Highlight *** Ultra Rare 1942-D/ Horiz. D Jefferson 5c Only 300 exist Graded vf++ (fc)

Lot # 161 (Sale Order: 194 of 427)

***Auction Highlight *** Ultra Rare 1942-D/Horiz. D Jefferson 5c Only 300 exist Graded vf++ by USCG. Incredibly scarce coin, a true numismatic rarity. To Quote from PCG...moreS "The 1942-D over Horizontal D Jefferson Nickel is a result of a Mint employee punching the mint mark in the wrong position on the working die. Up until late in 1989 the Mint employee would hand punch the mint mark on to the working die and many times the mint mark would accidentally be struck the wrong way. This variety is relatively strong and visible with the naked eye. It is also somewhat popular with Jefferson Nickel collectors. Only 300 examples exist in all grades.

Key Date 1871 Indian cent 1c Grades vg+

Lot # 162a (Sale Order: 196 of 427)

Key Date 1871 Indian cent 1c Grades vg+. Quoting PCGS :"The 1871 Indian Cent is one of the lowest mintage issues of the series. In fact, from 1859 - 1876 it is the lowes...moret mintage coin in the Indian Cent series. What's even worse is that during the early 1870's the Mint was melting a lot of previously issued cents, including many 1871 cents. Making the coin become scarcer. A semi key date to the series with possibly about 5,000 examples in existence in all grades combined."

*** Auction Highlight *** Rare 1913-d Lincoln cent 1c Graded Gem Unc RD by USCG (fc)

Lot # 165a (Sale Order: 200 of 427)

*** Auction Highlight *** Rare 1913-d Lincoln cent 1c Graded Gem Unc RD by USCG. According to David Hall from PCGS, ‘The 1913-D, like the 1915-D, is a scarce semi-key da...morete that's somewhat underrated. It is about as rare as the 1911-D and 1912-D though it brings less in most grades. Full Red Gems are rare and Superb Gems are very rare. The 1913-D is actually very slightly rarer than the 1915-D in Gem Full Red condition. Out of an original mintage of 14.8 million, PCGS estimates that only 400 survive in ms65 or better. Nice bright red color.
