MG TD. First registered in California in 1951. Imported into the U.K. 2015. Has had a full body off rebuild. Chassis and body panels stripped to bare metal. Absolutely no rust found. Resprayed in original Black with Red radiator grill and Red wheels as per original spec. Re-trimmed in Red hide, new Black high quality carpets, new Double Duck Black hood and side screens. All bright metal re-chromed or replaced, new tyres (5). Rewired with new wiring harness. Full photographic record of all work carried out. (Only variation from original spec is Torpedo side lights converted to front indicators and rear indicators installed for safety on road use – see photo’s).  We truly believe this has to be finest original spec TD available. Estimate £18000-£22000

Being offered for sale on one of my 1964/5 Triumph Spitfire Le Mans evocations, built as a support car to ADU1B, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary, in 2014, of the Triumph Spitfires competing at Le Mans. All the work was carried out by myself and my staff at JIGSAW Triumph Specialists, Corby. This evocation was created from a good Mk1 Spitfire, keeping the original steel shell whilst altering the rear scuttle to accommodate the Le Mans fuel tank and boards. Then fitting the fibreglass bonnet, roof and front/rear sill spats, as original. The cars has been built to period FIA Appendix K specification and features:- • Le Mans style fibreglass bonnet & fast back finished with bonnet and rear wing spats. • Perspex windows fitted in the doors and fastback roof. • Large calliper original specification brakes. • Le Mans style fuel tank (18 gallon) & fuel tank boards. • Aston style fuel filler cap with internal safety filler • Le Mans style quick filler and breather. • Full JIGSAW roll cage. • Restall style seat. • Dashboard styling to period specification. • 1300cc engine with twin Weber carburettors • Electric fuel pump. • Le Mans style lighting including the pit recognition light. • Limited edition Le Mans style alloy wheels fitted with tyres. • V5 Registration • Signed on the passenger door by ex-works Standard Triumph Le Mans and rally drivers, Simo Lampinen and Terry Hunter Raced extensively through the UK with the Equipe GTS race series. The car was used in France until 94 but has always been right hand drive and had been the subject of a thorough restoration project. bodywork is very good as is the glass and chrome. The interior would benefit from more titivation but is presentable. The car drives very well and is rather brisk with the more powerful engine. It would be a real shame if this beautiful car became a donor for an American etype that needed an original engine. I'm trying to avoid this happening. It's tax exempt which is a nice bonus. Estimate. £9000-£12000

It combines the hand-assembled engine expertise of Cosworth and the coach-building crafts of Karmann.
