PAYMENT: Invoices are sent to winning bidders via email immediately following the sale. Your credit card on file will be processed for payment by midnight on auction day. Please ensure the number and expiration date is accurate and the card can bear the weight of your purchases. Issues with payment may result in a suspended account with us and with the bidding platform. USPS money orders or checks (which must clear before item is released) are also accepted when postmarked by the day following the sale; mail to/payable to: LEGACY AUCTION, PO BOX 224, EFFORT PA 18330.
SHIPPING OR PICKUP: Pickup in person for any item is welcomed; if you wish to arrange pickup, please contact us within 24 hours following the sale. Unless otherwise stated, all non-firearm/ammo items are shipped through The UPS Store, Mt. Pocono, PA, at buyer expense. Questions regarding items to be shipped via The UPS Store, may call 570-839-8010 for an estimate of the shipping cost. The UPS Store will contact winning bidders directly in the days after the sale for delivery timing and payment. The UPS Store professionally packages, insures, and ships your valuables. They are a third party shipper. Quality packaging and shipping is not inexpensive, we have no control over prices charged for these services. Items will be delivered to The UPS Store during the week of December 4th. Winning bidders are welcome to pick up items they do not want shipped at The UPS Store.
PICKUP AT ESTATE: As noted, some items must be picked up in Stroudsburg, PA 18360 on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3rd from 10 AM - 1 PM ONLY. Any items remaining after the removal period must be considered abandoned. No refunds will be processed.
FIREARMS: BATF rules and regulations strictly followed. FFL Licenses must be emailed to: rich@bidlegacy.com to start shipping process. Firearms will start to ship the week of Dec 11th and will be fulfilled in order received. Shipping is not required, however no firearms may be picked up until the week of Dec 11th. Firearms ship only to the 50 states of the United States and may be picked up by the winning bidder and legally transferred at our Lake Ariel, PA 18436 or Picked up by NJ resident or shipped from Whippany, NJ 07981 (as noted in the description of each firearm) location by appt. only. Gun transfers are $20 cash per firearm when performed at either location. Firearms have not been test fired; have a qualified gunsmith inspect each firearm before firing. KNOW YOUR STATE AND LOCAL LAWS regarding certain firearms that are allowed and/or banned. It is the buyer's responsibility to know these laws before bidding. Shipping charges are USPS (from PA) or UPS/FEDEX (from NJ) label price plus $10 for handgun, or $20 for long gun. If your firearm includes its original box, as noted in its title/description, the box will be shipped separately by The UPS Store.
AMMUNITION: Ammo is packaged by Legacy Auction and shipped within the USA only via UPS GROUND. In addition to the UPS label cost, a $4 handling fee per address label will apply.
TITLED VEHICLE: Title transfer service is at buyer expense from ZIP 18330. Vehicle must be towed from current location.
Bust of Ludwig van Beethoven Signed George Julian Zolnay

After researching this bust we are unsure what it is constructed of. Has look of bronze including high relief point wear to edges, hair and nose that reveal brass colored metal under patina as shown. What we do not know is how deep that metal goes. Weights roughly 9 pounds. It is not magnetic. We do not see a foundry mark.

Certainly has age to it...looks incredible as you can see.
Leather covered bottom as shown, some possibly raised characters can be seen through the leather surface.
Created by listed artist George Julian Zolnay (1863-1949). Hungarian / American citizen.

WWII Japanese Shin-gunto Mount Type 98 Samurai Sword with Scabbard
Lot # 3 (Sale Order: 4 of 504)
This Lieutenant Field Officers shin-gunto sword is styled after the traditional slung tachi of the Kamakura period (1185-1332).
Nakago is signed: Noshu Seki ju Matsuda Kanetaka saku. Thus made in Nashu Sekp Province.
Showa arsenal stamp, white letter on the reverse shows the arsenal inventory number 4782.
Blade as measured from edge of the habaki (brass collar) on the mune-machi (back blade notch) to the tip of the kissaki (point) is 27-1/4 inches.
Undulating hamon gunome lines show well along blade edge as shown. Blade edge has chips as shown, some staining to the blade as photographed. Blade still has original polish, no physical issues, breaks or bends.
Sword handle is covered in ray skin and hilt wrapped around the three mum menuki.
Hilt has sarute with blue and brown tassel, still in place.
Saya (scabbard) is brown painted metal. Saya is in very good condition with only expected surface scratches. No dents or cracks.
Tsuba and spacers are in good condition as shown.
Wonderful military sword ready for a new collector.
A fine example of this edged weapon. History and Japanese information is consignor provided.
