Lot # 1 (Sale Order: 1 of 761)      

Vintage American made lever action repeating rifle chambered in .25-35 Winchester, circa 1912. Features a blued finish, 26" barrel, full length tube magazine, blade front sight with set screw, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, knurled hammer spur, smooth trigger, case hardened lever, smooth walnut forend with metal end cap and straight grip shoulder stock with crescent metal buttplate. The barrel & magazine tube retain approximately 94% of their original blued finish with a single area of dark surface rust observed on the right side of barrel. The receiver exhibits an aged brown patina with some examples of bright bluing retained in the protected areas and the case hardened lever shows good colors. Action is strong, bore is very good+ with some faint scattered pitting, markings are crisp, and wood stocks are near fine with a some small imperfections. Blued & case hardened finish, 4 3/4" bbl w/ 2 line address, two-line patent dates and custom two-piece stag grips. All serial numbers match. Includes a factory letter and a G.W. McKibbin belt loop holster with basket weave tooling. The factory letters confirms the caliber, barrel length & finish and states it was shipped to A. Steinfeld & Company of Tucson, Arizona on May 23, 1912 in a 3 gun shipment. Revolver exhibits approximately 27% of it's original finish showing heavy holster wear with bright finish retained on the protected areas. Blued finish, 26" octagonal barrel, full length tube magazine, Marble No. 5 blade front sight, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, first model receiver, smooth trigger, fancy knurled hammer spur, smooth walnut forend with metal cap and straight grip shoulder stock with crescent metal buttplate. Retains less that 10% original finish with traces found in the protected areas, the balance of the metal surfaces are in-the-white with a small amount of pin prick pitting. Action is crisp, bore is very good and wood stocks are good+ with several dings. One of the rarest 1894 rifles. Condition is very good. ***Antique Firearm***

Includes a compartmentalized locking wood case with brown felt lining, key, two small powder flasks and an empty cap container. The case is in good condition but is in need of a repair as the lid has begun to come apart. Revolver exhibits 10% bright finish with the remainder of the surfaces having varying degrees of pitting from light to heavy. This San Ildefonso Pond Lily Blackware Bowl by Marie and Julian Martinez, is museum quality pottery for any collector! Hand built, fired & stone polished, it displays the traditional high shine & matte finish that reveals a feather pattern. It's 4-3/4" tall & 6-3/4" wide & is in very good condition. No chips or cracks are apparent and it's signed Marie & Julian, circa 1925-1943. This San Ildefonso Pond Lily Blackware Bowl is an opportunity, to own a piece of pueblo history! Maria Montoya Poveka Martinez (1887-1980), Pond Lily is probably the most famous of all pueblo potters. She and her husband, Julian (1897-1943), discovered in 1918, how to produce the now-famous black pottery and both spent the remainder of their careers perfecting it. Her pieces can be found in the Smithsonian and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe, as well as, private collections. They are referenced in Hayes & Blom, "Southwestern Pottery: Anasazi to Zuni", Schaaf's, "Pueblo Indian Pottery: 750 Artist Biographies" & Berger's "Pueblo & Navajo Contemporary Pottery" to name a few.

Military markings: on the top of the barrel - [flaming bomb] & on the right side of the receiver "U.S." & [flaming bomb]. Includes a bayonet. by Jan Mapes entitled "Twist and Shout", signed on base, bronze depicting a cowboy on a bucking bronc. 15 1/2"X10".Born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Jan Mapes became a sculptor and painter of animal subjects, particularly of horses, and has first-hand knowledge as a rancher in southern Colorado. Recognized for outstanding sculpture, she won the 1997 Gold Medal in Sculpture for "No Score" at the Knickerbocker Artists 45th Grand International Open Juried Exhibition. "Lickity Split" won the 1997 Grand Prize for Excellence in that same exhibit. Her work has also been featured in the Loveland, Colorado Invitational Show and Sale; the Mountain Oyster Club in Tucson, Arizona; the Garden of Sculpture and Tent Show in Littleton, Colorado; and the Pendleton Roundup in Pendleton, Oregon. For 10 years, she has created the sculpture award to the Champion of the Colorado Stallion Breeders Association and has won many awards from the All American Limousin Association.

Revolver with a 7 1/2" barrel made about 1880. Gray to brown patina with traces of blue and case where protected. Good Metal surfaces and good markings. Front sight slimmed just a bit. One piece period ivory grips that are slightly worn with minor chips and aging. All matching numbers. Some marks on cylinder pin and minor imperfections. Good to very good overall with tight action and good bore. Early flap holster of "Scout" style with 'Arizona Territory' marked cartridge belt for big rifle cartridges. A great rig. *Antique Firearm*

This Indian Prayer Fan Bronze Sculpture was created by Navajo, Alvin Marshall (1959- ). Originally from the Four Corners area, Alvin now resides in New Mexico. This limited edition piece depicts a Native American in a fluid and harmonious stance holding the totem that embodies the energy and spirit of the bird feathers used. The tribal dress is accented with a verdigris hem. This is #7 of 21 statues that were issued in 1992. Extremely well made and sturdy, this is about 14" tall and 11" wide & is mounted on a wood base with a metal turntable. In excellent condition & hallmarked. This absolutely beautiful, Indian Prayer Fan Bronze Sculpture tells a continuing story of Native American history from those who live it today!

Special order engraved single action revolver chambered in .45 Automatic, circa 1991. Features a full Royal Blue finish, 5 1/2" barrel, "A" coverage American scroll engraving, blade front sight, square notched rear sight, ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder, knurled hammer spur, smooth trigger and two-piece walnut grips. Includes the original blue cardboard box and white sleeve with the correct label. Revolver exhibits approximately 95% of it's original blued finish showing a faint to moderate drag line on the cylinder, a few light scratches on the frame & cylinder, and a few small scattered losses observed on the barrel under the ejector rod & on the frame around the cylinder pin. The trigger guard has turned to plum. Action is crisp with four clicks & very good lock-up, bore is excellent, and wood grips are fine. Condition is very good+++ in box. ***Modern Firearm***
