Frame retains approx. 30% of its original silver finish. Barrel hinge screw and one triggerguard screw are later replacements. Right side of grip with some losses and moderate impressions. Leonard, .69 cal., 32'' brown octagonal barrel, banknote engraved case colored lockplate and hammer, set trigger...more, similarly engraved blue triggerguard with pineapple finial, checkered straight walnut halfstock with horn end cap, steel buttplate, with four-leaf rear sight with platina sighting bands and steel blade front sight. Ca. 1835-1860. Condition is very good. Barrel has thinned and lightly toned. Lockplate and hammer have also toned gray. Front sight and ramrod appear to be later replacements. Rear leaf sight retains approx. 80% vibrant blue hues. Stock with mild impressions, scratches and losses to varnish, with one fissure emanating from lockplate screw. Massive Scottish 8 Bore Percussion Rifle, by Ogilvie, 43'' fullstock Damascus twist barrel, lightly engraved bright lockplate and hammer, engraved brass triggerguard with...more acorn finial, double set adjustable trigger, perchbelly full-length cheekpiece walnut stock, steel cleaning rod, with four brass retaining tubes. Barrel plug with two platina bands showing additional light scroll engraving; breech area top flat marked ''Wm Ogilvie''. Includes two-leaf rear sight, 16-ray sun design to top of barrel, and steel blade front sight. Percussion bolster and lockplate dates this firearm to approx. 1835-1840. Mfg'd for Big Game use in either Africa or India, the sun symbol was used in the 19th Century for firearms destined for these locations according to some references. The Ogilvie family of gunmaking was first noted in the 1750s, and a Birmingham proofmark appears on the underside of this Damascus barrel. Condition is about fine. Front sight is a handmade replacement for the original, and the stock shows several repairs down its length. Barrel remains a pleasing lightly toning silver/brown color; lockplate and hammer are bright. Left side of barrel plug tang shows a professionally accomplished repair through stock. Action and set trigger function well, 9-groove bore is fine. Est.: $4,500-$6,000. (Antique)

U.S. Model 1861 Trenton Contract Percussion Rifle-Musket, .58 cal., 40'' round barrel, hardwood stock with three barrel bands, standard sights, with ramrod. Lock is mark...moreed ''U.S. / Trenton'' and dated 1863; top of barrel is dated 1864; left side of barrel with ''V P'' markings (eagle's head is no longer visible), with additional ''N.J.'' markings. Top edge of buttplate with U.S. and ''15'' numeral. Rifle was mfg'd by J.T. Hodge and A.M. Burton at the Trenton Locomotive and Machine Co., in Trenton NJ, ca. 1863-1864, with a quantity of 11,495 produced. Condition is very good. Metal surfaces with an overall dark patina, with the exception of the lock that is slightly lighter near the U.S. Trenton marking. Stock with normal bruising and mars from age, in addition to what appears to be newer or fresher scuffs and scratches to left side of buttstock; stock shows a few light fissures around the lock, upper tang and left side retaining screw. Forward sling swivel is bent. Stock is missing metal end cap. Triggerguard is loose. Action is tight, bore is dark with nice rifling and in need of a thorough cleaning. Est.: $800-$1,200. (Antique)

Colt Hartford London Dragoon Percussion Revolver, #88, .44 cal., 7.5'' barrel, originally with blue and case hardened finish, etched cylinder, brass round triggerguard an...mored backstrap, one-piece ivory grips. These English Colt Hartford Dragoon revolvers were originally mfg'd from 1853-1857, marked ''Address Sam'l Colt New-York City'' on top of barrel. These revolvers were mfg'd in Hartford and finished at Colt's London Armory. Approx. 700 of these revolvers were produced. Collectors believe that approx. 200 were exported to the U.S. at the beginning of the Civil War. This example is hand inscribed to left side of frame in an English script ''Colt's / Patent''. Left side of barrel lug with ''London'' proof and view markings. Condition is very good. Markings remain clear. All major components, including wedge, with matching numbers. Revolver overall shows a very light spray of mild discoloration, light knackering, and very light pitting. Cylinder scene is faintly visible. Hand needs re-fitting, as cylinder indexes intermittently. One-piece ivory grips fit well with even toning, mild inclusions, and no losses. Bore is good. Est.: $10,000-$15,000. (Antique)

Rare Unmarked C.S. Shattuck ''Unique'' 4-Barrel Squeeze-Fire Pistol, #42, .22 cal., 1-3/8'' barrel cluster, with nickel finish. This unusual pistol also has a removable ...moreejector rod that is partially concealed under the right sideplate, leaving a small portion exposed that can be removed with your finger tip. Barrel, frame, and ejector rod all have matching serial numbers. Left sideplate does not have the standard maker's marks that are most commonly seen on these pistols. Mfg'd 1907-1915. A really nice example that is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 96% nickel finish. Nickel with some thinning at the edges and micro-scratching overall. Serial numbers are clear and well defined. Action functions properly and squeeze trigger is tight and smooth. Bores are near excellent. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R)
