Barrel with nickel silver blade front sight and folding ladder rear sight. In wood case with Certificate of Authenticity. This rifle is a well-accomplished collaboration between American Remembers and one of America's premier historical artists in Mort Kunstler. In excellent as new overall condition showing only a few insignificant handling marks. Nickel and black artwork contrasts nicely and stands out against the gold-plated frame. Mfg'd 1959. Metal surfaces are in excellent condition and retain approx. 98% non-factory blue. Receiver and magazine tube with a high quality polished blue. Barrel with slight plum-colored toning. Factory marks are clear, with the serial number being a little soft around the edges. Wood is smooth with very little handling marks, small crack at the upper tang, majority off the clear finish on the buttstock is matte and dull in appearance. Excellent action and bore. Both the top of the barrel and receiver are Winchester proofed; the upper tang with correct 3-line stamp. Left side with early barrel address. Right side of barrel is marked ''MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / -NEW HAVEN. CONN.-PATENTS PENDING-. Mfg'd 1932. Receiver retains approx. 93%-95% dark blue finish. Serial numbers and upper tang stamp are clear and well defined. Engraving was done through the finish. Barrel and magazine tube retain approx. 70% thinning and toning blue; barrel with scattered freckling. Mag tube with a darker blue finish similar to the receiver. Barrel with a lighter blue with slight plum colored highlights. Barrel address is clear. Wood with intermittent normal small dents and scratches from use, as well as an extremely fine half inch long hairline crack at the lower tang; forearm appears to have an additional coat of varnish. Action and bore are excellent. Pre-war 62s with this low of a serial number are rarely encountered. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R)

2nd Year Production Winchester Model 54 Bolt Action Rifle, #5510, .270 cal., 24'' round nickel steel barrel, blue finish, checkered pistol-grip walnut stock, serrated ste...moreel buttplate, pinned blade front sight with brass bead and two-leaf folding rear sight, with sling swivel studs. Left side of barrel and receiver are Winchester proofed. Mfg'd 1926. Condition is very good overall. Barrel retains approx. 90% thinning high polish blue finish with some scattered dark spotting. Receiver retains approx. 97% of a satin blue finish with thinning and small impressions to some of the high points, as well as shallow micro-scratching to the Winchester trademark on the left side. Buttplate shows very little blue with some reddish brown oxidation. Triggerguard has been reblued over a very shallow pitting. Stock with general scratches and small impressions; checks with some flattening. Left side of stock at about the mid point shows signs of being lightly sanded and is left with a dark spot where the stain was touched up. All factory marks are clear. Smooth and crisp action, fine bore. Est.: $500-$750. (C&R)

Top of barrel is fitted with two dovetailed scope blocks. Left side of barrel and receiver are Winchester proofed. Included is one factory Winchester marked magazine. Mfg'd 1928. Condition of the metal surfaces is very good+ as refinished, retaining approx. 96%-98% blue over scattered shallow pitting. Factory marks are clear and well defined. Stock is fine with a majority of the finish remaining. Forend and buttstock with some surface dents and scratches from handling and use. Top edge near the buttplate with a small amount of darkening. Right side edge of the rear sight with impressions, most likely from being removed, possibly at the time of being refinished. Nice tight action with a near excellent bore. Est.: $500-$800. (C&R)

Stock features adjustable buttplate for both length and height. No magazines are included. Mfg'd 1952. Condition is very good to near fine showing moderate period range use. Approx. 90% blue is retained to metal surfaces. Stock with scuffs and scratches from handling, thinning to varnish near cheek area, and where old sticker has been removed just above mag release. This rifle belonged to old-time collector Bill Taylor, who collected many early American firearms, and shows an added nickel silver detail just forward the triggerguard assembly from an old Kentucky rifle. Crisp action, very light trigger, fine bore. Eyepiece to sight with some paint loss. Scope with clear optics and well-defined crosshair reticle. Barrel with a hooded brass bead front sight on ramped base; rear sight has been removed and filled with a dovetailed block; receiver with a Lyman peep sight. Both the left side of the receiver and barrel are Winchester proofed. Floorplate is marked ''Super Grade''. Mfg'd 1936. Rifle is topped with a J.W. Fecker .75'' target scope with fine crosshair reticle, threaded covers, and the original J.W. Fecker rings. The overall length of the scope is 20-1/4''. Overall this rifle is in excellent condition. Metal surfaces retain approx. 95% factory blue. Finish loss occurs as thinning and some fine surface scratches to the underside of the barrel; triggerguard with a small area of pinprick finish loss as well. Barrel address, etc. with sharp lettering. Stock retains nearly all of the original finish; checkering is crisp and free of any blemishes; in general with only light handling marks. Buttplate is an overall light gray in color with nice checkering. Action is smooth, bore is bright. Scope retains approx. 96% blue with clear optics.
