Handguard is a different color and may be a replacement. Stock appears to have been refinished and shows scattered scratches and a chip at the upper band. There is a ''RA (Ordnance Wheel)FJA'' cartouche on left side of the straight stock and a ''P'' firing proof on underside of wrist. All parts appear to be of Remington mfg. Condition overall is excellent showing virtually all of the parkerized finish remaining on metal parts, with some slight thinning on the buttplate. Wood is also excellent with a few light handling marks and slight darkening from the application of added finish. The bright two-groove bore is excellent with sharp rifling, and the action is smooth. Springfield Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle, #486330, .30-06 cal., 24'' barrel, blued finish, walnut stock, blade front sight with protector and rear sight base in place but...more missing sight leaf. Stamped on receiver ring ''U.S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1903'', and on barrel below the front sight ''SA/(Flaming Bomb)/6-18''. There are several cartouche stamps on the stock at the wrist, but all are faded and worn. There is a ''P'' firing proof on the underside at the wrist. A later style bent bolt handle is fitted. This rifle has a receiver number under 800,000 and was made before the double heat treat method was introduced. It is considered unsafe to shoot and must be considered as a collector's item only. Condition overall is very good with the receiver and barrel reblued and most of this finish remaining, with some thinning on the higher edges and an area of pitting on left side of receiver. Stock has an area of wood putty repairs on right side at buttplate, otherwise very good with only light handling marks. Action is smooth, bore is very good with sharp rifling. Est.: $600-800. (C&R)

Stock has Dept. of Defense stamp on left side at wrist and proof firing cartouche to the bottom edge. Condition overall is fine. Receiver near the stock line with some brown staining, most likely from when the stock was sanded, etc. Wood has been sanded with some loss to the bottom edge of the ''DOD'' stamp, otherwise with only small scratches and surface dents, mainly to the buttstock. Stamped on lower le...moreft side of receiver ''Remington / REG.U.S.PAT.OFF'' over serial number, and on upper left side ''U.S. / (Flaming Bomb) / MILITARY FINISH'''' MODEL 11'' is stamped on side of bolt. ''SJCD'' is stamped on upper receiver tang and ''11042'' is stamped on lower receiver tang. There is a Ordnance Dept. ''Wheel'' and ''FJA'' inspection cartouche on left side of stock for Chief of the Rochester Ordnance District Frank J. Atwood. Barrel is stamped on top with Remington patent information, and U.S. Flaming Bomb on left side with ''12 GA.FOR 2 _ OR SHORTER SHELLS'' and ''CYL'', along with small anchor symbol; right side with ''R.E.P.'' in a small oval cartouche. Barrel is shorter than standard and the serial number is stamped on underside of barrel behind magazine tube ring. The number 479171 does not match but is in the correct serial number range. Condition overall is fine with approx. 98% military finish remaining on metal surfaces, with slight peppering on the receiver and some small scratches on the barrel. There is also a small dent on the left side of the barrel behind the bead sight. Wood has a small old chip on the forearm and another on the pistol grip of the buttstock and is in fine condition overall with a nice even finish. Buttplate is plastic with a ''Remington'' logo and has a small chip at the toe. Action is smooth, bright bore is excellent with the small dent noted. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R)

Tear triggerguard screw is missing. Condition overall is very good+ with metal surfaces showing most of its dark blue finish with light speckling on the receiver at the bolt release and chamber and an area of scratches on the barrel between the bands. Left side of receiver is lightly import marked. Condition overall is excellent and possibly unissued. Metal shows 99%+ of its blue finish. Stock and handguard are excellent with only a couple minor handing marks. Stock with nice clear cartouches to the right side. Receiver, bolt, triggerguard, and buttplate with visible matching numbers. There are a few faint numbers stamped below and to the right of the serial number. Only ''28'' are visible. Japanese Arisaka Type 2 Paratrooper Rifle, #17637, by Nagoya Arsenal, 7.7mm Japanese cal., 25-7/8'' barrel, blue finish, two-piece buttstock, full-length upper handguard,...more inverted ''V'' front sight with protective ears, folding leaf rear sight with anti-aircraft wings, knurled safety knob, cleaning rod, sling swivels, and includes a web type sling with quick-detach connector. Receiver, bolt, extractor, safety knob, barrel flat, and front barrel band with visible matching numbers. Takedown parts on front and rear half match the numbers of ''630'' that are also stamped on the receiver. Complete with mum and ''Type 2'' characters to the receiver ring. In overall fine condition for a military issued rifle. The finish on some of the smaller parts is a little rough which is typical. Metal surfaces retain approx. 70% toning blue with some spots of darkening and reddish brown oxidation; toning matches throughout the rifle, the only exception is the dustcover which has been refinished. All factory marks are clear and well defined. Stock with normal light to moderate scratches and mars that are consistent with the condition of the rest of the rifle. Upper handguard appears to have been lightly sanded. Good action, with an excellent bore. Sling with some darkening and loss to the black finish on the metal hardware. Canvas with normal signs of mild age and wear and shows well. A very nice example of a Type 2 rifle. Est.: $2,500-$3,500. (C&R)

Scope mount is stamped with CZ logo, ''E7(Czech Lion)/47'', and ''30 86'', along with ''Pevne'' and ''Volne'' on lever. Scope is stamped on top ''(Optictechna logo) / 4x4.5'' (degree) / (lined-out serial number)''. Left side is stamped with the same information but with a Czech Lion within a diamond and ''0192''. Condition is very good overall with approx. 70% finish remaining on metal surfaces, with triggerguard, buttplate, and front sight turned to a light gray color and light peppering showing on the barrel. Magazine has approx. 60% of the black painted finish remaining. Stock has been lightly sanded with no stamps or marks visible. Action is smooth, bore is very good. No visible import stamps. Argentine crest and serial number stamped on stock. ''RA'' stamp on handguard. Matching numbers, complete with cleaning rod and a muzzle cover with a stamped on matching number. Condition overall is excellent with bright receiver and over 90% of the blue finish remaining on metal surfaces, showing mostly just light scattered scratches and thinning but with rust and stains on the buttplate. Wood is excellent with scattered scratches and impressions. Bright barrel is excellent with sharp rifling, and action is smooth. No visible import stamps.
