Rare and ornate French Wheelock long gun attributed to Hennequin of Metz. French Wheelock long arms are so rare this cataloger cannot find a half of dozen offered for sale in a library of references since 1950. This exact gun was used in 1892 in the collection of Spitzer, Paris. Subsequent owners Hector Economos, William Randolph Hearst, John Kindig, and the estate of Eric Vaule.
