2004 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 COMMEMORATIVE EDITION

Lot # 453.1 (Sale Order: 201 of 265)

This 2004 Corvette Z06 Commemorative Edition has 17 actual miles and is out of Dave Resslers private collection. The Window Sticker is still in its original position and the Z06 has always been stored and maintained in a climate-controlled building. It is powered by a 405hp 346ci LS6 engine utilizing a differential-mounted 6-speed manual transmission. The carbon-fiber hood on the Commemorative Edition Z06 weighs 10.6 pounds less than the standard hood providing more weight savings for a car that already had potent power-to-weight ratio. Previously reserved for racing and exotic sports cars carbon fiber combines extremely high strength and low weight. The Commemorative Edition Z06 hood achieves a higher level of exterior finish quality than previous automotive applications of carbon fiber. The only visual cue that the hood is made from carbon fiber is in the red border surrounding the silver graphic on the car which is arranged in a woven pattern signifying the material that lies underneath. The active handling GM engineers also refined the 2004 Z06?s shock-damping characteristics to provide improved handling in the most challenging conditions while maintaining good ride control for the demands of daily driving. The continual analysis development and refinement of the shock valves resulted in more damping control and force delivered more smoothly. These refinements are a result of extensive testing and development to enhance the poise confidence and smoothness of response. This like-new 2004 Z06 Commemorative Edition was part of a limited production run and the final year of C5 production. CARFAX shows General Motors manufacturer safety recall issued on 08/18/2004: Lower control arm washer.

1991 ACURA NSX

Lot # 471 (Sale Order: 220 of 265)

As the first mass-production car to feature an all-aluminum body the Acura NSX broke new ground in the world of sports cars. Instead of a large displacement V8 or V12 it packed a 3.0-liter V6 engine with Hondas famous VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system which in this example is backed by a 5-speed manual transmission. Although the cars were only rated for 270hp a curb weight of just over 3000 pounds gave the car an excellent horsepower-to-weight ratio and excellent handling capabilities. The formula was a recipe for success with Acura selling just shy of 2000 cars in 1991. This particular 1991 example comes from a collection of several low-mile pristine-condition NSXs. It is finished in the factory shade of Formula Red with a black leather interior. Originally sold new in Ohio it has spent the majority of its life being well cared for in the state of Washington before the current owner acquired it and brought it to Arizona in 2015. With just 20800 actual miles on the odometer it has been maintained well with dealer service records dating back to 2010 including a replacement of the timing belt at 19000 miles. The car is in factory spec having never been modified or tampered with. It retains the stock stereo head unit and the stock leather seats are near factory condition. The factory 16 wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash or scratches and it still retains the factory spare underneath the hood. The vehicle was hit by another vehicle in 2011 and has since passed a multi-point inspection at an Acura dealership. According to the inspection the vehicle meets all factory standards and shows no signs of non-OEM parts and no signs of damage. CARFAX shows Washington damage report on 08/28/2011: accident reported vehicle involved in a sideswipe collision with another motor vehicle airbags did not deploy.
