1997 Harley-Davidson FLSTS Heritage Springer

80 cid (1340cc) Evolution V-twin engine, five-speed gearbox, springer front suspension, single coil spring rear suspension, front disc and rear drum brakes; wheelbase: Th...moree FLSTS Heritage Springer was introduced by Harley-Davidson in 1997 as a replacement for the FLSTN Heritage Softail. Unlike the FXSTS Softail Springer, the FLSTS Heritage Springer was equipped with a 16-inch front wheel rather than the 21-inch. It also came with a number of period-style features, like saddlebags with matching fringe, whitewall tires, and passing lamps to give it the look of a '48 FL Panhead. The '97-'99 model years had the exciting Evolution motor with a five-speed gearbox, mated with the traditional closed primary chain case. The Evolution uses a dual fire ignition which fires both cylinders at the same time although one piston would not be at the optimal compression stroke. Traditional carbs empty the 4.2-gallon tank, and the FLSTS sounds just like a..wait for it..a vintage Harley! Since then, this example one of just 9,717 produced has only been ridden just 5,975 miles. Harley-Davidson designed the Heritage model to evoke its past, and the air-cooled 80 cubic-inch V-twin holds no surprises for Harley-Davidson riders in 2019, just as it would have felt familiar to riders in 1948 as well. Motorcycle Cruiser magazine said of the 1997 model when it debuted, To punctuate the vintage styling of the Heritage Springer, Harley™s designers included plenty of retro touches and features. Full fenders swoop around fat tires with wide whitewalls. While the Softail chassis looked like a hardtail, it doesn't ride like one. The Springer front end is refined and utilizes a 16-inch wheel faithful to history, while the rear features a single shock for handling that was noted at the time as exceptionally stable. This one stands ready for any long ride, or certain entry into any bike show. The Birch White paint motif is classic, with matching blue basket-weaved leather saddlebags, plenty of chrome and many special features. Our consignor equipped it with a windscreen, and it was senior citizen-owned and ridden from new. 1966 Chevrolet Corvette L-79 Coupe

327 cid L-79 V-8 engine, 350 HP, four-speed manual transmission, front independent coil spring suspension, rear transverse leaf spring suspension, front and rear disc brakes; wheelbase: Despite the tireless development of the Corvette by Zora Arkus-Duntov and his team, and the incredible success it achieved in sales and on the track, by 1966 the Corvette was being seriously challenged by Carroll Shelby's Cobra. Duntov upped the ante engine-wise with the L-79, pushing 350 HP, as well as the track-intended 427. Most Corvette historians agree that the L-79 equipped cars represent the most drivable and best handling Corvettes of the era. The L-79 327 produced 350 horsepower at 5,800 RPM and the same torque as the standard engine except at 200 RPM higher. It featured forged domed pistons with valve reliefs, cylinder heads with larger 2.02/1.60-inch valves, a Duntov cam with .447/.447-inch lift, an 11:1 compression ratio and a free-flowing aluminum intake manifold. Straight from the factory with the M-20 four-speed manual transmission, this Vette also features new suspension, brakes, and tires, and is supplied with a custom car cover and battery charger. This L-79 has received meticulous care, with just under 40,600 miles from new. It comes from 41-years of single ownership after initial purchase and is supplied with paperwork. 1934 Pontiac 8 Sport Coupe

223 cid inline eight-cylinder engine, 84 HP, three-speed manual transmission, semi-elliptic leaf spring suspension, drum brakes; wheelbase: The Pontiac line for 1934 featured all-new larger Fisher bodies as compared with the previous year, along with a completely new chassis riding on a 117-inch wheelbase. The big news this year was the new "knee-action" independent front suspension of the Dubonnet type. The Dubonnet system was completely self-contained with the coil spring and double acting shock absorber carried in an oil-filled housing. This feature, called True Course Steering allowed for much smoother steering action since the linkage was not connected directly to a potentially bouncing wheel. This was only the second model year for the straight eight Silver Streak engine and it was already being improved upon. A new G.M.R. cylinder head was installed that raised the compression ratio from 5.7 to 6.2:1. The head featured bosses in place over each of the valves that raised the compression without interfering with airflow in and out of the combustion chamber. For 1934, the horsepower rating was now 84 HP at 3,800 RPM, up 7 HP from the previous model year, and likely the reason it was Pontiac best-selling model for the year. 1931 Ford Model A Coupe

First produced on October 20, 1927, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. The first Model A was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. In March 1930, Ford celebrated when Model A sales hit three million, and there were now nine body styles available. The Model A was produced through 1931, and these final year Model As are particularly desirable. The Model A was the Ford Motor Company's dive into style, and a five-window coupe like this was one of the best ways they showed it. This starts with the vintage two-tone paint with matching painted spoke wheels. Uncle Frank bought the car in 1934, and finally restored it himself back in the 70's. It became an Electra trim level in 1978 and its own model starting with the 1991 model year after the Electra was considered dated. By 1995, this first-generation Park Avenue featured modern features including side airbags, automatic ride control, interactive traction control, and programmable magnetic variable-effort steering. The Park Avenue was Buick's largest front-wheel drive sedan, and while not the largest vehicle offered by Buick, as that distinction belonged to the Roadmaster, the Park Avenue was the most luxurious and considered the flagship of the marque, and this example is truly loaded with every available option. It begins under the hood, and only the Park Avenue Ultra came with Buick's most powerful supercharged Series II V-6 engine that pushes 240 HP, mated to a 4T60-E four-speed automatic transmission.
