1990 Ferrari Mondial T Cabriolet

Lot # 301 (Sale Order: 2 of 35)

  • One of only 26, right-hand drive, manual gearbox, Mondial 'T' Cabriolets

  • Superb, end of the line, transverse-engined, 3.4-litre T

  • Classically finished in Rosso over Crema. With its current owner for 20 years

  • Excellent service history. Recent 50,000-mile service at Lancaster Ferrari

  • New belts, air-con service/gas charge and comprehensive check over

  • MOT February 2020. The cherished number, EOX 8, will remain with the car

Launched at the 1980 Geneva Auto Salon, the Mondial was the first Ferrari to depart from the company’s familiar three-digit naming scheme and its name was inspired by their famous Mondial sports-racers from the fifties. The Mondial saw Ferrari return to Pininfarina as its choice of styling house, and it was sold as a mid-sized coupé and, eventually, a cabriolet. Conceived as a 'more usable' model, offering the practicality of four seats with the performance of a mid-range Ferrari and hopefully attracting a slightly wider audience than their traditionally more focused two-seaters. The car was not built as a monocoque in a conventional way, but instead, the steel outer body was produced by the famous Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Scaglietti, just down the road in nearby Modena and clothed a lightweight steel box-section space frame. The Mondial was the first Ferrari where the entire engine/gearbox/rear suspension assembly was mounted on a detachable steel sub-frame, making engine removal for a major rebuild or cylinder head removal much easier than it had been on earlier models.

Introduced in 1989, the Ferrari Mondial 3.4 T was the 'spearhead for a new generation of V8 Ferraris' and the final version of the Mondial. The 'T' was a reference to the new engine and transmission layout that now saw the engine mounted longitudinally with the gearbox transverse (forming a T), a characteristic of their Formula 1 '312T' which had just won the 1989 World Championship. This set-up would become the standard for all future mid-engined V8 Ferraris beginning with the 348 and continuing through to the 360.

This is a superb original UK, right-hand drive, 3.4-litre, Mondial 'T' Cabriolet supplied new to its first owner by Lancaster Ferrari on the 12th of April 1990. One thousand and ten Mondial T Cabriolets were built altogether with only 51 in right-hand drive and 26 with a manual gearbox, making this example very rare indeed.

Fitted with the desirable manual gearbox and finished in the classic colour combination of Rosso Corsa with Crema leather and a black hood, this lovely example has covered just 45,077 miles and has been in our vendor’s care for the last 20 years.

A recent 50,000 miles main dealer service at Lancaster Ferrari (Colchester) during February/ March 2019 included cambelt replacement, renewed fuel lines, a full air-con service and a comprehensive check over and our vendor has covered very few miles since. The MOT is valid until February 2020 and, pleasingly, the cherished registration number ‘EOX 8’ will remain with the car. It’s presented with its original wallet, manuals and stamped service book, old MOTs and supporting detailed invoices covering servicing and cam belt changes etc.

With power-assisted steering as standard and a simple-to-operate folding top, Mondials of this era are quite easy to live with and this lovely example with a recent main dealer belt service and crisp air-con from long-term ownership is a very attractive prospect.

With values of these comfortable and approachable Ferraris hardening over recent years, this represents an excellent opportunity to enjoy top-down Ferrari motoring on a very sensible budget

A fabulous example, just 45,077 miles and freshly main dealer serviced

1977 Ferrari 308 GTB

Lot # 302 (Sale Order: 3 of 35)

  • Original right-hand drive delivered to UK importer Maranello Concessionaries in 1977 for Hong Kong dealer Italian Motors

  • Specified with Rosso Chiaro paintwork, Testa di Moro leather and Corda carpets, air conditioning and wider wheels

  • Benefitting from recent expenditure to the sum of £20,000 including engine rebuild, suspension and braking system overhaul

  • Presenting well in a timeless colour combination and offered with a full MOT and a history folder thick with invoices

The 308 GTB was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a direct replacement for the Dino 246 GT. Designed by Pininfarina with sweeping curves and aggressive lines, the 308 has gone on to become one of the most recognised Ferraris of all time. Fitted with a 2.9 litre DOHC V8 engine fed by four Webber 40DCNF Carburettors, the power output of 255bhp was sufficient to propel the 308 from 0 to 60mph in 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 159 mph. In 1980, the decision was taken to replace the carburettors with fuel injection, unfortunately reducing the engine output from 255 to 214 bhp, meaning that the earlier carburettor cars, like this one, are significantly quicker. The 308 was manufactured in both GTB and GTS (Spider) forms from 1977 to 1985, before being replaced by the 328. In hindsight, connoisseurs of Ferrari from this era consider the version to have is a steel -bodied car with a dry sump and carburettors, which is exactly what we have  on offer here.

This lovely 308 was manufactured in 1977 and delivered to UK importer Maranello Concessionaries in the same year for Hong Kong dealer Italian Motors, specified in right-hand drive with Rosso Chiaro (red) paintwork. Imported into the UK in 1998, our enthusiast vendor purchased this example in 2017 and set about a thorough schedule of works to bring it back to its best. Invoices found within the history folder outline a mechanical overhaul including an engine rebuild entrusted to a highly regarded marque specialist. The suspension, braking system and major electrical components were also replaced or reconditioned. The seats were professionally retrimmed in cream hide and a quick tally up of the invoices reveals an investment amounting to over £20,000. Showing just over 36,000 miles, this particular 308 GTB presents very well and having had such recent attention should require nothing more than regular exercise from its new owner. Offered with an MOT valid until 19 May 2020, a comprehensive history folder including MOTs dating back to 1998, import documents, spare keys and of course supporting documentation for the recent engine build dated June 2018.

Today this Ferrari 308 represents a usable classic sports car with beautiful styling and sparkling performance offering an exciting ownership experience. It’s been guided very sensibly so, if you have ever had an itch for a classic V8 Ferrari, now may be the time for a little scratch.

Desirable, early steel bodied carburettor 308 GTB

2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello Manual

Lot # 303 (Sale Order: 4 of 35)

  • 48-valve, 5.5-litre V12 developing 485bhp at 7,000rpm and a 6-speed manual gearbox

  • With just 24,000 miles, three owners, specified in a stunning and desirable special order colour

  • Most recently serviced in April 2019. New wheels and tyres

  • Stamped service book contained in the original leather wallet

  • Firmly placed in Ferrari's history as one of their finest modern-era GTs

When Luca di Montezemolo took office in 1991, a two-seat, front-engined V-12 Coupe had been absent from the company’s line-up since the 365 GTB/4 Daytona and so the decision was taken to revive the format as a replacement for Ferraris mid-engine, flat-12 models. After 30 months of development, the Ferrari 550 Maranello was presented in July 1996 at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany and is now firmly placed in Ferrari's history as one of their finest modern-era big GTs. Styled by Pininfarina, like its illustrious predecessor, the 550 Maranello was similarly proportioned, adopting the classical combination of long bonnet, small cabin and a truncated tail. Classic Ferrari styling cues include a bonnet air scoop and hot air outlets behind the front wheel-arches recalling the great ‘Competizione’ Ferraris of the past, whilst the rear incorporates Ferrari's characteristic twin circular lights. The heart of any Ferrari is its engine, and the 550 Maranello's 48-valve, 5.5-litre V12 develops 485bhp at 7,000rpm. The powertrain was housed in a tubular steel chassis, clothed in achingly beautiful aluminium coachwork, whilst the all-independent suspension incorporated dual-mode (normal/sports) damping, switch-selectable by the driver, which was complemented by speed-sensitive power-assisted steering. The six-speed manual gearbox made possible a slightly more even torque curve ensuring that the power delivery was a little less frenetic, whilst excellent weight distribution and delightful road manners make the 550 Maranello a truly refined driving machine, whilst still capable of almost 200 mph. With styling that is ageing particularly well, a high-quality cabin, generous storage and an enormous 100-litre-plus fuel tank, the 550 Maranello really is the consummate 'European Grand Tourer' in the true Ferrari mould. In 2004, EVO magazine published a 'Greatest Driver's Cars' feature that set the 550 Maranello against the Porsche 911 GT3, Honda NSX-R and Pagani Zonda C12S. The Ferrari won. EVO stated “As with all great cars, there's no one facet that dominates the experience. Yes, the engine is mighty, but the chassis is its equal. There's never been a supercar that's so exploitable and so rounded in its capabilities.”

This lovely, left-hand drive 550 Maranello dates from 2000 and is finished in the stunning and desirable special order colour of Blue Pozzi with a Nero hide interior featuring Daytona seats. Having been enjoyed by only three owners who have covered just 39,028km (24,392 miles), the car is in sparkling condition sporting new wheels, brand new tyres and an aftermarket sports exhaust system. Accompanying the car is its service book stamped by Ferrari main dealer and Ferrari specialists, and kept in the original leather wallet. At 37,000 km, in 2017, it had a major service at QV in Egham including cam belts and engine mounts and was most recently serviced in March 2019.

The 550 has been much hailed as a potential future classic, occupying a unique space where old-world Ferrari V12s meets the new. Now that values have settled it really is a must-have model for any serious Ferrari enthusiast and this fabulous low-mileage example in such a rare colour warrants serious consideration.

1989 Ferrari 328 GTS

Lot # 304 (Sale Order: 5 of 35)

  • One of just 292 UK-supplied, right-hand drive, ABS-equipped cars
  • Just 17,000 miles from new and finished in Rosso Corsa with Crema
  • Great spec, good history and tool kit included. Competitively estimated for such quality
  • Coming from a significant private collection, this is a rare and low mileage example

Produced between 1985 and 1989, the 328 was the successor to the 308 and was available as a Coupe (GTB) or a Targa Top (GTS). It featured the transverse V8 from the 308, albeit now in 3.2 form, with 4 valves per cylinder, a five-speed gearbox and 275 bhp on tap. This resulted in 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of over 166mph.

This, stunning, right-hand drive, late-production example, is one of just 292 UK-supplied ABS-equipped cars and is finished in the classic combination of Rosso Corsa with Crema hide and red carpeting. Just 17,000 miles is all this lovely 328 has covered since leaving the factory in 1989 and it really needs to be seen in the metal given the car's stunning condition today. Indeed, interested parties should note that this car is currently been stored with Silverstone Auctions and is therefore available for private viewing by appointment prior to the sale.

‘F328VSD’ is accompanied by its owner’s manuals, tool kit and an interesting history file containing invoices from Ferrari dealers and specialists along with historic MOTs and road tax discs. Coming from a significant private collection, this is a rare and low mileage example that will reward any inspection and is estimated at a very competitive level considering the quality on offer.

1997 Ferrari F355 Spider Manual

Lot # 305 (Sale Order: 6 of 35)

  • UK-supplied in right-hand drive by Maranello Concessionaires

  • The subject of considerable expense and now simply outstanding

  • Only 25,880 miles with a full service history

  • Recently serviced with a fresh MOT

  • Original handbook pack, spare keys and tool kit

Inheriting the proportions of its predecessor, the F355 was outwardly a much better-resolved proposition, both aesthetically and aerodynamically. However, beneath the fabulous styling and smoother skin, were further major advancements, including power steering, variable damping, and a 100cc engine enlargement. The longitudinally mounted 3496cc V8 generated a market-leading 380 horsepower at a spine-tingling 8,250 rpm and the gearbox now had six speeds with a revised synchromesh making gear changes so much smoother. New electronically adjustable shock absorbers varied their stiffness within milliseconds to suit the road surface and the result of all these developments was evident around Ferrari's 1.86 mile Fiorano test track when the 355 was two seconds a lap faster than the 12-cylinder 512 TR.

The F355 Spider (most of us like Italian convertibles to be called Spyder, however, Ferrari have always insisted on Spider) debuted in 1995, its Pininfarina-penned lines honed by even more hours in the wind tunnel. To make up for the lack of a roof and the associated loss of torsional rigidity, the 355's structure was cleverly strengthened without making the Spider any heavier than the Berlinetta. Pininfarina is very experienced in designing convertible roofs for other manufacturers and their efforts here have resulted in a blend of elegant style and aerodynamic performance and, for the first time in a Ferrari, the semi-automatic soft-top was powered electronically. Initially, the Spider was fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission, prior to being offered with the innovative, electro-hydraulic F1 transmission, however, over time, it's become accepted that the manual box is that much more satisfying to use and that has tended to be reflected in the car's value.

Sitting on the cusp between analogue and digital, the 355 is considered the forerunner of all modern Ferraris and, as the last of the hand-built cars before the 360 and later descendants moved to mass production, will inevitably slip into the role of 'Classic Ferrari' with ease becoming increasingly sought after as time goes by.

This lovely, right-hand drive, manual gearbox F355 Spider finished in Giallo Fly was supplied new by Maranello Concessionaires to its first owner, a Mr Randall, in early May 1997. After a period off the road in dry storage between 2014 and 2017, our vendor commenced a program of refurbishment with the intention of returning the car to a pristine, factory-fresh look and in this, he has undoubtedly succeeded.

The car was fully stripped and treated to a glass-out repaint in its original colour to a superb standard. Whilst this was being carried out, the engine and gearbox were fitted with new oil seals and gaskets, the cambelts replaced, and all fully detailed before being refitted. The subframes and wishbones were removed and refinished, the radiators rebuilt, the wheels refurbed, new body undertrays were sourced, new headlamps fitted, and the braking system was fully refreshed with new discs, pads and handbrake shoes. Most ancillary components were replaced or returned to original factory condition and throughout the rebuild, the correct fasteners, screws and nuts were used to emphasise the original factory look.

The car has still only covered 26,000 miles and is accompanied by its roof cover in the original storage sleeve, the full key set, leather handbook wallet, original tool kit, a fully stamped service book and a history file containing invoices for thousands of pounds for parts and labour relating to the refurbishment. It will be freshly serviced prior to the sale.

Manual gearbox, UK-supplied, yellow 355s are rare, particularly in this amazing condition, and this lovely example will reward close inspection.

2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Lot # 306 (Sale Order: 7 of 35)

  • A stunning UK right-hand drive 599 GTB Fiorano in Nero Daytona Metalic with Rosso leather

  • 26,000 miles, full Ferrari history. Graypaul serviced no less than ten times!

  • Impressive specification and superb condition throughout

  • With its 6.0-litre V12, the 599 is capable of 0-62mph in an incredible 3.7 seconds

The 599 replaced the 575 in the summer of 2006 and brought the front-engined V12 Ferrari slap bang into the modern age. Whereas the 550 and 575, even at their introduction, always felt like modern classics, the 599 was every inch a new-age Ferrari: all-aluminium chassis, lashings of glossy carbon fibre, F1 SuperFast gearbox, F1-Trac stability and traction control, magnetic semi-active dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes, all wrapped in aggressive, aero-optimised bodywork with minimal overhangs and maximum presence. Top billing, though, went to the engine - a lightly modified version of the Enzo's 6-litre V12 with a mighty 611bhp at 7600rpm, endowing Ferrari's new series-production flagship with truly sensational performance: 0-60 in 3.5sec, 0-100 in 7.4 and 205mph.

This, fabulous 599 GTB Fiorano is a 2007 UK-supplied, right-hand drive example that is finished in striking Nero Daytona Metallic with Rosso leather and has covered just 26,000 miles from new in the care of its two former keepers. The spec of this particular 599 is impressive as it's fitted with the optional 20 inch, ‘Monlithic'-twin-spoke alloys, carbon-ceramic brakes with brake calipers in yellow, front and rear parking sensors and electric, heated carbon fibre Daytona seats. This 599 also benefits from the 'Carbon fibre driving zone' which consists of a carbon fibre steering wheel along with carbon fibre paddle-shifts and tachometer ring. It also has the optional rev counter in yellow with a BOSE surround-sound system with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.

Looking at the condition of this example it has clearly been cherished throughout its life. Indeed, it's been serviced by Graypaul Ferrari no less than 10 times, with the most recent being at Meridien Moderna in July 2018. This is an outstanding and sensibly priced 599 which would make a great entry into the amazing world of front-engined, V-12, two-seater sports cars.

1997 Ferrari F355 GTS

Lot # 307 (Sale Order: 8 of 35)

  • Finished in Blue Le Mans with Grigio Chiaro leather and a desirable 6-speed manual gearbox

  • UK-supplied in right-hand drive and showing 42,425 miles on the odometer

  • Serviced at Ferrari main dealers, most recently a full cambelt service at Meridien Modena

  • Supplied with a UK V5c and MOT tested until 29 th August 2020

The Ferrari F355 is now considered a modern classic, so beautiful, so well-engineered and so well received that it marked the beginning of the end of the old-guard ‘Ferraristi' philosophy that the only 'real' Ferraris were ones with 12-cylinder engines. The F355 Berlinetta burst onto the world stage in the Spring of 1994, with the Targa GTS and Spider following in 1995. The new car shared almost exactly the same dimensions as its predecessor, the 348, yet it was virtually a new car, as its flowing coachwork indicated. Many hours of wind tunnel testing influenced the harmonious shape which incorporated an F1-style flat bottom with channelled airflow generating enough downforce to offset any lift.

The F355's name is derived from its 3.5-litre V8 engine and five valves per cylinder - as denoted by the ‘Cinquevalvole' inscription on the rocker covers, and this longitudinally-mounted power unit generates an impressive 374bhp at a spine-tingling 8250rpm. The con-rods are titanium alloy, the clutch is housed in magnesium alloy, and the Bilstein shock absorbers use electronic sensors to provide active damping. In 1994, the Ferrari F355 was a technological tour-de-force. Around Ferrari's 1.86 mile Fiorano test track, the F355 was two seconds a lap faster than the 12-cylinder, 512 TR and that level of performance, combined with its sensational shape, ensured its success on the world stage.

This particular example is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive 1997 Ferrari F355 GTS, first delivered to a Mr P. Smyth of Enfield. Finished in Blue Le Mans with a Grigio Chiaro leather interior, it's fitted with the more desirable six-speed manual gearbox. It has been ejoyed by five former keepers with the last one being one of the senior management team from Ferrari S.p.a. Maranello.

The service record shows the car has been serviced by HR Owen and Maranello, with the most recent full cambelt service being carried out at Meridien Modena. At the same time, it went through an MOT test and the resulting Certificate is valid until the 29/08/2020.

The Targa-topped GTS is often regarded as one of the most beautiful F355s that Ferrari produced, and when combined with a manual gearbox, super colour, and a sensible estimate, this is a very attractive proposition.

1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona

Lot # 308 (Sale Order: 9 of 35)

  • First registered on the 3rd August 1972 as one of just 158 UK-supplied, right-hand drive Daytonas

  • Owned between 1973 and 1975 by Sir Elton John and believed bought from the proceeds of ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’

  • Copies of the original build sheet, order forms, delivery correspondence and every service receipt from new are present

  • Also included is every MOT certificate corroborating the indicated mileage of some 82,000

  • The interior was re-trimmed in factory-specification Black VM8500 Connolly Vaumol hide in 2017

  • This matching-numbers Daytona is among the finest we have ever seen and is competitively guided

Two years after Lamborghini debuted the mid-engined Miura in 1966, Ferrari launched its defiantly traditional and determinedly contrasting alternative, the 365 GTB/4. Almost immediately, the model gained its ‘Daytona' moniker in honour of Ferrari's 1-2-3 result in the 1967 24-hour race of the same name. The Daytona's engine and handling certainly didn't undermine its racing associations and with the 4.4-litre, quad-cam V12 producing an astonishing 352bhp it was, in period, the fastest road car in the world. Not only was 175mph more than brisk but, crucially, it was faster than the Miura. The 5-speed gearbox was mounted at the rear for optimal weight distribution and helped give the Daytona its predictable handling and solid road-holding.

Delivered new on the 3rd August 1972 through Maranello Concessionaires Ltd, the official Ferrari agent for Great Britain at the time, this car is one of only 158 genuine right-hand drive vehicles supplied and is one of the nicest Daytonas we have seen in recent years. Early registration information identifies famous Ferrari enthusiast and songwriter Mr Elton John, of 14 Abbots Drive, Wentworth, Surrey, as the recorded owner and keeper of the car. We understand that Sir Elton purchased the Daytona in 1973 from the proceeds of his famed album “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' which featured such timeless hits as “Candle in the Wind” and “Saturday's Alright for Fighting'. Sir Elton famously has a long affinity with Ferrari and this Daytona was amongst his first entries into Ferrari ownership, if not his first, subsequently being stabled next to his 1974 Ferrari 365 Berlinetta Boxer until 1975.

Subsequent ownership history is well known and was made up of Ferrari Owners' Club member-owners. The previous private collector proudly owned the car for 16 years, garaging and maintaining the vehicle regardless of cost. The bodywork is presented in excellent order, the door shuts and panel fit are exceptional and the Rosso Chiaro paintwork still retains a deep shine throughout. The interior was trimmed in 2017 in factory specification Black VM8500 Connolly Vaumol hide complete with the correct Ferrari-supplied punched, holed inserts.

A full and complete history file supports this vehicle, with copies of the original build sheets, order forms, delivery correspondence and a chronologically ordered file of every Ferrari service bill and receipt from new. In addition, it is complemented by a complete set of original MOT certificates to support the indicated mileage of some 82,000 miles and has benefitted from a recent service and inspection, refurbishment of the original magnesium wheels, and Michelin XWX tyres were fitted in 2017.

We had the honour of selling this car in 2017 when it was bought by a young collector, Mr James Harris, who tethered it alongside the other stallions in his collection including his 1974 Ferrari 246 Dino and 1991 Ferrari Testarossa. Sadly Mr Harris passed away this year and we are offering the car on behalf of his family.

Competitively guided for the current market we encourage prospective bidders to contact the office for private viewings and welcome any pre-sale inspections of this very special Ferrari.

1981 Ferrari 308 GTS

Lot # 309 (Sale Order: 10 of 35)

  • European-spec, left-hand drive, delivered new to Holland in January 1981 and imported into the UK in 1997

  • Beautifully presented in, perhaps, the most desirable colour scheme of Rosso Corsa with Nero leather and Nero carpets

  • Detailed history folder with original book packs and service book stamped up-to-date supported by a wealth of invoices

  • Ideal for the holiday home, export, entry level enthusiast or maybe a stable mate for other classic sports cars

The 308 GTB was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a direct replacement for the Dino 246. In hindsight, connoisseurs of Ferrari from this era consider the version to have is a Euro-spec, steel bodied car with a dry sump and carburettors, which is exactly what we have offered here.

This left-hand drive Ferrari 308 GTS was delivered new to Amsterdam on the 2 nd of January 1981 in arguably the most sought after colour combination of Rosso Corsa (red) paint with Nero (black) leather seating and black carpets.  It’s currently showing (1)25,234 km on the odometer which equates to little over 78,000 miles in total, supported by the original service book stamped up-to-date. Clearly this example has been lavished with attention since arriving in the UK in 1997 visiting highly regarded marque specialists for maintenance and service work as detailed in a number of invoices found within the history folder. Most recently, this 308 visited QV London for an annual service including all fluids and some general repair work at (1)24,984 km and is offered with the original book pack, Ferrari sales literature, a history folder including old MOTs, a wealth of invoices and a clean MOT expiring on 12 August 2020.

This handsome, steel-bodied 308 GTS offered at a realistic guide, in good colours with a detailed history file, represents superb value in our opinion and a left-hand drive example could turn out to be an astute purchase with a wide market of potential buyers when the time comes to sell. In the meantime, enjoy classic Ferrari ownership with a lively V8 behind you and the wind in your hair.

2008 Ferrari 599 GTB Manual

Lot # 310 (Sale Order: 11 of 35)

  • One of just ten manual-transmission examples delivered to Europe. The final V12 model equipped with a manual gearbox

  • Left-hand drive and finished in stunning Fiorano Rosso with a Cuoio interior prior to being delivered new to Switzerland

  • Just 19,000km from new, UK-registered with a full service history, VIP CD, build brochure and a full set of bespoke luggage

  • Due to their sheer rarity, the manual gearbox cars are seldom offered for sale, making this a true modern-day collectable

With the vast majority of Ferrari’s customers now trending towards the popular F1-style transmissions, modern Ferraris fitted with a traditional, gated manual transmission are becoming few and far between. In the case of the 599 GTB, only 30 cars worldwide were ordered with manual transmission, 10 of which were delivered new to Europe.

Silverstone Auctions are delighted to offer this extremely rare and desirable left-hand drive 599 GTB, which is one of the ten European examples fitted with the desirable manual transmission. Originally delivered new to Switzerland, this 599 was bought by our vendor, the second owner, from that country and then brought home to the UK in February 2018 and promptly UK-registered. It has formed part of his significant Ferrari collection ever since.

Just 19,000 km (11,800 miles) have been covered since being delivered in 2008 and, as you can imagine for such a special car, it has been regularly cared for and looked after over that period. Further details in respect of the car’s history can be seen in the accompanying Owner’s File at our Documents Desk or interested parties are welcome to enquire beforehand. Indeed, this special car is being stored with Silverstone Auctions prior to the sale so is available for personal inspection upon request.

Finished in the stunning combination of Fiorano Rosso with a Cuoio interior and accompanied by a full luggage set, full build brochure and the aforementioned history file, this extremely rare car will reward any inspection. A front-engined, normally-aspirated, V12 Ferrari mated to a manual gearbox perhaps may be ‘unobtanium’ in the future, making this a true modern-day collectable.

2004 Ferrari 575M Maranello F1 Fiorano

Lot # 311 (Sale Order: 12 of 35)

  • UK-supplied in right-hand drive, just 37,100 miles, Fiorano handling pack, Scuderia Ferrari wing shields

  • Tastefully specified in Nero Daytona Metallic paintwork and Nero Hide with contrasting Grigio Chiaro stitching.

  • Detailed history folder. Original book pack, stamped service book, supporting invoices, spare keys, tools and MOTs

  • Stunning example of the fast and comfortable 575 incorporating the latest F1 technology of the period

In 1996, Ferrari introduced the 550 Maranello in a bid to revive their fabled line of grand tourers and it quickly proved to be an overwhelming success. Six years later, in 2002, the 575M Maranello appeared bringing with it a host of healthy updates adding additional potency to an already incredible car. Increasing the displacement of the V-12 by 250 cubic centimetres to 5748 cc, resulted in 508bhp and 434lb/ft of torque, 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and an advertised top speed of 202 mph. The front end was slightly revised with new headlights, a redesigned air intake and front spoiler, and the weight distribution was improved to 50/50. A choice of six-speed transmissions was available – a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, Magneti Marelli’s semi-automatic (electro-hydraulic manual) ‘F1’ gearbox. Further mechanical improvements included bigger brakes and an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspension units are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimise pitch throughout the 200-milliseconds gear shift time). Inside, the interior was modernised and refreshed with an updated dashboard, trim, and steering wheel. Only 158 575Ms were delivered to the UK with the F1 gearbox, and 64 with the manual box making a UK-supplied example still rather an exclusive car to own.

This 2004 Ferrari 575M F1 in UK, right-hand drive specification was ordered through H.R Owen Sports Cars in Kensington and was subsequently collected from the Ferrari factory in Modena on the ninth of November that year. Options ticked included Nero Daytona Metallic paintwork (black), Nero Hide with contrasting Grigio Chiaro stitching, F1 paddle shift transmission, the Fiorano handling package and Scuderia Ferrari wing shields. Other features on this example include a 250 GTO-style front grille, Giallo brake callipers, newly installed Giallo seatbelt webbings. The car is accompanied by its original tool kit, spare keys, seat covers, and book packs including the service book which is stamped up-to-date with the last visit to a Ferrari main agent dated 26/06/2019 at 36,529 miles. The history folder is thick with supporting invoices and past MOT Certificates verifying the current odometer reading.

On offer from a knowledgeable private Ferrari collector, this lovely car is in outstanding condition. Factory finished in a very stylish colour combination, with sensible mileage and a comprehensive service record, this is a great opportunity to acquire a usable and versatile Ferrari GT offered at an appealing guide that could well turn out to be a rather shrewd investment.

1989 Ferrari 328 GTS

Lot # 312 (Sale Order: 13 of 35)

  • UK-supplied and first registered on 1st August 1989 with every MOT warranting the 31,584 miles

  • With its original book packs, tool-kit, jack, two keys, Ferrari inspection lamp and Targa cover

  • Bought by our vendor in 2011 and meticulously maintained since. A cambelt service is planned before the sale

  • A well-regarded car in Ferrari circles featuring on the front cover of Auto Italia and Ferrari Club magazines

  • Best in Class at the 2016 Ferrari Owners Club Concours, trophies and certificates included

  • Presented in classic colours with a history file bursting with invoices and detailed maintenance notes

The entirely new Ferrari 308 made its debut at the Paris Salon in 1975 and marked a welcome return to Pininfarina styling, with rakish lines and curved haunches. After ten years of huge success, particularly in the United States, Ferrari had grown weary of the “Federalisation” of their lovingly designed motorcars in America, with mandatory ugly rubber bumpers ruining the Pininfarina-penned lines. With their Italian aesthetics under attack, Ferrari launched the new 328 with body coloured front and rear bumpers which adhered to US guidelines, and for the first time, the design remained unadulterated by bureaucracy.

Increasing both bore and stroke, the quattrovalvole engine's capacity was raised to 3,186cc which, together with a higher compression ratio, revised pistons, and an improved Marelli engine management system, lifted maximum power to 270bhp. Top speed was raised to within a whisker of 160mph with the sprint to 100km/h covered in a fraction over 5.5 seconds.

Beneath the skin, the tubular steel chassis remained much as before, with all-round independent suspension by double wishbones, four-wheel servo-assisted disc brakes, and aluminium-alloy wheels, though the latter were increased in size. The interior too had come in for subtle revision and now featured improved instruments, switchgear, and heating. Production ended in 1989 and by then some 7,412 GTS and GTB variants had rolled out of Maranello, with just 542 of them in right-hand drive.

This simply stunning 328 GTS is one of the rarest variants, an ABS model and just one of 292 produced in right-hand drive. UK-supplied on the 1st August 1989 in classic colours, the car was purchased by our vendor in 2011 from a private collector via the Ferrari Owners Club UK. He was impressed by the service history and a bulging file that boasts every MOT, original book packs, two keys and pocket fob, a complete tool kit, unused bulb kit and even the very rare Ferrari inspection lamp. To complement the rigorous maintenance by previous owners our vendor, an engineer by profession, maintained the car to his own exacting standards, making maintenance notes over the years and filing the parts receipts.

It's very rare to encounter a Ferrari owner who has such an in-depth relationship with his car, and knows practically every nut and bolt, but such is our vendor’s knowledge and generosity he has contributed over 2,700 posts to the online owners' forum 'Ferrari Chat' as a technical advisor. The works completed since 2011 are too numerous to list but the highlights include a full front and rear suspension rebuild with the bushes replaced with genuine new Ferrari parts, all shocks rebuilt by the manufacturer, and front wheel bearings replaced. Mechanically the valve clearances were checked and adjusted some 3,000 miles ago, and although the cam belts were replaced in 2016, our vendor will replace them prior to the sale. There is a list of works that can be emailed to prospective purchasers ahead of the sale and our vendor will be in attendance at the auction and would be happy to answer any questions from interested parties.

With the car’s condition catching the eye of magazine publishers, it appeared on the front page of Auto Italia with an accompanying article and, as a well-regarded car within UK Ferrari circles, it would naturally feature on the front cover of the Ferrari Owners Club UK magazine. The car was entered in the 2016 Ferrari Owners Club Concours winning 'Best in Class' and a 'Platinum Award' and the trophies and certificates will remain with the car. In conclusion, this GTS is one of the finest examples we have seen and our vendor's dedication to maintenance is extraordinary. It ticks virtually every box, and the warranted mileage of some 31,000 miles allows the car to sit within the finest collections or to be used as intended by its new owner.

Lot # 313 (Sale Order: 14 of 35)

  • UK-supplied in right-hand drive, 21,020 miles, Rosso Corsa with Nero hide in fabulous condition

  • Tastefully specified including Daytona-style seats, 19' Modular wheels and Scuderia Ferrari wing shields

  • Detailed history folder. Original book pack, stamped service book, supporting invoices, spare keys, tools and MOTs

  • A stunning example of the fast and comfortable 575 incorporating the latest F1 technology of the period

In 1996, Ferrari introduced the 550 Maranello in a bid to revive their fabled line of grand tourers, and it quickly proved to be an overwhelming success. Six years later, in 2002, the 575M Maranello appeared bringing with it a host of healthy updates adding additional potency to an already incredible car. Only 158 575Ms were delivered to the UK with the F1 gearbox, and 64 with the manual box making a UK-supplied example still rather an exclusive car to own.

First registered on 13/12/2002, this 575M Maranello had been very tastefully specified with Rosso Corsa paintwork and Nero leather interior including Daytona seats. The specification also included the F1 paddle-shift gearbox, 19' Modular wheels, Red brake callipers and Scuderia Ferrari wing shields. The tool kit is also present with the spare wheel, original cover, Ferrari battery charger, spare keys, and the Ferrari book pack containing the service booklet stamped to date with the most recent service including cam-belts dated May 2018 at a highly regarded Ferrari specialist. The history folder contains a wealth of supporting invoices and old MOTs corroborating the 21,020 miles displayed on the odometer.

Today this example presents very well, the paintwork retains a deep gloss and the interior shows very little sign of wear, evidently a well-cared-for car always stored correctly. The 575M Maranello offers a very useable 'modern-classic' Ferrari GT that is both powerful, elegant and comfortable. Mechanically the 575M has a reputation for excellent reliability when maintained correctly, so you wouldn’t hesitate, given the opportunity, to book the tunnel, turn the key, and aim for the south of France, enjoying the scenery whilst the locals enjoy the sight and sound of one of Maranello’s finest GTs go howling through.

  • Powered by a naturally-aspirated, 6.3-litre, V12 producing 740PS with a mind-boggling 690 N.m of torque

  • With 0-62mph in just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 211mph, there is very little faster in the world

  • Comprehensively equipped with £47,000 worth of factory options. Full details from our office/ documents desk. 'F12 JLV' will remain with the car

  • Punctual and correct Ferrari service history. Currently, just over 9,000 miles indicated

  • The F12 Berlinetta is undoubtedly the ultimate front-engined, rear-wheel drive Grand Tourer from Ferrari

The F12 Berlinetta is the ultimate front-engined, rear-wheel drive Grand Tourer from Ferrari and made its debut at the 2012 Geneva show.

The car features one of the last naturally-aspirated, V12 engines of 6,300cc which produces 740PS with a mind-boggling 690 N.m of torque resulting in 0-62mph in just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 211mph.

To say that this car is quick is a master of understatement, in fact, not only is it quick, but the handling allowed the car to go round the factory test track at Fiorano a second faster than a 599 GTO, 2 seconds faster than an Enzo (!), and 3 seconds faster than a 430 Scuderia! In short, it is an extraordinary motorcar, even more so when you consider its ability to carry two people in comfort as well as copious luggage space in the large boot.

This particular UK right-hand drive car was supplied new by H.R.Owen, Brompton Road, London on the 13th October 2014 to a Mr Vicini, the car’s only ever owner. It was finished in the timeless Ferrari combination of Rosso Corsa with Tan hide leather upholstery and Bordeaux carpets.

The factory fitted options added up to over £47,000 in total value! and the list is simply too long to include here, however, full details (including prices) are available from our office and are also contained in the history file which will be with our document office at the sale.

The car has been serviced since then on time and with official Ferrari service centres including at 2,000 miles on the 14th October 2015, at 4,000 miles on the 14th October 2016, at 7,500 miles on 10th October 2017 and most recently on the 18th April 2019 at 9,070 miles, which is more or less the mileage today.

A special car costing in excess of £290,000 when new, finished in a classic colour combination and above all, now priced very realistically to sell today. The appropriate registration number 'F12 JLV' is included with this lot.

UK supplied, one owner from new Ferrari F12 with £47,000 worth of options!

2012 Ferrari 599 GTB 60 F1 Alonso Final Edition

Lot # 315 (Sale Order: 16 of 35)

  • A special-edition 599 GTB built to celebrate 60 years of F1 wins and named after Fernando Alonso

  • Based on the HGTE package, including the stiffer springs, recalibrated shock absorbers, lowered ride height and optimised tyres

  • Only 40 built in total, all finished in Rosso F1 Storico paint with unique 20-inch diamond-cut alloys wheels and Scuderia Ferrari badging

  • Bespoke Alonso interior with carbon-fibre trim, Alcantara-covered Sabelt bucket seats and red and blue harnesses

  • This lovely example was first registered by Gaudual Sport S.A.S. Ferrari France June 2012 as a demonstrator. Purchased by its first owner in France on 14th February 2013

  • Imported to the UK in early 2017 and has remained in our vendor’s significant collection since

  • Just 8,000 miles with a full Ferrari service history in France and the UK. Currently on a NOVA

In 2004, Ferrari entered a new era in styling with the mid-engined F430 and followed that success with the front-engined 599GTB in 2006. Dramatic, aggressive and beautiful, the 599’s styling was some of the most harmonious in a front-engined Ferrari since the Daytona, redefining the ideal with a sharply defined shape and organically sculpted details. The cabin’s pronounced rearward placement allowed the 599 GTB’s naturally aspirated, fuel-injected 6.0-litre/611bhp V-12 to be positioned far back in the car’s chassis, resulting in excellent front-rear balance. The optional F1-Superfast 6-speed transmission was designed to change gear in as little as 100 milliseconds, approaching actual F1 levels meaning that the 599 GTB could launch from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.7 seconds and continue accelerating hard up to 205 MPH. Like the Maranello that preceded it, the 599 GTB’s electronically controlled adjustable suspension could be programmed for various driving conditions, but response time was increased almost fourfold with the switch from electric motors to magnetorheological shock absorbers. The 599’s interior was voluptuously sculpted and a wonderful blend of leather and carbon fibre with seats that were clearly inspired by those of the Daytona.

In December 2011, Ferrari announced a special-edition 599 GTB to celebrate 60 years of F1 wins. Endowed with the HGTE-model’s tougher suspension, shorter springs and stiffer anti-roll bars, the Alonso Edition, named after the legendary Ferrari F1 driver Fernando Alonso, was distinguished by a special colour scheme inspired by the 375 Formula One car from the 1950s, combining a red body (Rosso F1 Storico) with white highlights on the side skirts, front bumper and roof, unique 20-inch diameter diamond-finished alloy wheels, and Scuderia Ferrari badging. The interior was also unique with extensive use of carbon fibre and Alcantara-covered Sabelt bucket seats (Recaro in the US) with  Red and Blue harnesses, ed stitching and Prancing Horse headrest embroidery. Only 40 of these Alonso Final Editions were produced and, naturally, have disappeared into collections all over the world so rarely come to market.

This lovely example was first registered by Gaudual Sport S.A.S. Ferrari France in June 2012 as a demonstrator prior to being purchased by its first owner in France on 14/2/2013. The service records with the car indicate that it was serviced twice by Gauduel Ferrari on 26/02/14 @ 5,700 km and on 11/2/15 @ 12,509 km.

It was imported into the UK in early 2017 and has remained in our vendor’s significant collection ever since, being used sparingly but nevertheless serviced by Maranello Egham on 31/3/2017 @ 13,507km and again by Dick Lovett Ferrari in Swindon on 13/3/18 @ 13,772km. The car has not been registered in the UK and is currently on a NOVA.

2012 marked the end of production of the very successful 599GTB and this farewell special-edition is a worthy departure. With only 40 ever built, it’s unlikely that they will appear very often, making this immaculate, 8,000-mile example with a full Ferrari service history, worth serious consideration.

2009 Ferrari F430 Spider F1

Lot # 316 (Sale Order: 17 of 35)

  • The F430 was at least 70% new compared with the 360, with a new engine, a new F1 gearbox, a new diff and a brand-new chassis

  • The F430’s complex variable-valve-timing system is also lifted straight from the Enzo’s V12, and as ever there is dry-sump lubrication

  • Its 4.3-litre V8 will rocket this very sleek Ferrari from 0-62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and on to a maximum speed in excess of 196 mph

  • Right-hand drive, UK-supplied/registered car with just 630 miles from new, delivered new via HR Owen London; the original owner had HR Owen store it until 2012 when it was first registered

  • Up-to-date main dealer service history (six stamps in total), last done at 592 miles on 21st January 2019 at HR Owen; Ferrari 'Power' warranty until 5th May 2020

Manufactured from 2004 until 2009, the Ferrari F430 was the successor to the very successful 360M and, according to its creators, was at least 70% new compared with the previous model, itself a ground-breaker. Its aluminium structure was more rigid than the 360’s, it had a new engine, a new F1 gearbox, a new differential, and a brand-new chassis, and although the styling is obviously reminiscent of the 360M's, in reality, it's pretty much a ground-up design. Largely the work of Pininfarina, although overseen by Ferrari's design chief Frank Stephenson, the F430 still looks fresh today, more crisp-edged than the 360, with a strong hint of Enzo around the surface-erupting tail-lights.

Its all-new 4.3-litre V8 engine, with four valves per cylinder instead of the 360’s five, and chain camshaft drive instead of belts, with a consequent great reduction in service costs, has a variable-valve-timing system lifted straight from the Enzo's V12, dry-sump lubrication, a very high compression ratio (11.3:1), a variable airflow plenum chamber, and an enormous electronic brain making the decisions in the form of not one, but two, Bosch Motronic ME7 ECUs.  At 483bhp it boasts 21% more power than the 360, exceeding even that of the mighty (and turbocharged) F40, whilst the torque spread is extraordinary for an engine keen to howl beyond 8500rpm.  All these factors contribute to a 0-62mph time of just 3.7 seconds and a maximum speed in excess of 196mph.

The advancements continued with the ‘Manettino’, the steering wheel-mounted selector for stability systems, damping, shift speed, and throttle response.  And there’s the E-diff, whose calibrations this alters, a clever, clutch-controlled active differential that sorts out waywardness, not by inhibiting one rear wheel, but by pouring more torque into the other.  Ferrari reckons it’s worth 3 seconds a lap at the Fiorano test track, and it certainly helps make the F430 a far more forgiving machine than the 360, and a car of supremely subtle and keen responses.

Unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the F430 Spider is the convertible version based on the coupé and is Ferrari's 21st road-going convertible. The car was designed by Pininfarina with the aid of aerodynamic simulation programs used by their Formula 1 team. The conversion from a closed top to an open-air convertible is a two-stage folding-action with the roof panel automatically folding away inside a space above the engine bay, the whole process only taking a few seconds and undoubtedly a masterpiece of micro-engineering. The interior and performance of the Spider are identical to that of the coupé.

The car presented here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive, 2009 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider and has, quite remarkably, covered just 630 miles in total. Supplied new via HR Owen London, and due somewhat intriguingly to his circumstances, the original owner had the dealership professionally store the car until 2012, when it was first registered. Since 2009, this special car has a main dealer service history (six stamps in total), with the last service carried out at 592 miles on 21/01/2019 at HR Owen and it comes with a Ferrari ‘Power’ warranty until May 2020. Having benefited from full PPF and having covered so few miles, our vendor describes the bodywork as being ‘like new’. This condition is only matched by the striking colour combination and impressive specification (full details available at our Documents Desk) which includes an enormous amount of lightweight and expensive carbon-fibre.

This must be one of the lowest mileages ever seen on an F430, and certainly fits the criteria for ‘best-of-breed’. Cars of this quality and with such low mileage rarely come to market and this beautiful F430 F1 Spider represents an excellent opportunity.

1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Coupe

Lot # 317 (Sale Order: 18 of 35)

  • Comfortable and elegant Pininfarina-designed Grand Tourer. One of only 505 produced

  • The 340 bhp, 4.4-litre V12 with six twin-choke Webers provides impressive performance

  • Supplied new by Modern Classic Motors in Reno finished in a striking dark grey metallic

  • Specified new in left-hand-drive with air-con, power windows and an MPH speedometer

  • Imported into the UK by Joe Macari in 2014 and immediately subjected to a Concours-standard restoration

  • The history file contains a Massini Report (ownership history) and importantly, Ferrari's official Classiche 'Certificazione di Autenticita'

  • Exhibited at the 2016 London Classic Car Show where it was purchased by our vendor, Jamiroquai frontman, Jay Kay to join his eclectic private collection

  • Properly stored and maintained, on the button, ready to go and realistically guided

The 365 GTC/4 was first introduced at the Geneva show in 1971 and shared its chassis and engine block with the bigger Daytona 365GTB/4. Despite riding on the same platform, and thus sharing the same wheelbase and suspension, the car was aimed at being a more comfortable grand tourer and so softer spring rates and hydraulic power steering came as standard. Styled by Pininfarina and built with a steel body and aluminium doors, the very graceful lines of the body could be achieved because the 4.4-litre V12 engine ran 6 twin-choke Weber carburettors, rather than injection, allowing a lower profile and more sloping bonnet. The car gave 340BHP and benefitted from near-perfect weight distribution of 51:49 thanks to the 5-speed gearbox and alloy bell housing being set well back in the chassis. Just 505 cars were ever produced making this a highly collectable and rare example of the marque.

This particular left-hand drive car, chassis 15623,  was specified new with air conditioning, power windows and a speedometer in miles-per-hour and was supplied by Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada. The history file contains a Massini report which documents the cars ownership history from new and the car also carries Ferrari's official Classiche 'Certificazione di Autenticita' which confirms it retains its original engine from new.

Imported to the UK by noted official Ferrari service and restoration centre, Joe Macari, in 2014, it was then restored by them to Concours condition and, on completion, exhibited at the 2016 London Classic Car Show at Excel as an example of their very best work. Suitably impressed by the outstanding standard of restoration achieved, it was purchased by our vendor, rock legend and Jamiroquai frontman, Jay Kay, for £375,000 and became a part of his amazing and eclectic private collection. Since then it has enjoyed occasional use and, like all his cars, having been properly stored and maintained is today on the button and ready to go.

Recently Silverstone Auctions MD, Nick Whale, drove the car and had this to say afterwards:

'My prior thoughts of the 365 GTC/4 were modest given the amazing reputation of the Daytona. However, when Jay threw me the keys with a glint in his eye my hopes were raised, rightly as it happens, and this car turned out to be the best driving Ferrari built in the 1970s that I have ever experienced. It has refinement in terms of both ride and noise levels, way beyond any reasonable expectations and furthermore, it has performance and handling to match. The engine just purrs at tick over and from there it delivers amazing quantities of both torque and power in a smooth and quietly progressive manner. In short, it's a real drivers car that you could cover serious miles in with no concerns about comfort and reliability. I absolutely love it!'

Offered at an amazingly realistic guide today, this car offers a serious Ferrari collector a very special opportunity.

A 1972 Ferrari 365GTC/4 in Concours condition from Jay Kay

2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello F1 Fiorano

Lot # 318 (Sale Order: 19 of 35)

  • Fabulous, left-hand drive 575M delivered new to Holland in Nero Daytona with very high specification

  • Single ownership up to import in 2015, complete detailed history with original books, tools and service book stamped up-to-date

  • Options ticked include Fiorano handling pack, carbon racing seats, carbon driver zone, premium audio and Scuderia Ferrari wing shields

  • A stunning example of the fast and comfortable 575 incorporating the latest F1 technology of the period

Increasing the displacement of the V-12 by 250 cubic centimetres to 5748cc, resulted in 508bhp and 434lb/ft of torque, 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and an advertised top speed of 202 mph.

This outstanding example was delivered new via Kroymans to Munsterhuis Sports cars B.V and first registered 10 February 2003. The original owner didn’t hold back when selecting options for his new Ferrari and the generous specification includes Nero Daytona (metallic black) paintwork, Fiorano Handling Pack, Carbon Racing Seats, Carbon Driver Zone (F1 Paddles, Dash inserts, Steering wheel), Carbon interior Door Panels, Carbon Door Sills, Premium Audio inc factory Subwoofers, Sat Nav, Rosso Rev Counter display, and a Tubi Sports Exhaust System. This well-specified and driver-focused 575M would remain in Holland in single ownership until being selected and imported into the UK by a private Ferrari collector in 2015. The car subsequently changed hands to his business partner (our vendor) and as such is a three owner car in total.

Today the car presents beautifully, in fact, the car is outstanding with even panel gaps and bright even paintwork only showing some small stone chips to the front as expected from an original car. The interior is also excellent with no adverse signs of wear including all of the internal switch-gear which has been removed and refinished to address the notorious ‘sticky’ found on Ferrari from this era. Evidently, this example has been well cared for over the years, enjoyed, maintained and stored correctly. Now showing 113,574 km or 70,500 miles supported by a full and complete maintenance record, serviced mainly by the supplying dealer in Holland at correct intervals and, since arrival in the UK, maintained by Ferrari main agent Dick Lovett with the most recent service dated 28 February 2019 showing 113,471km.

Offered with the original book pack including service booklet stamped up-to-date with supporting invoices and Ferrari inspection torch, complete tool kit, car covers, battery charger and history folder containing a wealth of documents and invoices. Here is a fast, comfortable Ferrari GT ideal for European adventures, your holiday home or maybe an astute purchase considering the wide left-hand drive market when the time comes to sell on.

2007 Ferrari F430 Spider 60th Anniversary Edition

Lot # 319 (Sale Order: 20 of 35)

  • UK-supplied on the 21 st March 2007 to the first of three former owners

  • The 11,250 miles is complemented by a superb main dealer maintenance record

  • With 12 service stamps the car was last serviced in July by Dick Lovett, Swindon

  • Well presented in the classic colours of Rossa Corsa with Crema leather interior and ‘Daytona’ seats

  • Supplied with a UK V5c, tool kits, service book and a history showing reams of receipts

Manufactured from 2004 until 2009, the Ferrari F430 was the successor to the enormously successful 360M. According to its creators, the F430 was at least 70% new compared with the 360. It had a new engine, a new F1 gearbox, a new diff and a brand-new chassis, it was pretty much a ground-up re-design. Only the bonnet, doors, and roof were carried over; the rest, even the door mirrors, were all new and largely the work of Pininfarina, overseen by Ferrari’s design chief, Frank Stephenson.

The fabulously sounding 4.3-litre V8 will rocket this very sleek Ferrari from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds and on to a maximum speed in excess of 196mph. Having been designed initially with a later convertible in mind, the arrival of the Spider in 2005 was no surprise. Weighing only a few pounds more than the Berlinetta and having been designed with the aid of the company's F1 aerodynamicists, the Spider is just as fast and its top speed is only a few miles an hour less. The ingenious electric soft-top mechanism works quickly and makes its predecessor seem almost ponderous by comparison.

Supplied new by Lancaster Ferrari of Colchester on the 21st March 2007, to the first of three former owners, this immaculate F430 F1 Spider was specified in Rossa Corsa with a Crema leather interior and ‘Daytona’ seats. It has the added distinction of being one of the very few 60 th Anniversary Edition Spiders supplied to the UK. The Anniversary Edition was fitted with a number of factory options as standard and these include Ferrari Sports Exhaust, Scuderia Shields, Yellow Calipers, Bose Stereo upgrade, Carbon fibre Dash, 6-Disc CD, Navigation System, full cockpit extended leather, Yellow Rev Counter, Electric Heated Seats, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, along with Air Conditioning and Launch Control to mention a few.

Used sparingly by its previous custodians, it is good to note that the heat shields in the engine bay show very little distortion or loss of colour, a common issue with well-travelled F430s of the era. The car has one of the finest service records for an F430 we have seen and has been main dealer serviced at the following intervals:

03/04/2008 Lancaster Ferrari, Colchester at 2,192 miles

03/04/2009 Lancaster Ferrari, Colchester at 2,950 miles

29/01/2010 H.R. Owen Ferrari, London at 4,755 miles

25/02/2011 H.R. Owen Ferrari, London at 7,500 miles

28/02/2012 H.R. Owen Ferrari, London at 8,290 miles

20/02/2013 H.R. Owen Ferrari, London at 9,071 miles

30/01/2014 H.R. Owen Ferrari, London at 9,527 miles

12/06/2015 H.R. Owen Ferrari, London at 10,022 miles

27/05/2016 H.R. Owen Ferrari, London at 10,062 miles

25/04/2017 Stratstone Ferrari, Wilmslow at 10,760 miles

18/07/2018 JCT600 Ferrari, Leeds at 11,030 miles

18/07/2019 Dick Lovett Ferrari, Swindon at 11,147 miles

Offered with an extended Ferrari warranty until the end of January 2020, buyers are minded to check transfer status and fees, the car is presented to auction with a UK V5c, tool kits, service book and a history file showing reams of receipts. With its mileage of some 11,300 miles, this lovely Ferrari would easily fit into a collection of rare, low mileage cars or why not use it as intended, on the open road.

2001 Ferrari 550M

Lot # 320 (Sale Order: 21 of 35)

  • Finished in delectable Grigio Titanio with desirable Bordeaux leather Daytona seats
  • UK-supplied, right-hand drive and showing just 22,500 miles with only three former keepers
  • Most recently serviced at marque specialists, Kent High Performance
  • Supplied with a UK V5c (X5 SOX) and its original tools

Firmly placed in Ferrari's history as one of their finest big GTs, the 550 Maranello's combination of its stylish Pininfarina lines and front-mounted 12-cylinder engine meant that this car had the potential to become an instant classic, following in the footsteps of its forebear, the 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona'. With modern styling cues, a 5.5-litre V12 engine producing around 485bhp and a reported top speed of 199mph, the 550 Maranello was a serious motor car. A less frenetic power delivery, the six-speed manual box and excellent weight distribution were all factors in the 550 becoming the perfect European Grand Tourer.

We are pleased to offer this exquisite Ferrari 550 Maranello which was supplied new directly by Maranello Concessionaires on 1st March 2001. Finished in Grigio Titanio, the interior is trimmed in Bordeaux leather and fitted with the very desirable Daytona seats. The original service book accompanying this car shows it has been well maintained throughout with all services being carried out by either Maranello, Graypaul or marque specialists, QV London.

Having had just three former keepers, the car is in super condition and has obviously been used selectively as evidenced by the indicated mileage of 22,500.

Prior to the sale, the car will be serviced at marque specialists, Kent High Performance, who will also put it through an MOT and issue a fresh Test Certificate. Supplied with its UK V5c for registration number ‘X5 SOX’ and its original tools and book pack, this low mileage, low owner Ferrari 550M is a super example and will reward any close inspection.

2011 Ferrari 599 GTO RHD

Lot # 321 (Sale Order: 22 of 35)

  • A superb example of the 2011 range-topping 599 GTO and one of only 60 or so in right-hand drive

  • 6-litre V12, normally-aspirated engine, 670PS and 670 N.m of torque. 0-62 mph in 3.2 secs and 208mph

  • Supplied new by Ferrari Singapore on 9th December 2010 and remained in Singapore until 2017

  • Special order colour scheme of Avus Bianco with Tour de France Blue stripes, possibly unique

  • Currently indicating 10,920km (approx 6,800 miles). Full service history with official Ferrari dealers

  • Bearing the hard-won designation 'GTO', this is a very serious motorcar

  • Guided to sell today at about half of its value just two to three years ago. What an opportunity!

The letters 'GTO' are rarely used by Ferrari and are reserved exclusively for their fastest road car at the time. For example, on both previous occasions, the 1962 250GTO and the 1984 288GTO were the fastest and most exclusive Ferrari models respectively. Hence the model designation of the 599 GTO when launched, simply their fastest ever road car and the rarest model of the day, with just 599 produced globally by the factory.

Power is 670PS and 670 N.m of torque from the 6-litre V12, normally-aspirated engine and the 0-62mph time is a remarkable 3.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 208mph. The F1 gearbox features the multi-shift programme from the 599XX race car as well as the race-tuned exhaust, which means this car sounds as good as it looks!

This particular right-hand drive car was supplied new by Ferrari Singapore on 9/12/2010 and remained in Singapore until 2017 where it was regularly serviced by the supplying official Ferrari dealer every year on the 20/12/2011 at 2,706 km, the 17/11/2012 at 4,745 km, the 23/11/2013 at 6038 km, 6/12/2014 at 7,320 km, the 8/12/2015 at 8,559 km and the 21/12/2016 at 10,075 km. Today, it has covered just 10,920 km from new which equates to about 6,800 miles.

The official Ferrari service book is the same throughout the world these days and all the dealer stamps are clearly visible confirming the history and mileage as genuine. All UK taxes are now paid and the car now conforms 100% to the same specification as a UK-supplied example, as confirmed by letters from Ferrari in the history file supplied with the car.

The rare colour of Avus Bianco with Tour de France Blue stripes on the bonnet was only available by special order making this a very rare car. In fact, only 60 or so of the 599 GTOs ever made were built in right-hand drive - so this may be the only right-hand drive model ever finished in White with Blue racing stripes and consequently unique.

Sitting in the carbon fibre racing seats with the 4-point racing harnesses fastened instantly makes you feel at one with this serious grand tourer, and the thought of all the world’s amazing touring routes and fast challenging mountain roads seem a dream definitely worth making real! Especially when priced to sell today at about half of their value just two to three years ago. What an opportunity!

1978 Ferrari 308 GTS

Lot # 322 (Sale Order: 23 of 35)

  • The 'definitive' Ferrari style of the late 1970s/1980s

  • A desirable carburettor steel-bodied model in a classic colour combination

  • Coming from a small private collection of classic cars; kept in a temperature and climate-controlled garage

  • Purchased by our vendor in 2015 following a nut & bolt restoration by marque specialists 'QV London', including a new tan leather interior

  • Coming with approximately £42,000 worth of invoices

The 308 GTB, launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1975, was conceived as a direct replacement for the 246 Dino.  Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti, the man who styled some of the most iconic Ferraris including the Daytona, the new 308 had a rakish and attractive body which fused classic elements of Ferrari styling with a thoroughly modern design.  Perhaps one of the most recognisable designs ever penned for Ferrari, the 308 was an instant hit and it came to define late 70's and early 80's sports cars.

For the first two years of production, the body of the 308 was produced in fibreglass, before the decision was reached to change to steel.  It shared a similar tube frame chassis to the original Dino and 308 GT4, with four-wheel, double wishbone, independent suspension and a transversely-mounted 2.9-litre DOHC four-cam, 90-degree V8 engine fed by four Weber 40DCNF carburettors.  For the UK and Europe, the engine was dry-sumped, giving a power output of 255bhp which was enough to propel the 308 from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds and give a top speed of 159 mph.  In the early 1980s, the decision was taken to replace the carburettors with fuel injection, reducing the engine output to 214bhp.

The 'Targa' topped 308 GTS arrived in 1977 and was perhaps best known for its regular appearances on the television series ‘Magnum, P.I'. The 308 was manufactured in both GTB and GTS (Spyder) forms from 1977 to 1985, before being replaced by the 328.

The car presented here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive, Ferrari 308 GTS from 1978 and consequently is a steel-bodied carburettor model. The car is being offered from a very particular privateer vendor, who has a small and discerning collection of choice classic cars. He purchased this car in 2015 following a complete nut and bolt restoration by Ferrari specialists ‘QV London’, where it starred on their website under featured restorations titled ‘Back to Red’. This exacting work also included the fitting of a brand-new tan leather interior, and there are invoices totalling over £42,000 for this project. This stunning 308 has wanted for nothing and is as nice as you’d expect. Having covered just 63,000 miles, which is negated somewhat by the thoroughness of the full restoration, this is a ‘best-of-breed’ example. If you’ve hankered after owning a ‘real’ Ferrari, then this is the right car for you. The hard work has been done, it just needs to be used and enjoyed!

A fully restored UK/right-hand drive example

1996 Ferrari F355 Spider Manual

Lot # 323 (Sale Order: 24 of 35)

  • 3496cc V8 with a stunning 380bhp at a spine-tingling 8250rpm

  • Around Ferrari's 1.86 mile Fiorano test track the 355 was two seconds a lap faster than the 12-cylinder 512 TR

  • Finished in Rosso Corsa and Crema with a desirable 6-speed manual gearbox

  • UK-supplied, right-hand drive with just 30,500 miles

  • Owned by our privateer vendor for 13 years

  • Serviced/maintained by renowned marque specialist Bob Houghton

The Ferrari F355 is now considered a modern classic, so beautiful, so well-engineered and so well received that it marked the beginning of the end of the old-guard ‘Ferraristi' philosophy that the only 'real' Ferraris were ones with 12-cylinder engines. The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta burst onto the world stage in the Spring of 1994, with the Targa GTS and Spider being launched in 1995.  With almost exactly the same dimensions as its predecessor the 348, yet it was virtually a new car, as its stunning coachwork indicated. Many hours of wind tunnel testing influenced the harmonious shape which incorporated an F1 style flat bottom with channelled airflow generating enough downforce to offset any lift.

The Ferrari F355’s name is derived from its 3.5-litre V8 engine and five valves per cylinder - as denoted by the ‘Cinquevalvole’ inscription on the rocker covers. This longitudinally-mounted engine produces a stunning 374bhp at a spine-tingling 8250rpm.  The con-rods are titanium alloy, the clutch is housed in magnesium alloy, and the Bilstein shock absorbers use electronic sensors to provide active damping. In 1994, the Ferrari F355 was a technological tour de force.  Around Ferrari's 1.86-mile Fiorano test track, the F355 was two seconds a lap faster than the 12-cylinder, 512 TR and that level of performance combined with its sensational shape made it a worldwide success story.

The car presented here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive, 1996 F355 Spider, fitted with the more desirable manual gearbox.  It was delivered new and first registered by Ferrari main dealers, ‘Maranello Sales Ltd.’ to themselves on 26/03/1996 when the list price was £98,700 plus delivery, number plates and road tax. Unusually, it was specified with the red stitching which was to later become a £152.75 option. As a ‘Maranello Sales Ltd.’ demonstrator, the car benefits from the later Bosch Motronic 5.2 ignition/injection system, a smoother accelerator pedal action, the factory inbuilt alarm system, a modified exhaust, and twin airbags.

The car was subsequently sold by Mark Hawkins of ‘Maranello Sales Ltd.’ to the second owner, a Mr Christopher Klein of Surrey, on 8/10/1997, with 5,009 recorded miles for £102,000!

Within the history file, there are ‘Maranello Sales Ltd.’ service invoices from 1999, when the car was owned by a Mr John Radley of Surrey, who latterly had it serviced by ‘Kent High Performance Cars’, who subsequently bought it from him in 2004 before, in turn, selling it to Jane Knight of Sussex, on 14/03/ 2004, at 13,438 miles. The next owner was a Mr Stephen Cole, also of Sussex, who bought the car in January 2005, with some 15,000 recorded miles. Because of work commitments, Mr Cole barely used the car, with our vendor acquiring it soon afterwards.

He has enjoyed a further 15,000 miles in it, whilst maintaining its excellent service record, always entrusting it to marque specialists, Bob Houghton. Summary:

August 2019 30,651 miles - engine-out cam belt service plus extras, July 2018 30,375 miles - oil service plus extras, August 2017 29,914 miles - oil service plus new springs etc., July 2016 29,357 miles - new clutch master cylinder, March 2016 29,325 miles - engine-out cam belt service plus brake pads and engine bay detailing, September 2015 29,222 miles - new spark plugs, May 2015 28,957 miles - annual service, May 2014 28,303 miles - annual service and brake pads, May 2013 26,624 miles - engine-out service, May 2012 25,743 miles – annual service, April 2010 23,270 miles - engine out service, July 2008 19,587 miles – annual service, June 2008 18,429 miles - renew battery and brake hoses, May 2007 16,690 miles – engine-out service). In addition, all the rubber coated switches, handles, buttons and vents were sent to the USA to be recovered some four years ago.

This splendid car is supplied with its factory original handbook, service book, wallet, two sets of original keys and tools.

Just 454 right-hand drive F355 Spiders were imported into the UK by Maranello Concessionaires, and only 315 had the six-speed manual gearbox like this car.   This is a simply superb example of one of the most revered and sought-after Ferrari... 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona

Lot # 324 (Sale Order: 25 of 35)

  • An original UK-supplied, right-hand drive 365 GTB/4 (1 of 156 right-hand drive cars)

  • Delivered new to Tommy Dickson, the legendary 'Ecurie Ecosse' Le Mans driver

  • Superbly finished in Blue Dino Metallic with a Pelle Beige interior

  • Bare metal restoration by Foskers to its original colour scheme in January 2015

  • Full Ferrari Factory Classiche Certification awarded in the Summer of 2016

  • Consistently maintained to a very high standard by acknowledged experts

  • Lots of history and older MOTs help corroborate the 53,000 miles indicated

The ultimate expression of Ferrari's fabulous line of V12 front-engined sports cars, the 365 GTB/4 debuted at the Paris Salon in 1968, soon gaining the unofficial name 'Daytona' in honour of the sweeping 1, 2, 3 finish by the Ferrari 330P4 at that circuit in 1967. Pininfarina's Leonardo Fioravanti, later the famed Carrozzeria's director of research and development, was responsible for the influential shark-nosed styling, creating a package that restated the traditional 'long bonnet, small cabin, short tail' look in a manner suggesting muscular horsepower while retaining all the elegance associated with the Italian coachbuilder's work for Maranello. One of Pininfarina's countless masterpieces, the influential shark-nosed body style featured an unusual full-width transparent panel covering the headlamps, though this was replaced by electrically-operated pop-up lights to meet US requirements soon after the start of production in the second half of 1969.

Although the prototype had been styled and built by Pininfarina in Turin, manufacture of the production version was entrusted to Ferrari's subsidiary Scaglietti in Modena. The Daytona's all-alloy, four-cam, V12 engine displaced 4,390cc and produced its maximum output of 352bhp at 7,500rpm, with 318lb/ft of torque available at 5,500 revs. Dry-sump lubrication enabled it to be installed low in the oval-tube chassis while shifting the gearbox to the rear in the form of a five-speed transaxle meant 50/50 weight distribution could be achieved. The all-independent wishbone and coil-spring suspension was a recent development, having originated in the preceding 275GTB. Unlike the contemporary 365GTC/4, the Daytona was not available with power steering, a feature then deemed inappropriate for a 'real' sports car. There was, however, servo assistance for the four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. Air conditioning was optional, but elsewhere the Daytona remained uncompromisingly focussed on delivering nothing less than serious performance. At the time of its introduction in 1968, it was the most expensive production Ferrari ever and, with a top speed in excess of 170mph, was also the world's fastest production car. Deliveries commenced in the second half of 1969 and the Daytona would be manufactured for just four years; not until the arrival of the 456 GT in 1992 would Ferrari build anything like it again. Only 1,300 Berlinetta models and 121 Spyder convertibles had been made when production ceased in 1973.

Only 156 Daytonas were manufactured in right-hand drive and Chassis number 15837 is indeed one of those rare cars. In common with many important cars, this fabulous motor car is accompanied by a massive history file which can take some wading through, however, in this case, Foskers have helpfully compiled a four-page ‘Ownership, MOT and service summary’ that documents the car’s history from new up until April 2016 when it was purchased by our vendor. All the relevant invoices and documentation since then have been kept in the same fastidious manner. From this useful summary, we can glean that 17/02/1972 an order was placed by Maranello Concessionaires with the factory for a 365 GTB/4 in Blue Dino Metallizzato(106-A-72) with Pelle Beige (VM3218) hide, beige carpets and optional air-conditioning. On 22/05/1972 the car was UK-registered to its first recorded owner, Ian Anthony (Sales) Ltd. of Bury in Lancashire. September the 21st, 1983 marks the change to its second owner, William Loughran Ltd of Preston, Lancashire and a Mr Hughes of Hampstead was the third lucky owner in May 1984.

The Fosker’s document continues for several pages listing MOT mileages, changes of registration number (6), services, and small repairs. Significant dates are 15/05/1989 when a ‘body restoration’ was undertaken by Maranello Concessionaires on behalf of Lord Fitzallan Howard, Greystoke Automotive of Rotherwick and the invoice for this totalled £25,989.85 at 30,293 miles on 08/11/89....
