Colt New Service .455 Eley SN: 145924

Lot # 601 (Sale Order: 1 of 697)      

Revolver, 6-Shot. Large frame, large caliber, double-action. Produced 1898-1946. Swing-out, hand-ejector cylinder. Manufactured 1917. This revolver is one that went to Great Britain during WW1 . Designated Mk1. Webley. British, and Canadian forces received 60,000 during WW1, and seen service until the end of WW2. British proofed, including the "Broad Arrow"/ Screw hole in butt for lanyard ring, (Missing) The knurled ejector rod head is also missing. Colt 2-line address on top of barrel, and "New Service .455 Eley" on side of barrel. Rampant Colt on left frame. Proper 5.5" barrel. Fixed open , notch sights. Bore is fair, with slight pitting. Cylinder chambers are good, but dirty. Action is smooth/tight. Cylinder indexes properly. Revolver has had a nickel plating applied, except the hammer, trigger, cylinder release lever, and rod. All markings are clear. Finish loss on front cylinder. Also, Mother of Pearl grips, with black spacers have replaced the originals. Refinish is good, with small scratches, but nothing serious. Replaced grips are excellent. Comes with a black leather, S&W snap holster. NRA Condition-Good-very Good. C&R eligible.

"UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked large frame double action revolver manufactured circa 1911. The frame is stamped "CTC" which is attributed to Cleveland Trust Co, who issued these revolvers to their guards for their 42 different branch locations. Blued refinish, 5.5" bbl, blade front sight, "u" notched rear sight, fluted swing out cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, lanyard loop, and two-piece smooth walnut grips. Matching serial numbers with exception of the grips. Revolver retains approximately 70% of it's blued finish showing holster wear, thinning and some scattered dings & minor pitting. Action is crisp with solid lock-up, the bore is bright with good rifling & scattered light rust, markings are mostly present with three observed "R.A.C." inspector marks and the wood grips are fair showing repairs. Carl Gustafs AG42B 6.5 Swedish SN: 11328B

'Ljungman' WWII era Swedish military direct gas operated semi-automatic service rifle chambered in 6.5x55mm Swedish, manufactured circa 1943. The AG42 was designed in 1941 and put into production the very next year, with room for improvements nearly all of the 30,000 produced were modified between 1953-1956. The modified rifles such as this one were designated with a "B" suffix on the model designation and on the serial number. The changes include large charging cones on both sides of the top cover, a rubber shell deflector, a new rear sight knob, a stainless steel gas tube, new cleaning rod and new magazine. Imported by C.A.I. of St. Albans, V.T. with import marks on the right side of the barrel. It features a blued finish, an internally threaded 24.5" barrel with integral muzzle break, windage adjustable hooded post front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight tuned for spitzer bullets, smooth trigger, manual safety on the rear of the receiver, integral stripper clip guide on the top cover, 10 round detachable magazine, cleaning rod, provisions for a bayonet, smooth brown leather sling, smooth wood handguard and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with finger grooves in the forend, brass stock disc & smooth metal buttplate. The serial numbers match on the receiver, bolt(forced), bolt carrier(forced), and buttplate. The stock disk is marked 6.49mm bore diameter, #3 bore condition and 0 holdover. The right side of the receiver is stamped "S.S." Rifle retains approximately 80% bluing showing scattered wear/thinning, some handling marks and the bolt turned to brown patina. Action is strong, the bore is very good and the wood stocks are good to very good with a 1.5" hairline crack in the top of the wrist. Condition is near NRA Very Good. ***C&R Firearm***

Shotgun exhibits approximately 90% of it's well accomplished blued refinish showing wear on the underside of the receiver, scattered shallow pitting under the finish on the receiver, handling marks and a small amount of light surface rust emerging on the upper tang.
