** Colt Bisley Revolver with Carved Pearl Longhorn Grips

Lot # 402 (Sale Order: 2 of 314)      

.45 Colt caliber, 4.75" barrel, S/N 283841 (mfg. ca 1906). Blued finish, carved long-horn motif mother-of-pearl grips. Matching numbers on frame, grip frame and triggerguard. Two-line barrel address, standard Bisley and caliber markings on left side of barrel, three-date in two-line patent mark on left of frame with Rampant Colt logo. Smokeless powder frame.

Condition: Good condition with an excellent bore.  This gun has a poor quality added hot blue finish but markings remain crisp and clear, except for the rampant colt logo on left side of the frame.  Mechanically functional but the sear only works on three notches.  Grips with wear, some minor chipping and loss.

.25ACP caliber, 2" barrel, S/N 260089. Blued finish, checkered hard rubber COLT marked grips with rampant Colt logo. Standard markings. Includes a single magazine and leather flap holster with an empty pocket for a spare magazine.

Condition: Very good. Retains most of the re-blued finish, with clear markings. Mechanically functional, good bore. Grips with light handling marks. Holster fair to good with moderate wear.  Magazine is an aftermarket replacement.

** Smith & Wesson .32 Hand Ejector Revolver

Lot # 404 (Sale Order: 4 of 314)      

.32 S&W Long, 3.25" barrel, S/N 83174. Nickel finish, mother of pearl grips. Double action 6-shot revolver with swing out cylinder. Four line address and patent marks on barrel, including the July 7, 1903 date. Matching serial numbers butt, bottom of barrel and rear of cylinder, frame recess and crane assembly numbered 28967.

Condition: Very good. Retains much of the applied nickel finish with hammer and trigger nickel as well. Markings remain mostly legible, mechanically functional, good bore with some dirt and oxidation. Grips with some minor hairline cracks and tiny chips.

Cocking indicator at rear of frame. Includes three factory magazines and is in original blue Smith & Wesson factory box with the end label appropriately numbered to the gun.

Condition: Good. Retains some blue with thinning and wear and thin sheen of surface oxidation that should be cleaned. Markings clear, mechanically functional, fine bore. Grips with some light wear. Magazines with oxidation as well. Box fair to good with moderate wear, some tearing and minor loss.

.44-40 caliber, 19.5" barrel with full-length tubular magazine, S/N 81398 (mfg. ca1916). No finish, smooth walnut stock and forend. Saddle ring, ladder rear sight, blade front sight.

Condition: Fair. Retains no finish, worn with scattered moderate oxidation, some pitting and no barrel markings. Tang markings visible, serial number weak. Stock heavily worn and refinished, with missing wood at the tang. Mechanically functional, fair bore with pitting.

US Model 1842 Percussion Pistol by Aston

Lot # 412 (Sale Order: 12 of 314)      

.54 caliber, 8.5" barrel, no S/N. Bright finish, brass furniture, walnut stock. Single shot percussion pistol. Standard Aston lock markings, dated 1847 at the tail with weak matching 1847 date on tang. Breech with US / JH / P inspection and with a clear WAT cartouche on the counterpane. Retains original swivel ramrod. 

Condition: Good. Metal cleaned in the past and now with a dull brown, evenly oxidized patina and some scattered pinpricking. Most markings clear, with the barrel date and "US" at the breech weak, but legible. Mechanically functional, fair bore is heavily rusted but might clean up. Brass with an untouched dark mustard patina. Stock crisp with good cartouche and scattered handling marks, bumps and dings.

Webley R.I.C. Revolver by the Army & Navy CSL

Lot # 413 (Sale Order: 13 of 314)      

.442 Webley caliber, 4.5" barrel, S/N 12662. Blued finish, checkered walnut grips. Double action, solid fame, 6-shot revolvers with hinged loading gate and concealed ejector rod in cylinder arbor pin. Grooved topstrap marked ARMY & NAVY CO-OPERATIVE on one side of the groove and SOCIETY LONDON on the other side. Left side of frame, forward of cylinder marked with the winged bullet Webley logo, the serial number and the two line WEBLEY PATENT cartouche. Rear of cylinder numbered with the last three digits of the serial number 662, edge of loading gate simply numbered "2." Lanyard ring in butt. Includes an old tag noting the gun is from the estate collection of Henry A. Day of Exeter, NH.

Condition: Good. Retains much of the blue on the cylinder, with traces of the barrel and frame. Metal shows some scattered surface oxidation and roughness, along with some flecks of pitting. Mechanically functional, good bore with scattered oxidation and some light pitting. Grip very good with crisp checkering and some scattered handgun marks and minor mars.

.22 caliber, 2.5" octagonal barrel, S/N 56.  Steel finish with two-piece wood grips.Seven-shot cylinder with forward stops.  Left side of barrel marked with two-line Allen & Wheelock address and patent dates.  Underside of barrel marked with serial number.

Condition: Fair.  Some dulling of finish with some flaking around cylinder with some additional scattered oxidation throughout. Grips have some handling marks with screw possibly being a replacement. Appears mechanically functional. Bore is mostly dark with some storage dust.

W.W. Marston 5th Type Pocket Percussion Revolver

Lot # 415 (Sale Order: 15 of 314)      

.31 caliber, 4.25" octagonal barrel, S/N 7700. Blued finish, brass triggerguard, varnished walnut grips. 5-shot, single action percussion revolver with fluted cylinder and Colt-style loading lever. No external markings other than the serial number, which includes all four digits on the bottom of the frame, forward of the triggerguard but only includes the last three "700" in other locations. About 13,000 of these revolvers were produced from the late 1850s through the early 1860s, in seven variations, all of which closely resemble the Whitney Pocket revolver. Many were produced with various trade names and some were left blank for retailers or other vendors to mark as they saw fit.

Condition: Good. Retains only minute traces of finish with a mottled grayish-brown patina that shows scattered oxidation and discoloration as well well as some light pitting. Needs mechanically attention and will not stay at full cock. Grips very good with some varnish and scattered handling marks.

Webley 3rd Model Long Spur Percussion Revolver

Lot # 416 (Sale Order: 16 of 314)      

120-bore (.33 caliber), 4.125" octagonal barrel, no S/N. Bright finish, checkered walnut grips. Single action, 6-shot percussion revolver with Kerr style loading lever. No markings other than Birmingham commercial proofs on bottom of barrel and cylinder. Barrel shortened from a longer, original length, front sight replaced, grips damaged, missing lanyard ring from butt.

Condition: Good. Retains no finish, with scattered oxidized discoloration, pinpricking and scattered surface roughness. Mechanically functional, poor bore with rust and heavy oxidation. Grips fair, worn with significant loss from the left grip.

.31 caliber, 6" octagonal barrel, S/N 10429. Blued and color case hardened finish, brass triggerguard, grip strap and back strap, one-piece varnished walnut grips. Double action, 5-shot percussion revolver. Standard three-line Frankford, Philadelphia barrel marking. Matching numbers on frame, barrel and cylinder, with loading lever numbered "29", the last two digits.

Condition: Good. Retains traces of blued finish, mixed with a smoky bluish-gray patina. Barrel markings mostly clear, mechanically functional, good bore with scattered pitting. Grips with some scattered bumps and dings.
