IT BEGAN LIFE AS A DAILY DRIVE BUT AFTER A FEW YEARS IT WAS LIMITED TO WEEKEND DUTY. NOW THIS LOW-MILEAGE SHELBY IS USED ONLY FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES, SUCH AS CAR SHOWS. THE DODGE DAYTONA WAS A FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE CAR BUILT FROM 1984 TO 1993. ITS NAME WAS REVIVED FROM THE COMPANY'S LATE 1960's MUSCLE CAR, WHICH ITSELF WAS BASED ON THE FAMOUS 500 MILE NASCAR RACE HELD IN DAYTONA BEACH, FL. RIGHT FROM THE START THE DAYTONA WAS OFFERED AS A PERFORMANCE MACHINE AVAILABLE IN THREE DIFFERENT LEVELS - STANDARD, TURBO AND TURBO Z. IN 1987 THE CAR WAS RESTYLED AND THE SHELBY Z WAS ADDED TO THE LINEUP AS WAS DONE EARLIER WITH THE MUSTANG, SHELBY TOOK EXISTING CARS AND MODIFIED THEM FOR INCREASED PERFORMANCE. THE TURBO Z RECEIVED NUMEROUS SUSPENSION UPGRADES INCLUDING A LARGER FRONT SWAY BAR AND REAR DISC BRAKES. THE SHELBY VERSION WAS APPROXIMATELY $3,000 MORE THEN THE BASE DAYTON AND 7,152 WERE BUILT. SHELBY CONTINUED HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH DODGE PRODUCING DAYTONA'S THROUGH 1993.

The vehicle's history is shrouded with intrigue that can be traced back to the early 90s when it was packaged as part of an asset trade towards a gulf stream jet, ultimately ending up in the collection of a NASCAR racing team owner. At the time, the new owner was advised that this vehicle was built by a group of "old Italian craftsmen", based in Maranello Italy, who "went to great lengths to preserve their anonymity due to their close personal ties to Pininfarina, Fantuzzi and of course Ferrari." Others officially credit Vincenzo Mariano as the builder who would produce approximately 12 recreation examples. This particular one being chassis #MVTR009 with Fiat Engine #135C-000 0006267.

Said to be one only 14 Cadillacs converted by a special restoration shop based in Costa Rica using the finest woods available! Their experts hand-fitted and custom finished the wood framework with outstanding results! The low fastback roofline of the original Series 61 Sedan allowed for a special low profile stance never found on any typical Cadillac station wagon, not to mention the expertise to hand form a full steel roof! You have to admit, it is one of the most attractive, might even say sporty, wood-attired wagons to take out to the dinner club on Saturday night!
The overall condition is outstanding, with the chassis nicely painted underneath, along with the exterior body color being using underneath indicating a proper frame-off style restoration. Inside, the seating surfaces are recovered in real tan leather, with tight loop floor carpeting throughout, along with custom fit headliner. The door panels maintain the wood exterior theme. Options on this outstanding Cadillac include highly detailed original 346ci Flathead V8, 3-speed manual transmission, pushbutton AM radio, heater/defrost, rear wheel skirts, front bumper guard, turn signals, telescoping sun visors, carpeted floor mats, front cowl vent, chromed rear fender guards, and upgraded Coker Classic wide whitewall 225/75R15 radial tires with matching spare hidden in the rear storage compartment.

2002 BMW Z8 Roadster
- 29,830 Miles
- 4.9L V8 400HP
- 6 speed manual transmission
- Titanium Silver Metallic
- Factory boot cover
- Color matched auxiliary hard top
- Heated seats
- 18" silver painted alloy rims
- One of only 524 produced in 2002
A truly outstanding example throughout is has been wonderfully maintained since new! This 2002 BMW Z8 Roadster has beautiful paint without any paint work history, very clean interior leather, and complete with factory boot cover, windscreen, tool kit, both keys, and clean report. These cars are not only very exciting to drive and enjoy, but they have also proven to be very robust and dependable for collectors who also enjoy actually using their investments! These are incredibly fast, naturally-aspirated V8-powered cars, which are making a slow departure from the sports car market these days. The growl from the exhaust is exhilarating! A swiftly accurate manually-shifted 6-speed transmission and the simplicity of an interior with instrumentation catering only to the driver's eye really make for a visceral driving experience! And yet, you have all the creature comforts you desire, and nothing more. It just begs to be driven! I guess the BMW slogan said it better as ?The Ultimate Driving Machine!?
1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible
- 99,473 Miles
- 302ci V8, 4 speed manual transmission
- One of only 404 Shelby GT350 convertibles ever built
- One of only 82 in Sunlit Gold Metallic over Deluxe Black Vinyl interior
- 15" aluminum Shelby 10-spoke wheels
- Stewart Warner gauges for oil pressure amperage
- Special order #2747
We are pleased to have the opportunity to represent this 1968 Shelby Mustang GT350 convertible finished in its factory ordered color of Sunlit Gold Metallic over Deluxe Black vinyl interior with a White folding convertible top. Under the lies the original, numbers correct 302ci V8 engine mated to the factory 4-speed manual transmission and 3.89:1 rear axle ratio. Options on this example include power disc brakes, power steering, power glass backlite convertible top, extra cooling package, wheel lip moldings, original Marchal fog lamps, Tilt-away steering wheel, heavy duty battery, tachometer trip odometer, Visibility Group, Philco AM radio, padded roll bar, shoulder harnesses, Cobra lap belts front & rear, Interior Decor Group, rear splash guards, 15 aluminum Shelby 10-spoke wheels, and Stewart Warner console gauges for oil pressure amperage.
This example was special order #2747 coming from Larry Lange Ford Inc based in Cedar Falls, IA. It was scheduled for build on March 19th, 1968, but came in ahead of schedule being delivered on March 12th that year. Its early life is unknown, but the car lived out it retirement years in Phoenix, Arizona with title records from 2003 to date. It remained wonderfully original with exception to an older exterior repaint that today would be best described as very glossy and vibrant, but showing few touch-ups here and there. We suspect the top had been replaced at that same time years ago. The interior remained 100% original upon arrival to the St. Louis Car Museum with the seat foams growing tired, and the seat upholstery seams pulling away in the normal areas. In July of 2016, the entire interior was restored with brand new carpet, complete seating upholstery & foams, along with a brand new glass backlite convertible top & boot cover. The interior center console received a new, correct Cobra embossed armrest pad, shifter boot, chrome trim bezel, along with fresh wood veneer.
All four tires have been replaced with new BF Goodrich Radial T/A white letter tires; the fuel sending unit, coolant temp sensor, and sway bay links bushings which have also been replaced. The previous owners had already recently added four new shocks, new mufflers, oil pan gasket, and a fresh fuel pump. Today, the odometer shows 99,473 which we feel very confident is original, but without excellent records, we are selling the vehicle mileage exempt. As for the originality, we found the engine stamp pad to read 8T173042, while our vehicle number would be 8T183042. In our professional assessment having reviewed a number of vehicle stamps over the years, finding seven of eight numbers to match, particularly the final 4 digits in this case, we are comfortable stating this is the born-with engine this car delivered new with. Quite possibly an error on the assembly line during production. The block itself is further stamped with 8B9 on the front also indicating a correct 1968 production date with Cobra intake S2MS-9424A fitted with proper Holley S8MS-9510C/ List 4234 carburetor. The top loader transmission maintains factory inspection markings and tag stamped RUG N1 representing a correct 28-spine close ratio unit for a small block application.
All in all, we have zero doubt this is a 100% numbers matching and code correct example. We invite any questions. Please call to schedule an inspection.

- 306 HP and 329 lb-ft of torque
- 0-6 in 6.6 seconds with and standing quarter mile in 15.2 seconds at 93mph
- Impeccably restored with attention paid to the highest detail
Over 50 years ago, in September of 1965, the General Manager of Shelby American, Peyton Cramer, and the Hertz Corporation came to a brilliant business agreement: They would offer the 1966 GT350-H as a rental car through the now-famous Hertz Rent-a-Racer Program. This deal created 1,000 Shelby Mustang GT350-Hs for use in the Hertz rental fleet, allowing customers to do more than just rent a standard rental vehicle for their needs.
A brochure from 1966 introduced the cars to eager renters, These cars are available to business travelers who want a change of pace in motoring, by sports car owners away from home and by vacations who consider driving an enjoyable sport.
The Rent-a-Racer Program inspired more customers to rent with Hertz (who wouldn?t jump at the opportunity to rent their dream car for the weekend), while also creating more potential buyers for Shelby Mustang ? talk about a genius business idea.
Members of the Hertz Sports Car Club in 1966 who were 25 years of age or older would simply pay $17 per day and 17 cents per mile (a pretty great deal for the time) and get to drive away from the Hertz lot in a performance 306 horsepower Mustang fastback. For most drivers, this was a chance to sit in the driver?s seat of a luxurious and powerful vehicle for a great deal?when purchasing that model may have been out of their price range.
