2015 McLaren P1 XP Carbon Series

Lot # 125 (Sale Order: 26 of 68)

One of only five 'Experimental Prototype' P1 Carbon Series.

  • Only five pre-delivered P1s were (re)built by McLaren Special Operations during 2015/16

  • All the standard P1 body panels were replaced by clear-coated carbon fibre

  • 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 with a lightweight electric motor. Combined output 903bhp and 664lb ft of torque

  • 0-100kph (62mph) in 2.8 seconds, 0-200kph (124mph) in 6.8 seconds, 0-300kph (186mph) in 16.5 seconds

  • Dating from 2015, this XP Carbon Series is Saudi registered and has covered just 1,000km

Offered here is probably the most exclusive limited edition of the best all-round hypercar available today. This stunning McLaren P1 finished in Carbon with full grey/black Alcantara is just one of five produced by the most experienced carbon composite exponents in the world. The finish is spectacular, to say the least, and comes from the company that has been producing carbon tubs for their Formula 1 cars since the early eighties.

The McLaren P1 Experimental Prototype (XP) Carbon Series consists of five, previously delivered, P1s. McLaren Special Operations replace all the standard P1s painted body panels with clear-coated carbon fibre equivalents and alongside the carbon, this particular example has a selection of bright red accents on the side skirts, rear diffuser, rear wing, front splitter, wheel rims, brake calipers and various P1 badges.

The Carbon Series cars only differ externally from the other 370 P1s and are mechanically identical, powered by a 3.8-litre, twin-turbocharged V-8 mated to an electric motor intended to fill the gaps in performance from the conventional petrol engine. This gives the P1 a total output of 903bhp (727bhp from the V-8 and 176bhp from the electric engine). Thanks to the car’s monstrous power output and unique aerodynamics, including adjustable front and rear wings providing as much as 600kg of downforce at 160mph, performance is nothing short of electrifying. 100kph takes just 2.8 seconds, followed by 200kph in 6.8 seconds, onwards to 300kph in 16.5 seconds (five full seconds faster than the venerable F1) and a top speed of 217mph (347kph).

A high-density lithium-ion battery pack powers the electric motor, which can be left to deploy automatically or selected by the driver, who thus has the options of using the petrol engine on its own, the electric motor on its own, or the two in combination. The battery can be charged by the engine or from the mains, with a full charge taking two hours. As one would expect from a manufacturer that has been a mainstay of Formula 1 for the last 50 years, McLaren endowed the P1 with a number of competition-derived high technologies in the form of IPAS (Instant Power Assist System), DRS (Drag Reduction System) and KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System).

The pedigree is unquestionable and the clear-carbon effect with red detail makes a very striking statement. Saudi registered, in virtually as new condition having covered just 1,002km, and being one of only five, this P1 Carbon Series is a must for any collector as its reputation can only follow the same global status as McLaren's F1 supercar.

1970 Ferrari Dino 246 GT

Lot # 126 (Sale Order: 27 of 68)

Left-hand drive 246 GT that has covered a mere 4,300km.

  • This stunning, left-hand drive 246 GT has covered a mere 4,300km

  • Finished in the classic Ferrari colour combination of Rosso and Crema

  • The 190bhp, 4-cam, V-6 is mounted transversely above the five-speed gearbox and just ahead of the rear axle

  • The voluptuous Pininfarina-designed/Scaglietti-built bodywork is beautifully timeless

  • Very competitively guided for such remarkable quality

The Ferrari Dino was built to honour Alfredo 'Dino' Ferrari who died of muscular dystrophy in 1956. He was the only legitimate son of Il Commendatore, and unlike any previous road-going Ferrari, the Dino utilised a V6 engine (Tipo 156) which Alfredo himself had developed and advocated during his lifetime. Enzo Ferrari vehemently answered his critics when he said: "For reasons of mechanical efficiency he finally came to the conclusion that the engine should be a V6 and we accept his decision." The acceptance of this decision resulted in a legacy of Motorsport orientated derivatives from Formula 1 through to various famous sports car racing applications.

Following the continued success on the track and in order to homologate Ferrari's 1966 Formula 2 campaign, a new line of mid-engined production V6 Coupes with Fiat running gear went on sale in 1967 in 2-litre form, however, in 1969 a larger 2.4 litre Dino was introduced, named the 246 GT. The voluptuous bodywork, which many people still regard as the prettiest ever to grace a road-going Ferrari, was designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti and covered a tubular chassis which carried wishbone independent suspension at each corner. The compact, four-cam engine which delivered 190bhp, was mounted transversely above the five-speed gearbox and just ahead of the rear axle, allowing for both a comfortable cockpit and some usable boot space.

This stunning, left-hand drive 246 GT is showing only 4,300km on the odometer and is finished in the classic Ferrari colour combination of Rosso and Crema. A 246 GT Dino showing this mileage and level of quality is virtually impossible to repeat and, combined with this competitive estimate, this certainly looks like a very exciting proposition indeed.

1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL (W198) Brabus Restoration

Lot # 127 (Sale Order: 28 of 68)

The immortal 300SL Coupe must surely be the World's ultimate classic car.

  • One of 1400 built between 1954 and 1957

  • 2975cc, straight-six with 215bhp. 0-62mph in 9.3 seconds and 136mph

  • Finished in black with a red leather interior

  • Fabulous restoration by world-leading Gullwing specialists Brabus GmbH

Instantly recognisable not only by automobile buffs, but virtually anyone on the planet, the immortal 300SL (for Sports Leicht) Gullwing Coupe arguably competes for the title of 'Greatest Sports Car of the 1950's', and surely qualifies for anyone's top ten list of the greatest automobiles of all time. A period favourite of wealthy celebrities, it ranks today among the most valued and collectable sports cars ever produced. The 300SL Coupe was the direct descendant of Mercedes Benz Le Mans W194 competition Coupe, conceived in 1952. It was aimed at wresting the World Sportscar Championship from Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and Lancia, which were dominating post-war endurance racing. Mercedes-Benz historian, W. Robert Nitzke, writes that company management wanted to jump back into Grand Prix racing, where it had been so successful before the war, but lacked the time necessary to design, build, and develop a new single-seater for the 1954 season. Instead, Chief Engineer, Fritz Nallinger, suggested that the company build a new two-seat sports car utilising the strong in-line SOHC six-cylinder engine from its luxurious 300 series. Because the engine and drivetrain were relatively heavy, the chassis would have to be extremely light. Test Department manager Rudolf Uhlenhaut, having some experience with tubular chassis design, sat down with construction engineer Joseph Müller and laid out an extremely light (154 pounds) and rigid lattice-work chassis capable of accommodating the big in-line six. One major problem soon presented itself: there was no way to mount conventional doors without compromising the rigidity of the chassis. The solution was to raise the entry so that the doors cut into the roof, but that meant hinging them from the top, thus giving birth to this car's timeless signature design feature.New York imported auto-entrepreneur, Max Hoffman, is credited with urging Mercedes Benz to build a production sports car based on their 300SLR racer. He was remarkably persuasive and the new 300SL Gullwing, in final form, was unveiled at the New York International Motor Sports Show in early February 1954, with production beginning that Autumn. The new Coupe was only slightly changed in appearance from the SLRs but featured Bosch direct fuel injection. This prompted the factory to claim it was, "the fastest German production sports car". Between 1954 and 1957, a total of 1,400 Gullwings were delivered to eager purchasers, and in 1957, the elegant 300SL Roadster appeared, these proving to be even more successful from a sales standpoint, with 1,858 finding homes.

Finished in gleaming black with a fabulous red leather interior, this left-hand drive 300SL (W198) stands head and shoulders above any restored Gullwing we have seen for a long time. We understand that it was restored by Brabus GmbH of Bottrop who are known worldwide for the quality of their work building, developing and tuning Mercedes-Benz. They also have a much-respected restoration business and are certainly in the top five of Gullwing experts in the world. At the time of printing, we were not able to confirm the level of restoration applied to this amazing example, so for further information please contact Silverstone Auctions.

1979 Rolls-Royce Camargue

Lot # 128 (Sale Order: 29 of 68)

Rolls-Royce's flagship from the Seventies with only 13,600km.

  • An incredibly low mileage Camargue, at 13,600km

  • Left-hand drive, and delivered new to Saudi Arabia where it remains

  • In factory specification and finished in triple black

  • Opinion dividing when new, the day of the Camargue is finally here

Launched in 1975, the Camargue was the flagship of the Rolls-Royce range. With bodywork by Paulo Martin of Pininfarina and built by Mulliner Park Ward, it was the first post-war production Rolls-Royce not designed in-house and was Britain's most expensive production car at launch, selling for £29,250. The car made use of many mechanical components from other Rolls-Royce models and the mildly uprated 6750cc engine was from the Silver Shadow as was the three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. More precise rack-and-pinion steering was adopted from 1977 and an advanced split-level climate control system installed. The result was a powerful and comfortable two-door saloon with lots of space and phenomenal road presence.

Twice the price of a Silver Shadow and half as much again as a Corniche, the Camargue remained in production until 1986 during which time just 531 examples were built, the razor-edge styling dividing opinion like no Rolls-Royce before or since. Nowadays though, this extreme rarity has made the Camargue highly collectable and the majestic angularity of the coachwork is increasingly appreciated for its sculptural qualities, so evocative of haute couture of its period.

Dating from 1979, this left-hand-drive car was supplied new to the KSA where it still resides to this day. It remains completely in its original factory specification and although the combination of a Masons Black exterior and a black leather interior was unusual at the time, it now looks seriously cool. Having covered a mere 13,582km from new, this is surely one of the lowest mileage examples on the market and combined with it being one of the rarest, and most controversial Rolls-Royce models ever, the Camargue is undoubtedly a future collectable.

1985 Ferrari 288 GTO

Lot # 129 (Sale Order: 30 of 68)

A pristine example of the first of the marque's sensational line of supercars.

  • First and rarest of the modern Ferrari Supercars that followed (F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari)

  • Race-bred, 400bhp, 2.8-litre mid-mounted, twin IHI turbocharged, V8 with Weber-Marelli fuel injection

  • 55233 is the 135th GTO built and was delivered new to Austria

  • One of the famous 'White Collection' of seven Ferraris belonging to Chris Evans, put together by John Collins of Talacrest

  • Ground-up restoration costing in excess of £150,000 in 2009

  • Now finished in Rosso and Nero with only 31,000km from new

The original, immortal 250 GTO had been developed for the FIA GT Championship, duly taking the manufacturer's title for Ferrari in 1962, 1963 and 1964; clearly, any revival of the GTO name could only be permitted for a very special car indeed. Enter the 288 GTO. Like its illustrious forebear, the 288 GTO (the initials stand for Gran Turismo Omologato) was conceived as a limited-edition model, just 200 units being planned to meet the then-existing Group B homologation requirements for international sports car racing. Styled by Pininfarina's Leonardo Fioravanti, creator of the awe-inspiring Ferrari 365GTB/4 Daytona, the 288 GTO was based on the 308 GTB (another Fioravanti creation) and made its public debut at the Geneva Salon in February 1984. Fioravanti later recalled Enzo Ferrari's original design brief, 'There was no specific instruction, just to produce a car based on the 308 GTB that could be used for racing'.

Although superficially similar to the contemporary 308 GTB Quattrovalvole, the 288 GTO was radically different beneath the skin, mounting its V8 engine longitudinally rather than transversely, a change that necessitated a new chassis with a wheelbase extended from 234cm to 245.1cm. This new frame was constructed of steel tubes in the traditional manner while incorporating the latest in Formula 1-derived composite technology in the form of a Kevlar and Nomex bulkhead between the driver and engine. The alteration in engine layout had been made to accommodate twin IHI turbochargers and their associated Behr inter-coolers and plumbing; the adoption of forced induction requiring that the quad-cam, 32-valve V8 be downsized from 2,927cc to 2,855cc to comply with the regulations. Ferrari's considerable experience gained from turbo-charging its Formula 1 engine was deployed in adapting the 308 unit, the latter in highly modified 288 GTO form producing 400bhp at 7,000rpm and a mighty 366lb-ft of torque at just 3,800 revs. Top speed was a staggering 189mph.

Its three rear-wing cooling slots deliberately recalling the earlier GTO, the 288 bodywork likewise benefited from the adoption of F1 technology, being constructed of glass fibre and a mixture of the lightweight composite materials Kevlar and carbon fibre. Aerodynamically refined in the wind tunnel, the 288 GTO sported flared wheel arches, larger front and rear spoilers, taller door mirrors and four additional driving lights in the front grille, these subtly altered looks combining elegance with muscularity in equal measure. Given its race-bred, state-of-the-art technology and drop-dead gorgeous looks, it is not surprising that the 288 GTO appealed to Formula 1 drivers of the day, with Ferrari's Michele Alboretto and René Arnoux, and even McLaren's Nikki Lauda numbered among its owners. In the event, the 288 GTO never contested the races for which it had been conceived, as the FIA axed Group B, citing lack of manufacturer interest as the reason.

We understand that 55233 is the 135th GTO built (out of 272), was delivered new to Austria finished in white with a blue interior and was once part of Chris Evans' famous 'White Collection' of seven important Ferraris all finished in Bianco. It was subject to a ground-up restoration costing in excess of £150,000 in 2009. The car is now finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero interior and has only covered 31,000km from new.

With total production amounting to only 272 cars, every one of which was sold prior to the start of production in July 1984, these cars have been covetable ever since the production ceased in 1986. The modest number built, particularly compared to all subsequent Ferrari flagship supercars, has ensured that today it is truly a worthy successor to the 250 GTO and remains one of the most desirable and sought-after Ferraris of recent times.

2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman

Lot # 130 (Sale Order: 31 of 68)

Luxury on a very large scale.

  • The brand-new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Limousine debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show as a 50th Anniversary celebration of the venerable Pullman saloon

  • 20 feet long and five feet tall, the Pullman offers two backseat passengers incredible legroom

  • Two more passengers can enjoy that comfort in optional rear-facing seats that fold down

  • Powered by a bi-turbo 6.0-litre V12 with 523bhp (390 KW) and 612 lbs-ft (830 Nm)

  • Only 900km from new and presents as you would expect with such little use

  • A degree of luxury only rivalled by a large private jet

According to Daimler’s very own website: "Mercedes-Benz' unique wealth of experience as well as its role as a technical pioneer in the construction of prestigious special-protection limousines – a role which has been demonstrated time and time again over the years – puts the Stuttgart-based premium brand in a class of its own in this demanding segment. This is why governments, heads of state and royalty all over the world choose to make dignified progress in Mercedes-Benz limousines which are eminently worthy of the Pullman label. Like the famous Pullman railway coaches, the state limousines from Stuttgart are luxuriously spacious and outstandingly comfortable. The Pullman name was originally used to designate the luxurious open-plan railway coaches built by the American Pullman Palace Car Company and, as early as the 1920's, this name began to be used in the car industry to designate large, comfortable touring cars and prestige limousines with a partition between the driver's seat and the passenger compartment. Ever since, Mercedes-Benz has offered its customers Pullman limousines with an extremely spacious rear passenger compartment. Particularly notable among these are the Pullman limousines with an extra-long wheelbase which have been offered by Mercedes-Benz since 1963 and which allow four passengers to sit opposite each other in truly grand style".

Twenty-one feet long and five feet tall, the Pullman offers two backseat passengers incredible legroom and, powered by a bi-turbo 6.0-litre V12 with 523bhp (390 KW) and 612 lbs-ft (830 Nm), progress is remarkably swift. Finished in black with a white leather interior, this left-hand-drive S600 Pullman was delivered new to the UAE and has only covered 900km in total. This is a rare opportunity to own a vehicle that offers a degree of luxury perhaps only rivalled by a large private jet.

2015 Bentley Continental GT3-R

Lot # 131 (Sale Order: 32 of 68)

The most dynamic, responsive and involving Bentley road car ever with just delivery miles.

  • A limited-edition of 300 celebrating Bentley's successful return to International Motorsport

  • Finished in Glacier White with two-tone green graphics, and gloss black details

  • Powered by the 4-litre V8 used in the 2nd-generation Continental GT developed to 575bhp

  • A left-hand drive, delivery miles example supplied new to the UAE

Introduced in 2014, the Bentley Continental GT3-R was a new track-focused model hailed by its maker as 'the most dynamic, responsive and involving Bentley road car ever'. The GT3-R's original ancestor was the groundbreaking Bentley Continental GT of 2003, the introduction of which had marked a significant change of policy for Bentley Motors. Although still hand-assembled to a degree, the Continental GT was built using mass-production techniques and retailed at approximately half the price of the preceding Continental R, immediately opening up the prospect of Bentley ownership to a much wider audience. The first-generation GT was powered a twin-turbocharged version of the 6.0-litre W12 engine driving through a six-speed semi-automatic gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive. With 552bhp on tap, this mighty power unit was capable of propelling the two-ton Continental GT to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of around 197mph and these early cars were very well received. However, whilst enjoying the vast reserves of power available, W12 owners were not over-impressed with the fuel consumption and it wasn't long before the range was joined by the GT V8. Producing 500bhp, this all-new power unit incorporated the latest in fuel-saving technology, including cylinder deactivation and over-run alternator charging offering significantly better fuel consumption.

It was to be this new V8-powered car that would be chosen to spearhead Bentley's return to active competition. First seen in concept form at the 2012 Paris International Auto Salon, the GT3 was intended to bring the famous British manufacturer back to the forefront of international endurance racing. The car was developed jointly by a special team of Bentley engineers working with Malcolm Wilson's company, M-Sport Ltd and with its 4.0-litre V8 engine boosted to 600bhp, the rear-wheel-drive GT3 incorporated all the latest developments in competition-car technology. In 2014, the GT3 claimed Bentley's first home-soil win in 84 years when the works Bentley Motorsport entry, driven by Guy Smith, Andy Meyrick, and Steven Kane, won the second round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Silverstone. Whilst still in its maiden season, the Continental GT3 added a win in the Blancpain round at Paul Ricard and also triumphed in the Pirelli World Challenge at Miller Motorsports Park in the USA before the year's end. There was never any chance that Bentley's marketing department would miss out on building a road version, and the resulting GT3-R was launched for the 2014 season at that year's Pebble Beach Concours. Maximum engine power was reduced slightly (to a still staggering 572bhp) which, combined with a reduction in weight of 100kg compared to the standard V8, endowed the GT3-R with truly supercar performance. Equally impressive was the maximum torque of 516lb/ft, which was delivered at a lowly 1,700 revs and vectored for each of the rear wheels. In addition, the GT3-R featured shorter gearing, re-calibrated control software, an all-new titanium exhaust system, 21 inch forged alloy wheels, electronic stability control, and a Carbon Silicon Carbide (CSiC) braking system with 8-piston front calipers.

Externally, the GT3-R boasted a vented bonnet and fixed carbon fibre rear wing and boot lid, whilst the Glacier White livery featured contrasting two-tone green graphics, and external trim fittings were picked out in gloss black. The two-seat cabin was trimmed in a mix of carbon fibre, Alcantara, and leather, with a smattering of GT3-R badges. The UK launch price was a substantial £237,500 and this, and the fact that only 300 were built, also helped to ensure its exclusivity.

The striking example we have here was originally supplied to UAE where it still resides now, having only delivery miles on the clock!

2013 Aston Martin V12 Zagato

Lot # 132 (Sale Order: 33 of 68)

A worthy tribute to the legendary DB4GT Zagato that inspired its creation.

  • Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Aston Martin’s legendary DB4GT Zagato

  • Only 61 were built. This example is finished in Diavolo Red with Obsidian Black hides stitched in red

  • 510bhp, 5,935cc DOHC V-12 engine, six-speed manual transaxle

  • Independent suspension with double wishbones and coil springs. 4-wheel carbon-ceramic discs with ABS.

  • Delivered new to the UAE in left-hand drive. Factory fresh and basically as new

  • Thundering performance, understated refinement and every nuance shaped to perfection

Unveiled to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Aston Martin’s most legendary high-performance road car, the DB4GT Zagato, the V12 Zagato was first shown to the public in 2011 at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza, where it was heralded with the competition’s “Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes”, and would enter limited production in 2012. Like the previous collaborations between Zagato and Aston Martin, the V12 Zagato instantly became the most desirable car in the Aston Martin line-up at the time, replete with an intended racing series. However, fewer were built and sold than intended, possibly as a result of the car's rather optimistic price tag of £330,000, and in the end, only 61 found homes.

Immediately recognisable as not only an Aston Martin but one with Zagato coachwork, the V12 Zagato is clothed in lightweight, hand-rolled aluminium and carbon-fibre body panels and over 2,000 hours of craftsmanship were expended in the construction of each. This represents the extreme application of Aston Martin’s know-how and the technologies, materials, and techniques that have been gained by creating the recent generation of Aston Martin cars, making the V12 Zagato a modern classic Aston Martin like no other.

The use of the finest materials has always distinguished Aston Martin from its rivals. Exquisitely shaped alloys and soft British hide leathers are joined by high-tech materials like carbon‑fibre composites and lightweight metal castings. A number of trademark Zagato design cues include a contemporary vestige of the famous Zagato double-bubble roof, with short front and rear overhangs and a wide mouth grille with a ‘Z’ motif. In terms of specification, the options were virtually limitless, through the manufacturer’s 'Q' Division and customers were able to choose from five exclusive colours, inspired by those available on the original DB4GT Zagato. Inside, the leather was hand-trimmed in a unique quilted Zagato motif, carrying through to the seats, door panels, and rear parcel shelf.

Underneath the gorgeous coachwork was Aston Martin’s highest-specification Vantage drivetrain to date with a 510bhp, 5,935cc DOHC V-12 engine, six-speed manual transaxle, front and rear independent suspension with double wishbones and coil springs, and four-wheel carbon-ceramic disc brakes with ABS.

This example is one of those 61 cars and is incredibly special as it has only covered a handful of delivery miles and is effectively brand new. It's left-hand drive, finished in Diavolo Red with Obsidian Black hide beautifully stitched in red and was delivered new to the UAE. A truly stunning Zagato and one for the collector.

Thundering performance in combination with understated refinement throughout, and with every nuance shaped to perfection, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato is a worthy tribute to the legendary DB4GT Zagato that inspired its creation.

2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport

Lot # 133 (Sale Order: 34 of 68)

Bugatti's breathtaking new interpretation of their ultimate super sports car.

  • The Sport is 41kg lighter than the standard Chiron

  • Firmer chassis settings, all-new dynamic torque vectoring and sport-focused suspension

  • 7,933cc Quad-Turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,500bhp at 6,700rpm

  • Duplex 32-Point Electronic Fuel Injection. 7-Speed Twin-Clutch Manual Automatic Transmission

  • 4-Wheel Independent Suspension, 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, All-Wheel Drive

  • NB. This car is currently in London and will, therefore, be sold 'in absentia'

Aspiring to continue to push the automotive envelope, Bugatti’s engineers were keenly looking to the future and began working on the Veyron’s successor soon after the Veyron itself entered production. They knew that the car would need to be faster and more technologically advanced than its predecessor, but Bugatti’s engineers rose to the occasion, and the Chiron upped the ante in every regard. Named after the famed Monegasque racing driver Louis Chiron, it was first introduced to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016.

Having learned numerous lessons with the Veyron through their own testing as well as customer feedback, Bugatti used that car as a starting point and managed to find an additional 300 bhp within their quad-turbocharged W-16 engine. The Chiron was electronically limited to 420 km/h, although capable of faster speeds, but was limited due to the fact that tires capable of handling higher speeds simply did not yet exist in 2016, however, development is continuing apace. Five hundred Chirons were slated for production and currently, around 400 have found homes

Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, the Chiron Sport is Bugatti's breathtaking new interpretation of their ultimate super sports car. A firmer chassis setting combined with lightweight components provide even sharper handling and exhilarating agility - without compromising the Chiron's uniquely luxurious character. The Sport boasts firmer chassis settings, an all-new dynamic torque vectoring function and a sport-focused suspension setup and a substantial weight saving has been achieved with redesigned components and new lightweight wheels.

Specially developed for those Chiron customers who were looking for a distinctly sporting character, the Sport combines enhanced handling, astonishing agility and distinctive design features without compromising the Chiron's class-leading standard of comfort.

This astonishing 2019 Chiron Sport is finished in British Racing Green with gloss black wheels and matt black detailing, an unlikely combination on paper, but in the metal is simply jaw-droppingly beautiful. The interior is classic Chiron in Saddle Tan/Anthracite leather and Alcantara.  The number '16' in Gold is positioned prominently on the black-painted grid of the radiator grille and refers to the number of cylinders in the Chiron's engine. The car is left-hand drive and we understand has covered just 980km.

NB. This car is currently in London and will, therefore, be sold 'in absentia'

2018 Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet

Lot # 134 (Sale Order: 35 of 68)

Undoubtedly the world's most exclusive form of open-top motoring.

  • An exclusive, all-terrain vehicle with production limited to 99 units

  • Delivery mileage only and can be considered as new

  • V12 engine, portal axles, electric fabric top and a massive specification

  • Superbly finished in brilliant white with an exquisite, luxurious interior

  • This is a fabulous example. Very few of these sought after cars ever come to market

The Mercedes-Maybach G650 is a strictly limited production run of 99 units offering open-air luxury both on and off the road. In production since 1979, the G-class has a rich history of uniquely blending luxury with off-road capability. With its superb V12 engine, portal axles, electric fabric top and exclusive equipment specification in the rear compartment, this very special all-terrain vehicle meets the expectations of customers who demand the very highest standards. Whilst the driver and front passenger are accommodated under the closed roof, the rear passengers can revel in a maximum of comfort. In true Laundelet style, at the press of a button, a large folding top opens electrically offering a panoramic view of the blue sky whilst relaxing in their individual seats plucked straight from the impossibly comfortable rear row of the Mercedes-Maybach S550. On demand, an electrically operated glass partition separates the rear compartment from the driver’s section and it can be changed from transparent to opaque at the press of a button. Even the cup holders are thermally-controlled to chill the sparkling water in that Saudi heat.

The example offered here has only delivery use, therefore can be considered as new. Specified in left-hand drive with brilliant white paintwork and a very well suited, luxurious beige interior with black accents. Opportunities to acquire one of the 99 strictly limited examples rarely present themselves, particularly in as new condition.

1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow l LWB

Lot # 135 (Sale Order: 36 of 68)

Remarkably low mileage, beautifully presented and eminently driveable.

  • Sympathetically restored, left-hand drive, Silver Shadow l long wheelbase

  • Finished in Porcelain White with Bordeaux leather piped in white

  • One of only 2,780 long wheelbase cars and even fewer without the dividing panel

  • 6.75-litre, V8 coupled with Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission

  • Exported new to the KSA where it's still registered. Only 7,000km from new

From the time it was introduced in 1966 until its final year in 1980, the Silver Shadow was the mainstay of the Rolls-Royce range of models. The Silver Shadow offered a stylish and more practical alternative to the Silver Cloud it replaced and with unibody construction, hydraulically-actuated four-wheel disc brakes and four-wheel independent suspension, it was infinitely more modern and directly appealed to the new class of owner-driver.

One of the few features carried over from the earlier car was the overhead-valve V8 engine, now displacing 6,750cc, and benefitting from revised cylinder heads. Output was reckoned to be approximately 200 horsepower, but like a gentleman, Rolls-Royce never told. Although never considered a fast car, with the help of the General Motors-sourced 'Turbo-Hydramatic 400' transmission, the Silver Shadow was smooth, quiet and capable of rapid and comfortable cruising.

This particular Silver Shadow is a long-wheelbase car dating from 1975 and was finished in left-hand drive before being exported new to the KSA where it remains registered. Only 2,780 long wheelbase cars were built, fewer without the division between the front and rear seats. Cars without the dividing panel are more desirable offering more legroom in the rear and enabling the driver's seat to go back further. Remarkably, it has only covered some 7,000km during that period, incredibly low mileage and likely impossible to find again. The car has been subject to a sympathetic restoration, retaining as much originality as possible, and carefully restoring or replacing everything else with the intention of returning it, both visually and mechanically, to as close to new as possible. It is currently presented in Porcelain White with a Bordeaux leather interior piped in white and is an excellent example of the era-defining Silver Shadow.

2013 Gumpert Apollo S

Lot # 136 (Sale Order: 37 of 68)

1 of only 13 examples of the dramatic Gumpert Apollo Sport. Delivery miles only.

  • 2013 Apollo Sport finished in Matte Black and registered in the UAE. Delivery miles only

  • 690bhp twin-turbocharged version of Audi’s 4.2-litre 90-degree V8 mated to a six-speed sequential transmission

  • Amazing interior in black carbon-fibre with red-stitched, grey Alcantara and further red details

The brainchild of former Audi engineer Roland Gumpert and based in Altenburg in the far east of Germany, the Apollo draws heavily on his racing experience and his enduring links with the Ingolstadt manufacturer. Using a twin-turbocharged version of Audi’s 4.2-litre 90-degree V8 – complete with lightweight internals – and mated to a six-speed sequential transmission, the Apollo was available in three versions: the entry-level Apollo (641bhp), the Apollo Sport (690bhp) and Apollo R (for race) at an incredible 789bhp.

Production of the Apollo started in October 2005 and, not long later, the first fully functioning road car made its way to Europe, became fully road-legal and was sold in various Gumpert dealerships. Car reviewers praised the car's speed and cornering. During a review in Autocar magazine, chief test driver Matt Prior stated that "the Apollo recalibrates the meaning of pure speed and driving feel". On Series 11 of Top Gear, the Apollo lapped the Top Gear test track in a time of 1:17.1, setting a record that lasted for two years until surpassed by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

The Apollo S is equipped with an extended aerodynamic package and, in contrast to the three-part spoiler of the entry-level car, possesses a racing wing which produces even more downforce and pushes the Sport's maximum speed up to 360kph.

On offer here is an unused, delivery mileage Apollo S that was built in 2013 finished in matte black with red-stitched grey Alcantara and black carbon fibre. Believed to be one of only 13, this is a rare car and possibly one of the last from the production line before bankruptcy was filed in August 2013.

2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage (Manual)

Lot # 137 (Sale Order: 38 of 68)

A stunning UAE supplied, left-hand drive, manual gearbox, V12 in Cobalt Blue.

  • Supplied new to the UAE in left-hand drive with a manual gearbox

  • 6-litre V12 producing 510bhp. Aston's biggest engine shoehorned into their smallest sports car

  • 0-100km/h in a mere 4.2 seconds, this engine, gearbox and chassis work in complete harmony

  • In Cobalt Blue, with a manual gearbox and only 600km, this is a very desirable Aston

In early 2008, Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez confirmed that production of the V12 Vantage would commence in mid-2009, though with the 510bhp engine shared with Aston Martin's other 12-cylinder models rather than the Vantage RS prototype's 580bhp dry-sump racing unit. Based on the V8 Vantage Coupe, the production V12 Vantage is powered by Aston Martin's 6.0-litre V12 as found in the V12 Vanquish, DB9, and DBS models. Getting the V12 to fit the V8 Vantage chassis involved grafting on the engine cradle from the DB9, while the resulting weight increase and more forward weight distribution was accommodated by revised suspension settings. Boasting a kerb weight of 1,695kg (3,737lb), the V12 Vantage accelerates from 0-62mph (100 kph) in 4.2 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 190mph (306kph).

The V12 Vantage’s interior features plush full-grain leather with an Alcantara headlining, power seats and automatic temperature control. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls are standard for the base 160-watt audio system. Alloy dash trim was standard and piano black trim was available. Heated, memory seats, a voice-activated Bluetooth, a 700-watt audio system with Dolby Pro Logic II, and personalised sill plates were amongst the many factory options. Optional carbon fibre and Kevlar composite seats save 37 pounds per car, the instruments and gauges were redesigned to be more legible at speed and carbon fibre and Alcantara were used throughout the cabin to help lighten the car’s overall mass.

This left-hand drive, manual gearbox, V-12 Vantage was supplied new to the UAE and now resides in Dubai. Finished in a stunning shade of Cobalt Blue with a Spectral Blue and Obsidian Black leather and Alcantara interior, the car has covered a mere 600km from new and remains in pristine condition.

2011 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport

Lot # 138 (Sale Order: 39 of 68)

The 1,000bhp Bugatti 16.4 Grand Sport convertible is one of the engineering wonders of the world.

  • Targa-edition launched at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

  • 7,993cc, 1,001bhp, official top speed 253.81mph

  • Official World Record Edition established 269.806mph

  • Registered in the KSA

  • Full White with a striking red interior and 6,000km from new. One of only 58

The Targa-top version of the Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4, dubbed the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, was unveiled at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It has extensive reinforcements to compensate for the lack of a standard roof   and small changes to the windshield and running lights. Two removable tops are included, the second a temporary arrangement fashioned after an umbrella. The top speed with the hardtop in place is the same as the standard Coupe version, but with the roof removed is limited to 369km/h (229 mph) and to 130km/h (81 mph) with the temporary soft roof. The Grand Sport edition was limited to 150 units, with the first 50 going exclusively to registered Bugatti customers. Production began in the second quarter of 2009.

Several special variants have been produced. In December 2010, Bugatti began offering prospective buyers the ability to customise exterior and interior colours by using the Veyron 16.4 Configurator application on the marque's official website. The Bugatti Veyron was discontinued in late 2014. But special edition models continued in production until 2015.

On offer here is a 16.4 Grand Sport in Full White with a striking red leather interior that was built in 2011 and remains in standard factory specification. It has covered just 6,000km at the point of cataloguing and is currently registered in the KSA.

2004 Lamborghini Murciélago 40th Anniversary

Lot # 139 (Sale Order: 40 of 68)

Number 2 of only 50 '40th Anniversary' Murceliagos and only 370km from new.

  • Dating from 2004, this is number two of 50, 40 th Anniversary Murceliagos

  • Finished in Verde Artemis (jade green) with retro grey/Anthracite alloys

  • 571bhp naturally aspirated, V12, four-wheel drive. 0-100kph (62mph) in 3.8 seconds

  • Aircon, Xenons, ABS and ESP. Asymmetric interior in Grigio Syrius perforated leather

  • Lightly used having covered only 370km and in a commensurate condition

In 2004, to celebrate Lamborghini’s 40th Anniversary, the House of the Raging Bull offered a special, limited edition series of its supercar Murcielago. It had become traditional for Sant'Agata to celebrate important anniversaries and following on from the Countach 25th Anniversary edition launched in 1988 and the Diablo SE launched in 1993, Automobili Lamborghini introduced the Murcielago 40th Anniversary Edition which was limited to 50 cars. They were only available in an exclusive Verde Artemis (jade green) colour, with a three-layer pearl effect paint and featured some significant modifications – both internal and external – compared to the series production Murcielago.

The upper door moulds, as well as the voletto or pillar surrounding the rear window where the petrol door is located, featured an optic carbon fibre coating and the bespoke, model-only, alloy wheels were finished in Anthracite Grey and sported logos accurately reproducing Lamborghini's trademark. These cars were also fitted with a newly designed exhaust system and silver-grey callipers. Last but not least, the cars had a lateral side plaque featuring the 40th Anniversary logo as well as an internal limited edition numbered plaque located inside the rear window.

The interior is also new with an asymmetrical design. The driver’s side is trimmed with Grigio Syrius (dark grey) perforated leather and the passenger's side with smooth black leather, a bit quirky we know but it works quite well in practice. The new accessories are completed with special floor mats featuring the 40th Anniversary logo and an Alpine radio with incorporated CD player.

Mechanically these cars were no different from the standard 2004 Murceliago and utilised the 571bhp naturally aspirated, V12 producing 571bhp which was fed to all four wheels.

This particular example is number two of the 50, has only covered 370km from new and looks spectacular in its gleaming coat of Verde Artemis.

2009 Lamborghini Reventon No. 6/20

Lot # 140 (Sale Order: 41 of 68)

Limited production number, exclusive and collectable supercar.

  • Number six of just 20 exclusive examples sold between 2007 – 2009

  • Sought after, rare and highly collectable, examples seldom come to market

  • Very low use, indicating just 3,000km at the time of cataloguing

  • Carbon fibre body finished in Grigio Reventon with a Nero and Verde Oliva interior

Manfred Fitzgerald, Lamborghini’s Director of Brand and Design at the time, apparently made a number of visits to the NATO base at Ghedi and is believed to have used the Lockheed-Martin F-22 Raptor as the Reventon’s inspiration. It's fairly clear to see, given everything from the gaping front air intakes, the vastly reclined cock-pit style bucket seats and the wing-like scissor doors, that this Lamborghini’s design couldn’t be moulded on anything else.

The Reventon was the company's first real limited-production Halo Car created to give the world a glimpse of the brand's next production car which, in this case, was the dramatic Aventador in 2011. Lamborghini produced just 20 customer Reventons (and one for its museum), ten of which were destined for the United States.

As well as representing the F-22 Raptor visually, the car's pace isn’t far behind, with Lamborghini’s raucous V12, 6,496cc engine, pushing out 650bhp, combined with a six-speed, single-clutch, paddle shift mechanical transmission. Lamborghini also decided to opt for front and rear independent suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers, co-axial coil springs as well as four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, utilising ABS. This astonishing package means that the Reventon propels its occupants from 0-62mph in a Raptor-rivalling 3.4 seconds.

The bodywork is entirely carbon fibre and has some aerodynamic pieces, such as the subtle canards, leading to a 10% reduction in the drag coefficient as well as notable increases in both front and rear end downforce at high speeds. From the seat of this left-hand-drive model, the driver can observe the TFT liquid crystal screens, displaying the digital circular tachometer dials, representing those of a fighter jet. On the armrest between the seats, you'll find a plaque with '6/20' stamped on it, indicating that this car is number six of the Reventon's 20-car production run. Just like its 19 siblings, this example is finished in a special Grigio Reventon (opaque grey) exterior with Nero (black) and Verde Oliva (olive green) interior.

All 20 of Lamborghini’s Reventon were sold upon release to faithful collectors of the marque, and they seldom appear for sale making this a rare opportunity. Number six of 20 is displaying just 3,000km on its odometer and this nearly new example would be a fitting addition to any collection of ultimate supercars.

2017 Ferrari F12TDF 'Tailor Made'

Lot # 141 (Sale Order: 42 of 68)

This tdf is totally bespoke courtesy of Ferrari's Tailor Made Programme.

  •  Ferrari upped the ante in October 2015 with the unveiling of the tdf

  •  Shares the same 6.3-litre V12 with the Berlinetta but with 39bhp more (769bhp)

  •  0-100 kph (62mph) in 2.9 seconds and 0-200kph (124mph) in 7.9 seconds

  •  This tdf is totally bespoke courtesy of Ferrari's Tailor Made Programme

  •  In triple-layer, special order Blu Elettrico with Giallo Modena and Silver Racing Livery

  • UK-supplied, UK registered and 1,300km from new

The F12 Berlinetta is the ultimate front-engined, rear-wheel drive Grand Tourer from Ferrari and made its debut at the 2012 Geneva show. It features one of the last naturally-aspirated, V12 engines of 6,300cc which produces 740PS with a mind-boggling 690 N.m of torque resulting in 0-62mph in just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 211mph.

In October 2015, Ferrari announced a limited-edition variant, the F12tdf, its nomenclature referencing a competition variant of the 250 GT, so named following the latter's many victories in the Tour de France Automobile in the late 1950's/early 1960's. Like its illustrious predecessor, the F12tdf was a lightweight, track-focused model aimed at wealthy connoisseurs and gentleman racers and only 799 were built during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. The F12tdf utilised the same 6.3-litre V12 engine as the standard car, albeit modified to produce 770bhp, and the deletion of much of the leather/aluminium interior trim in favour of Alcantara and carbon fibre, together with swapping many exterior aluminium panels for carbon fibre, resulted in a weight loss of a substantial 110kg. The result was a reduction of the 0-100 kph time to 2.9 seconds, top speed was now in excess of 340kph and around Fiorano, the F12tdf was 2.0 seconds quicker than its standard sibling.

Ferrari Tailor Made is the exclusive Ferrari programme for those customers who want to customise each element of their car for a perfect fit, creating an unmistakable, one-of-a-kind vehicle which reflects their personality and tastes. Although, as the name suggests, a customer can choose from a huge variety of options, as a starting point Tailor Made cars offer three categories, Scuderia, Classica and Inedita. The Scuderia collection draws heavily on racing for inspiration, offering a host of materials and finishes created for competition including carbon fibre, sports fabrics, Alcantara, microfibre, Kevlar or satin-finish, matte or ultralight metals.

This left-hand drive, 2017 F12tdf has benefitted from the Tailor Made Scuderia programme and is finished in Triple Layer Special Order Blu Elettrico with Giallo Modena and Sparkling Silver Racing Livery. The bespoke elements of the car's specification include;       Blu Scuro Alcantara interior, Blu Scuro leather steering wheel, Giallo stitching, Giallo Modena rear diffuser dreamline, matte external carbon elements, yellow F1 button stripe, matte blue internal carbon fibre parts, internal aluminium elements and footrests in matte silver. Additional matts in Blu Scuro Alcantara with yellow stitching and logo, ball polished wheels, 4-point safety harnesses yellow, centre console panels, rear bench luggage shelf and straps, boot carpet, boot trim, seats inner trim, headliner (all in Blu Scuro Alcantara), suspension lifter, body coloured outer mirrors, titanium exhaust pipes, HELE system, radionavi system & Bluetooth, front and rear parking cameras, yellow rev counter, integrated audio system, adaptive front light system and yellow brake calipers.

Bespoke carbon fibre parts include dash inserts, racing seats, filter box cover, fog lamp,  engine covers, headlight bucket, under door cover, floor plates, parcel shelf and rear bench trim.

This is an amazing specification and we can't imagine there is another F12 quite like it. It was supplied new to the UK, is currently UK registered and we understand it has covered 1,300km from new.

1995 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo

Lot # 142 (Sale Order: 43 of 68)

A superbly presented, low mileage 993 Turbo in immaculate condition.

  • Dating from November 1995. Left-hand drive, US-specification car

  • Finished in Guards Red with Savannah leather and cashmere carpets

  • One owner and only 7,975 miles from new. Supplied with its original documents

  • In fabulous, virtually showroom condition

  • In period, there was simply nothing to touch the 993 Turbo

The 993 Turbo, introduced in mid-1995, retained a tight hold on the torch of the most powerful 911 variant whilst continuing the general development and improvements to the breed as a whole. Amongst the new features on the Turbo was an electronically controlled, viscous coupling, all-wheel-drive system, something Porsche had not offered on a turbocharged model since the 959 and a system that greatly improved the driveability of the car. Under the engine lid, now topped with a sculpted tail spoiler with downturned edges, lived the 3.6-litre, flat-six force-fed by twin K16 turbos. Combined with bigger brakes, fatter tires, a wide body and lower stance, the 993 Turbo was one of the fastest cars on the planet. With all four wheels helping to evenly distribute great handfuls of power, 0-60mph was dispatched in a staggering 3.7 seconds, 100mph whistled by in a further 5.7 seconds, and the linear forward thrust continued until the speedometer needle had said goodbye to 180mph and you were on conversational terms with the horizon.

Dating from November 1995, this lovely example is a left-hand drive, US-specification car finished in Guards Red with a Savannah Tan interior and cashmere coloured carpets. According to the odometer (in miles), it has only covered 7,975 miles from new in the hands of one owner and is in a commensurate, virtually showroom condition complete with all its documents.

2019 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake

Lot # 143 (Sale Order: 44 of 68)

When the Z of Zagato and the Wings of Aston Martin combine, the result is always special.

  • Dating from mid-2019, one of only 99 Shooting Brakes produced. 570km from new

  • Finished in special-order Topaz Chrome 2 with a stunning Sahara Tan interior

  • Powered by Aston Martin’s 6.0-litre V-12 producing 580 bhp and 630 Nm of torque

  • Superbly equipped with an incredible options list including the Villa d’Este package

  • Zagato and Aston Martin, a marriage made in Heaven

While only a handful of models over the course of Aston Martin’s century-old history have been fortunate enough to be dressed by Zagato, it’s clear that these models are amongst the most valuable Aston Martins in existence. Starting with the breath-taking DB4GT Zagato of the 1960's, the collaboration between the two firms remained dormant for over two dozen years before the next Zagato-bodied Aston Martin, the V8 Vantage, was introduced at the 1986 Geneva Motor Show. Fast forward nearly another two decades, and that was followed by the DB7 Zagato. Luckily, enthusiasts would not have nearly as long to wait for the next Zagato-bodied Aston Martins, with the V12 Vantage Zagato and finally, the modern Vanquish Zagato.

Aston Martin’s most recent collaboration with Zagato was first seen at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in 2016. Built on the Vanquish platform, this two-door Coupe boasted a variety of typically Zagato design cues, yet was instantly recognisable as an Aston Martin, albeit one with a bit more Italian flair! Shortly following the Coupe, several other body styles were introduced, including a Volante, Roadster and arguably the most compelling, a Shooting Brake.

The stunning coachwork was made completely of carbon fibre using larger panels and fewer split lines than usual, helping to create a truly handcrafted appearance and a seamless design, almost as if it was sculpted from a single piece of metal. Underneath its coachwork, Aston Martin’s 6.0-litre V-12 produces 580bhp and 630 Nm of torque, which helps the car sprint to 100 kph from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds. Further mechanical changes include a slightly more open exhaust, creating for a more sonorous exhaust note, and a slightly stiffer suspension.

As one would expect for a coachbuilt motor car, each Vanquish Zagato was fully customisable, leaving their lucky owners to tailor their new cars to their specific tastes. It would be difficult to find two examples with identical specifications, making each car just as special as the last and that was certainly the case here. This striking car is finished in special-order Topaz Chrome 2 which really suits the car's elegant lines and complements the stunning Sahara Tan interior. The long list of this car's standard features runs to two pages, however, a close inspection of the invoice from Park Place Aston Martin reveals that the options list was ticked to the tune of a further $173,961. This includes the Villa d'Este package (the badges, wheel spokes, and side strakes are picked out in gold – which is then brought through to the dashboard on vents and elements of switchgear) - $30,630, carbon fibre roof panel - $10,700, Burl Ash dashboard veneers and fascia trim - $29,061, and duo-tone machined aluminium-£45,495 and much more. In addition, the car has been equipped with a set of Bridge of Weir leather fitted luggage in Sahara Tan. There are only 99 of these cars and this is the only one that looks like this.

Truly stunning to behold and arguably one of the most compelling Aston Martins ever built, the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is a fabulous motor car in all regards and this unique, virtually as-new example, would be an exciting addition to any collection of modern supercars.

2008 McLaren Mercedes SLR Roadster

Lot # 144 (Sale Order: 45 of 68)

Stunning, UAE-registered, soft-top SLR with only 2,964 miles and offered at No Reserve.

  • 617bhp, 5439cc, supercharged V8 - the ultimate Grand Tourer with everyday usability

  • Introduced in 2003 and developed jointly with the McLaren Technology Centre

  • This example dates from October 2008 and was built to US-specification with a speedometer in mph

  • It's finished in Crystal Black Metallic with an ivory and carbon black interior and black soft top

  • It has covered 2,964 miles from new, is currently UAE registered and is being offered at No Reserve

Manufactured between 2003 and 2010, their new supercar allowed Mercedes-Benz and its then Formula 1 partner, McLaren, to showcase their collective experience in the development, construction and production of high-performance sports cars and, just like its legendary 300 SLR predecessor of 1955, it incorporated technological developments that were ahead of their time. Yet the term supercar does not do full justice to the SLR, which, its peerless performance notwithstanding, is a luxurious and finely engineered Gran Turismo in the best traditions of Mercedes-Benz. Rather than creating an all-out, no-compromise supercar, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren decided to take a slightly different route. Instead of placing the engine behind the cabin, the car had a front-mid-engine layout, with the engine sitting behind the front wheels and just ahead of the cabin. This, near-perfect, weight distribution not only helped to improve the SLR's handling but also provided the car with a rather spacious cabin and a decent boot, not common in cars boasting such performance credentials. As it was supremely engineered and built to incredible standards at McLaren's facilities in Woking, it boasted a very high level of fit and finish, absolutely appropriate for any car wearing a Mercedes-Benz badge.

The heart of any car is its engine, and that of the SLR McLaren is truly outstanding. Produced at Mercedes-Benz's AMG Performance Division, it's a 5.5-litre, 24-valve, supercharged V8 producing 617bhp, making it one of the most powerful engines ever found in a series-produced road-going sports car. Impressive though this peak horsepower figure is, it's the torque produced by the Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger that is its most remarkable feature. The torque curve is almost flat: there is already 440lb/ft by 1,500 rpm and well over 500lb/ft between 3,000 and 5,000 revs, and acceleration is equally phenomenal, with 0 to 60 mph taking just 3.8 seconds and the quarter-mile only 11 seconds. Of course, a car with such impressive speed credentials also requires an equally impressive braking system. An automatic airbrake and Mercedes-Benz's Sensotronic brake by wire system assist the massive carbon-ceramic disc brakes and help bring the SLR McLaren down from 120 mph to a stop in less than 240 feet.

Finally, in 2007, the long-awaited SLR Roadster was introduced. The carbon body had been further developed to achieve top-level torsional stiffness and a special challenge was the soft top which had to be totally adapted to the car's 206mph top speed. The soft top has to be manually unlatched but after that, it's fully electric and the crowd-pleasing signature scissor doors, that swing out and up on massive hydraulic struts, are similar to the Coupes

This striking example dates from October 2008 and has only covered 2,964 miles since then. It was built to a USA specification and naturally, the speedometer and odometer read in miles. It's finished in Crystal Black Metallic with silver Turbine alloys and a black soft top and the interior is superbly finished in Ivory and Carbon Black and, we understand, may well be unique to this car. It is currently UAE registered and is on offer at No Reserve.

1997 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo S

Lot # 145 (Sale Order: 46 of 68)

The Turbo 'S' is one of the most powerful models to have worn the 911 moniker and as a result has become hugely desirable.

  • Desirable last iteration of the air-cooled Turbo

  • 450bhp, 3.6-litre air-cooled, flat-six with twin turbochargers and electronic fuel injection

  • Six-speed manual transaxle, independent suspension, ventilated discs and all-wheel drive

  • Dating from July 1997, this is one of 345 examples, all built by Porsche’s Exclusive Department

  • Finished in Black with Cashmere Beige leather and Chestnut carpets

  • Just 32,000km, UAE registered and supplied with all  its documents and service history

Sitting near the top of the 993-generation hierarchy, Porsche’s 911 Turbo S was introduced as the first-ever model of its kind in 1997. The basic facts can look a bit dry; type 993, 450bhp, 3605cc air-cooled flat six-cylinder engine with twin turbochargers and electronic fuel injection, six-speed manual transaxle, front and rear independent suspension with coil springs, and four-wheel ventilated steel disc brakes, however, the Turbo S was a big step up over the standard 911 Turbo in terms of performance and price. Headlined by a 0–60mph time of 3.6 seconds, the S could hit 100mph from a standstill in 8.9 seconds, only half a second faster than the standard Turbo. But that didn't matter, the Turbo S was special and getting your name on the waiting list to buy one was nigh on impossible unless you were very closely related to a Dealer Principal. All 345 examples of the 993 Turbo S were built by Porsche’s Exclusive department and the specification included a number of unique features when compared to other 911's of the period. The car sported yellow brake callipers, a unique rear spoiler, polished five-spoke Turbo S wheels, an Aerokit front spoiler, an air intake in the rear wings, and four exhaust pipes at the rear. Inside, the car luxuriated in carbon fibre trim contrasting with the softest of leathers and provided the type of luxury that customers had come to know and love from Porsche’s top-shelf models.

The Turbo S delivered stunning performance in a package as luxurious and exclusive as discerning Porsche customers had come to expect and was one of the very few supercars that could comfortably be driven as a daily commuter. Collectors today value the 'S' for its rarity, performance, and the timeless styling of the final iteration of the legendary air-cooled 911 Turbo.

This striking example is finished in Black with Cashmere Beige leather and Chestnut carpets. It dates from July 1997, has covered just 32,000km, is UAE registered and is supplied with all appropriate documents and its service history.

2013 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition

Lot # 146 (Sale Order: 47 of 68)

The ultimate development of the world's ultimate performance car.

  • The Veyron16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition is one of only five

  • Created to celebrate the car's record-breaking 268-mph top speed run at Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessian

  • In black carbon fibre, with orange carbon fibre elements and orange details against the black cabin trim

  • Similar mechanically to the 1,200bhp/1,500Nm Super Sport with the speed limiter removed

To call the Veyron the most important sports car of this generation or any other is, quite simply, an understatement. With utter disregard to cost, it was built to be superlative in all respects and prove the brand’s relentless pursuit of superiority. No other car could ever carry this mantle because no other car will ever logically benefit from the same production budget that the Veyron had. Bugatti went to great lengths to ensure that even the most minute detail, which will never be seen by even the most astute buyer, was made of the finest materials on earth and finessed to the most razor-sharp tolerances, regardless of cost. The Veyron is, therefore, the benchmark against which all other 200-mph, ultra-high horsepower supercars will be measured.

This is the ultimate development of the world’s ultimate performance car. Bugatti engineers have modified, perfected and honed numerous elements of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 to create the 1,200hp Super Sport, with 1,500Nm of torque and a top speed limited to 258mph. This may well be the most advanced performance car available, but it is also very much in the Bugatti tradition. Even back in the time of Ettore Bugatti, customers would try and persuade the master designer to take his ideas that bit further, to create an ever more capable sports racer or grand tourer that went faster and handled better.

The Super Sport has an unmistakable low, long profile and the immensely powerful engine now gets its air from NACA cooling ducts set into the roof, rather than the engine scoops of the original Veyron 16.4. The front air intakes have been expanded and reshaped for optimum efficiency, while the lower ones curve elegantly around the front spoiler into the wheel arch. From the rear, a new double diffuser and centrally positioned exhausts hint at the extra extreme performance potential.

To boost the power of the awesome W16 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged engine, enlarged turbochargers and intercoolers have been used. To maintain the Veyron’s incredible grip and balance, the chassis has also been extensively modified. Slightly raised spring rates, stiffer and stronger anti-roll bars, and race-bred new shock absorbers have all been developed, adding precision and control at very high speeds. With even closer interaction between tyres and the four-wheel-drive system, the 16.4 Super Sport generates lateral forces of up to 1.4G and unmatched acceleration in any conditions. The famous, all-carbon-fibre, monocoque has been uprated to ensure incredible torsional rigidity and complete safety for occupants but, despite these advances, overall weight has been reduced. The entire skin of the ultimate Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is made of carbon composite, and the car could be specified in 100 per cent clear-lacquered carbon to expose its high-tech beauty.

However, enough is never enough, and in 2010 at the Quail, followed by the 2010 Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca, and the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Bugatti unveiled the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition created to celebrate the car's record-breaking 268-mph top speed run at Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessian high-speed oval. Only five of these cars were ever built, all presented in black carbon fibre, with orange carbon fibre elements and a smattering of orange details against the black cabin trim. These five cars were mechanically similar to the Super Sport but, appropriately, the 'speed-limiter' was removed.

Silverstone Auctions are proud to be involved in the sale of one of the five WRE cars and welcome any inspection.

1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona 'Plexi'

Lot # 147 (Sale Order: 48 of 68)

A beautifully presented ' Plexi' Daytona Ferrari

•    A left-hand-drive Daytona finished in Ferrari Blu and Pelle Beige•    Indicating just 10,626km at the time of cataloguing•    Superbly restored and amongst the finest in the world•    An early car fitted with the more desirable Plexiglass front end

Two years after Lamborghini debuted the mid-engined Miura in 1966, Ferrari launched its defiantly traditional and determinedly contrasting alternative, the 365 GTB/4. Almost immediately the 365 GTB/4 gained its ‘Daytona' moniker as a result of Ferrari's 1-2-3 result in the 1967 24-hour race at the famous Florida circuit. The Daytona's engine and handling certainly didn't undermine its racing nomenclature. The 4.4-litre, 4-cam V12 produced an astonishing 352bhp and, despite its, less than slimline, 1,633 kilos, the Daytona was billed as the fastest road car in the world at the time. Not only was 174mph more than brisk, but, crucially, it was faster than the Miura. The five-speed gearbox was mounted at the rear for optimal weight distribution and helped give the Daytona its predictable handling and solid road-holding. Like so many Ferrari of the period, the Daytona's beautiful bodywork was designed by Pininfarina with the car built by Scaglietti. The delicate front was cleanly cut with initially, smooth Plexiglass headlight covers and subsequently, pop-up headlights, the rear slope was suggestively rakish, and a Kamm tail provided further clues that this was a serious motor car. The wheel arch flares, although elegant in proportion, are the only real overt notion that this car has significant pace.

US safety regulations meant that the Plexiglass version became short-lived, and in 1971 pop-up headlamps were fitted instead.  A little over 400 Plexiglass-fronted Daytonas were manufactured, and Ferrari collectors now view those cars as the most attractive and desirable version of the model.

This stunning, left-hand drive Daytona does indeed have the sought-after Plexiglass nose and had covered just 10,626Km at the time of cataloguing. Superbly restored to a standard that means that it's quite at home with the rest of the world's finest cars on offer here today and perfectly finished in gloriously dark Ferrari Blu paint with a classic 'Daytona' interior in Pelle Beige leather, this car is a 'must-have' for any significant collection of Maranello's finest.

1973 Porsche 911 2.7 RS

Lot # 148 (Sale Order: 49 of 68)

Considered by many to be one of the greatest of all post-war road cars.

•    Regarded by many collectors and journalists as the greatest 911 ever produced•    Left-hand drive delivered new to Italy and we are informed is in ‘lightweight’ specification•    Restored in 2013 by Bale Motorsport in Germany and finished in, very rare, Emerald Green.•    Been with our vendor in Dubai since 2013. Certificate of Authenticity included •    Considered by many to be one of the greatest of all post-war road cars

The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 is regarded by many collectors and journalists as the greatest 911 ever produced. The car was manufactured as a direct result of Porsche's racing (RennSport) programme. Porsche stripped most of the weight out of the existing 911 by using thinner metal for body panels, thinner glass and removing soundproofing. Performance was also enhanced with larger rear wheel arches housing 7" wheels, a 'ducktail' rear spoiler, larger brakes and a larger fuel-injected 2,687cc engine producing 210bhp. FIA Group 4 regulations for homologation required that at least 500 examples had to be produced to exacting lightweight competition specification for road use.  Porsche eventually produced 1,580 RS examples made up of cars built to both 'Touring' specification, offering basic comfort trim and upholstery, and 'Lightweight' specification. Only 55 in total were transformed to full RSR racing guise, and they went on to dominate the 1973 European GT Championship with outright wins at the Daytona 24-hours and Targa Florio. Hence, the 911 RS legend was born and since then, its unique profile and ducktail, have become iconic in the world of classic cars.

Offered here is a left-hand drive, 2.7RS that the vendor informs us was first delivered to Italy in rare Emerald Green, the colour it wears today, and is in ‘lightweight’ configuration. The vendor also informs us the engine is original to the car but the gearbox is not. Included with this rare car is a Porsche Kardex and Certificate of Authenticity. A full restoration was carried out in Germany by Bale Motorsport and the Porsche was subsequently purchased by our vendor in 2013 and has resided in Dubai ever since. Further history about the ownership and specification of this special car is in the accompanying history file. The Carrera RS Lightweight is widely regarded as the finest road car produced by Porsche and considered by many to be one of the greatest of all post-war road cars. This well-restored RS in 'Lightweight form is sure to be equally enjoyable.

1992 Ferrari 512TR

Lot # 149 (Sale Order: 50 of 68)

Just 8,700 km and delivered new to Switzerland.

•    48-valve, 4.9-litre, flat-12 engine developing 428bhp mated to a five-speed manual gearbox•    A left-hand-drive example delivered new to Switzerland•    Finished in the classic colour combination of Rosso Corsa with Nero hide•    Showing just 8,700 km and supplied with its manuals and toolsFerrari unveiled the new Testarossa (F110) at the 1984 Paris Motor Show, marking the end of production of the legendary Boxer that had been the flagship 12-cylinder Ferrari model for the previous ten years. Styled by Pininfarina, the Testarossa (Red Head) paid homage to the great 1950's sports racers that originally bore that name, referring to their bright red rocker box covers. The mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration allowed the centre of gravity to be positioned in the middle of the car resulting in the weight distribution being 40/60 front and rear, almost an ideal balance in terms of road holding and steering response. The Testarossa was larger than its Boxer predecessor, some 6 inches wider and 2.5 inches longer at 2550mm, allowing for more legroom and combined with the raised roof height in the cabin made progress a little more comfortable, provided you could see the corners of the car, which you couldn't. Production of the 512TR commenced in 1991 with deliveries to customers in 1992 and was effectively a re-engineered Testarossa, although Ferrari was keen that it was regarded as a new model. As well as the slightly less dramatic styling and a few tweaks to the detailing the main changes were chassis and engine related. The power of the 4.9 Litre, 48-valve, flat 12 was increased to 428 bhp from 380 with a similar improvement in torque, and with the benefit of a 30kg weight reduction on the earlier model, 0-60 times fell from 5.3 to 4.9 seconds.

This particular, left-hand drive Ferrari 512TR was delivered new to Switzerland in 1992 and is finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero leather interior. Our vendor states that the car is completely original even down to its factory first paint and is supplied with its manuals and tools. Having covered just 8,700 km from new, this low mileage example is a great opportunity for any Prancing Horse enthusiast.
