1964 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III (BJ8) Phase 1

Lot # 632 (Sale Order: 32 of 146)

From 48 years ownership, always used, restored and repaired, a remarkable story.

  • Owned by our vendor since August 1972 and kept running and maintained every year since
  • Partly restored in 1993 and January/February 2005 (rewired and resprayed) - see condition report
  • The engine is basically standard apart from a longer-dwell camshaft, six-branch exhaust manifold and stainless steel exhaust system

Lot # 648 (Sale Order: 48 of 146)

Rakish looks and innovative engineering solutions ensure that this idiosyncratic Gallic charmer offers enduring appeal.

  • It has recently been re-commissioned following a period in dry storage and now presents really well in black with the traditional Grey Cloth interior and large white Bakelite steering wheel
  • NSU 864 is powered by the traditional 1911cc, 4-cylinder engine producing 57bhp at 3,800rpm
