***Auction Highlight*** 1920-s Lincoln Cent 1c Graded Choice+ Unc RD By USCG (fc)

Lot # 443 (Sale Order: 332 of 693)

***Auction Highlight*** 1920-s Lincoln Cent 1c Graded Choice+ Unc RD By USCG. Although readily available in lesser grades, Choice Uncirculated 1920-S cents are sca...morerce and Gem examples are unarguably rare. This Plus-graded near-Gem representative is suitable for any advanced Lincoln cent collection. Gleaming red-orange surfaces show occasional carbon flecks that suggest originality, although it is the strike that sets this 1920-S apart from most examples. Even the high points of the portrait are sharp. A few tiny marks are the only grade-limiting factors. I have included 2 examples for your comparison, an ms64+ and an ms65. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1901-p Vam 21 R5 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select+ Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 447 (Sale Order: 336 of 693)

***Auction Highlight*** 1901-p Vam 21 R5 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select+ Unc By USCG. The 1901 is the condition key of the 20th century portion of the Morgan dolla...morer series. Most of the nearly 7 million coins minted were either paid out shortly after production or were melted in 1918 under the terms of the Pittman Act. No bag quantities of Mint State examples are known, and most of the Uncirculated pieces around today turned up randomly in mixed bags or dealer stocks. Today, Uncirculated coins are in short supply and primarily grade in the MS60 to MS62 range. This Plus-designated Select example is a delight for the advanced collector, and finer examples are rare. The eagle's breast is a trifle soft, as usual, but the surfaces are surprisingly clean for the grade. A loupe reveals a few trivial marks on Liberty's cheek that prevent a finer designation. Other than a halo of amber-gold peripheral toning, this high-end 1901 Morgan dollar is brilliant. We have seen few finer examples. I have included another ms63+ for your comparison. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Lot # 450.5 (Sale Order: 340 of 693)

***Auction Highlight*** 1891-cc Vam 3 'Spitting Eagle' Top 100 GSA Hoard Morgan Dollar $1 Grades Select Unc. Up for Auction is the GSA TOP 100 1891-cc Vam 3 Spitt...moreing Eagle. Among all of the GSA Carson City Dollars Found the 1891-cc is among the lowest number and thus the hardest to locate. The coin is a TOP 100 Variety. A small die lump in the reverse field near the eagle's beak identifies this coin as VAM-3. Luster is brilliant and frosty, embodying everything that collectors love about Carson City Morgans with original surfaces. Strike sharpness is better than average, and only a few light abrasions on the cheek prevent a finer grade. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away Coin

1870's US Fractional Currency 15¢ Fourth Issue Fr-1267 Grades Choice CU

Lot # 451 (Sale Order: 341 of 693)

1870's US Fractional Currency 15¢ Fourth Issue Fr-1267 Grades Choice CU. Fractional or postage currency has a rich history. At the beginning of the Civil War peop...morele starting hoarding coins for their precious metal content. Coins became difficult to find because of the hoarding. People started to try to use stamps instead of coins as a means of commerce. The government decided to help ease the hoarding issue by issuing “paper coins” also known as postage currency or fractional currency. Fractional currency was first issued on August 21, 1862 and they were last issued on February 15, 1876. Three cents, five cents, ten cents, twenty-five cents, and fifty cents notes were all issued. Fractional currency is physically smaller than other United States money. It also does not have a serial number.

*HIGHLIGHT OF ENTIRE AUCTION* 1889-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms64 details By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 453 (Sale Order: 343 of 693)

***Auction Highlight*** 1889-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms64 details By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE AUCTION - Up for auction is the Legendary 1889-cc Morgan Dollar - Th...moree late 1960s was a good time for investors to seek out and purchase Uncirculated 1889-CC Morgan dollars. Already a recognized condition rarity at that time, the famous Carson City issue would only increase in popularity after the GSA sales of the early 1970s. In 1969, an Uncirculated 1889-CC Morgan could be purchased retail for less than $1,000, according to the Guide Book. The GSA sales of 1972 to 1974 changed the landscape of the Carson City Morgan dollar market. Many dates, including all of the early 1880s issues, were flooded into the collecting community in staggering quantities, primarily in Mint State. But the 1889-CC was not so well represented. In fact, only a single '89-CC dollar is known from the entirety of the GSA sales. It was clear that the high-grade population of this key date was not going to increase as did those of most of its counterparts. In just a few short years after the GSA sales, the value of an Uncirculated 1889-CC Morgan more than tripled. Today, the '89-CC is the rarest of the Carson City issues and is one of the biggest key dates in the Morgan series, regardless of mintmark. The date is scarce in any Mint State grade, but is particularly elusive in MS63. In MS64, it is genuinely rare, and finer representatives are extremely rare and headline auctions whenever they are offered. The present coin displays well-struck devices with brilliant surfaces that show partial reflectivity in the fields. One isolated Wipe on the left center of the coin, which can only be seen at a specific angle, accounts for the details designation. The Cheek is near pristine, and the eye appeal is phenomenal. Full Cartwheel Luster dominates the eye. This coin is a highlight of the current sale and an outstanding key-date Morgan dollar. I have included another ms64 for your comparison, it sold for $119,500 in 2017 and is currently on sale at collectors corner for $117,000 A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest

*HIGHLIGHT OF ENTIRE AUCTION* 1911-d Gold Indian Half Eagle $5 Graded ms63+ By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 454 (Sale Order: 344 of 693)

***Auction Highlight*** 1911-d Gold Indian Half Eagle $5 Graded ms63+ By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE AUCTION - Up for Auction is the Key 1911-d $5 Indian. A mag...morenificent example of this Denver Mint rarity. The complexion is radiant and flashy with strong luster and medium gold patina throughout. The fields show just trivial imperfections which are largely unnoticed to the naked eye. Sharply struck and attractive in hand. The production of 72,500 half eagles at the Denver Mint in 1911 gives this issue one of lowest mintages in the Indian series, second only to the 1909-O. Mintmark collecting was still in its infancy at the time and most collectors were content to add a Proof example for the year. As such, the 1911-D $5 is one of the most challenging Indian half eagles to locate in Mint State. While relatively available in AU, the issue becomes conditionally scarce any higher and most Mint State examples are at the lowest levels. The mass melting's of the late 1930s further reduced the number of available specimens. The 1911-D half eagle has long been recognized as a key date issue and is always in demand by specialists in 20th century gold coinage. I have included 2 examples for your comparison, an ms63 & an ms64. I think ours compares favorably. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1896-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms63+ By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 455 (Sale Order: 345 of 693)

***Auction Highlight*** 1896-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms63+ By SEGS. Up For Auction is a 1896-o Morgan Dollar ms63+ SEGS. The 1896-O was not a well-produced issue...more. Most Mint State survivors, which typically fall within the MS61-MS62 range, show poor strike definition and subdued, lackluster surfaces. This brilliant, high-end select uncirculated representative is satiny and attractive with surprisingly strong detail above Liberty's ear and on the eagle's breast. Abrasions, too, are impressively scant for this elusive New Orleans issue. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

This piece offers delightful mellow, deep orange-gold coloration amid rich mint luster and a strike that is bold around the peripheries, with minor softness on Liberty's lower curls and the left side of the shield border on the reverse. A great-looking example of this early Charlotte issue. The date and mintmark are nicely Repunched. Tied for 15th finest known. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away Coin

Grade-limiting abrasions are surprisingly insignificant, and the overall eye appeal is suggestive of the quality one typically sees is an MS63 holder. Offering superior quality for this challenging issue, this fully Choice example is ...moresharply struck overall with a smooth, frosty texture to both sides. Although not particularly rare in Mint State, the 1925-S is one of the most difficult issues of the type to locate with an overall sharp strike. This is an above average survivor in all regards, solidly in the Full Bands category with nearly complete peripheral detail and expertly preserved surfaces.
