***Auction Highlight*** 1896-s Barber Quarter 25c Graded ms63 details By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 477 (Sale Order: 326 of 609)

***Auction Highlight*** 1896-s Barber Quarter 25c Graded ms63 details By SEGS. The 1896-S Barber quarter is a low-mintage, key date, with a production total of jus...moret 188,039 pieces. The issue is scarce in grades above XF, and Mint State coins are nothing short of rare. This date is much more difficult to locate in Mint State grades than the vaunted 1913-S.The present coin is a delightful MS62+ specimen, with a razor-sharp strike, and lustrous, brilliant surfaces. Eye appeal is outstanding, and we expect spirited competition from series enthusiasts when this lot is called. A few minor light hairlines on the obverse explain the grad. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin

***Auction Highlight*** 1895-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded au58+ By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 481 (Sale Order: 327 of 609)

***Auction Highlight*** 1895-o Morgan Dollar $1 Graded au58+ By SEGS. The New Orleans issue of 1895 comes from a limited 450,000-coin mintage and was widely circul...moreated at the time of its commercial release. Uncirculated examples are scarce, pricey, and often unsightly with heavy abrasions. This highly lustrous near-Mint example is brilliant, minimally abraded, and only a faint brush of high-point friction away from Mint State. Strike weakness on the hair above Liberty's ear is typical of O-mint Morgans from this period. I have included another au58+ for your comparison, as well as an au58. Please note the differences between our coin and the au58. I think the + is warranted. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin

***Auction Highlight*** 1902 $20 National Currency Hugh McCulloch 'The Hunterdon County National Ban

Lot # 483 (Sale Order: 329 of 609)

***Auction Highlight*** 1902 $20 National Currency Hugh McCulloch 'The Hunterdon County National Bank Of Flemington, NJ' Grades. Hugh McCulloch was an American fin...moreancier who played a central role in financing the American Civil War. He served two non-consecutive terms as U.S. Treasury Secretary under three presidents. The series of 1902 Hugh McCulloch twenty dollar blue seal national bank was issued by national banks in all fifty states and even in Puerto Rico as well. National bank notes are different from other nationally printed currency in that they are printed specifically for each individual chartered bank organization. This assisted greatly in creating a system of bank notes that were the same across the country. This aided in travelers knowing what they were spending and receiving in change, rather than the times when each bank and state printed their own currency with their own designs. The National Bank Note system was abandoned shortly after the changeover to smaller size notes in 1929, making the third charter notes the last truly used issue of this kind. ***Auction Highlight*** 1881-o Mint Error Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM Unc DMPL By USCG (fc)

Lot # 485 (Sale Order: 331 of 609)

***Auction Highlight*** 1881-o Mint Error Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM Unc DMPL By USCG. This better New Orleans date is scarce in high grades and challenging to lo...morecate with either Proof like or Deep Mirror Proof like surfaces. Gem examples are rare. Fewer than two dozen Gem DMPL examples have ever surfaced, with this flashy silver-white coin one of the privileged few. A sharp strike adds to the substantial white-on-black eye appeal. I am including an ms65 DMPL by PCGS for your comparison. I think ours is its equal. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. Lustrous...more golden-tan surfaces reveal ample traces of the under type, especially around the peripheries. The boldest of these features is the date, which is clear to the unaided eye at the lower obverse border of the token design. The Indian Headdress and the shield an also be clearly seen. WILD restrike!!! Wisps of pale apricot iridescence further enhance the appeal of this bright and attractive Gem. Gruber was a merchant in weighing scales, his wares prominently displayed in the obverse design of these store cards.

***Auction Highlight*** 1853-p Arrows & Rays Seated Liberty Quarter 25c Graded ms65 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 490 (Sale Order: 336 of 609)

***Auction Highlight*** 1853-p Arrows & Rays Seated Liberty Quarter 25c Graded ms65 By SEGS. Dusted with iridescent golden-champagne toning, this is a lovely high ...moregrade representative of one of the most eagerly sought Liberty Seated design types. The luster is smooth with a satin to softly frosted texture, and the design elements are sharply to fully rendered from an impressive strike. The huge quantities of gold coming from California beginning in 1849 drove up the price of silver relative to gold, resulting in the melting of many minor silver coins. To counteract this, Congress passed the Act of February 21, 1853, which reduced the weights of the minor silver denominations, but left the silver dollar unchanged. The quarter's weight dropped from 103.125 grains (6.6 grams) to 96.000 grains (6.22 grams), significant enough to keep the coins from the crucible. The change in standard was marked by the addition of arrows at either side of the date of all affected denominations and a halo of rays surrounding the eagle on the reverse on the quarter and half dollar. The Philadelphia Mint struck over 15 million Arrows and Rays quarters in 1853 using more than 100 obverse and reverse dies. This would prove to be the only year of issue for the type as the rays were removed the following year. While this is one of the most available Liberty Seated quarter issues, it is decidedly rare at the Gem level and finer. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Three obverse dies and four reverse dies were used to strike the half cents of this year, but two different edge lettering styles were also employed. Of these, the Small Letters variant is the more readily available for date representation. This example shows even, honest wear, with strong detail remaining for the grade. Deep brown patina blankets the recesses, leaving the relief elements with a slightly brighter auburn hue. No environmental damage is observed A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win Coin
