Has fantastic paint rock glaze that really pops with earthy dark browns hughes, and iron rust color shearing typical of Eastern Crawford Co. Great legible stamp. Condition - has a minor chip in lip typical of normal use and wear. No cracks or repairs or other chips. A fantastic addition to any Becham collection or southern pottery collection. Standing 8 1/2" x 6" width at base.

Signed Columbus Jackson Becham (CJB) Crawford Co. Ga 4gal Sorghum Jug. Wonderfully potted Columbus Jackson Becham jug that has a great earthy green olivine glaze that really pops with proper lighting. Classic Becham handles, with his stamp. The stamp is very legible but does have a good bit of glaze inside the stamp. Again one of the most sought-after forms and family's of Crawford Co pottery. Condition- has a hole see pictures at lower base and was made into a lamp. Other than that the jug is mint. No repairs, from a middle Ga. lifetimes collection. Fresh to market. Standing 15 1/4" Tall x 10" Width at base

The jug bears a killer glaze of alkaline that shows a watered down glaze that shows the true clay body and the drying veins throughout the jug. Also shows crawling on the shoulders and handles which shows outstanding characteristics of southern stoneware. Of all the pottery Cagle Auction Co. has offered this has to be one of our favorites definitely in the top three jugs. Note worthy of any museum or any fine stoneware collection. Private Atlanta area collection. Fresh to the market. 12" Tall x 8 1/2" Width at base.

Stellar example of a Crawford Co. bowl, has a very vibrant paint rock glaze with tons of iron burst all around the bowl. Strong glaze that has been found on signed (BB) Billy Bryant pieces. He worked with Billy Merritt at middle GA. pottery. Condition, has one very tight hairline, goes from top rim to a inch and one half from the base. No chips cracks or repairs. Rare Crawford Co. Signed Giles Croom born in North Carolina in 1832. Half Gallon Jug. Stunning half gallon signed Crawford Co. Georgia with a lime glaze that just eye popping. Scarce signature, very few examples are known. Very legible stamp puts this as one of the most sought after stamp's from Crawford Co. This is the second we have seen before and the only one in gem mint ten condition and note the first we have ever offered before. Definitely can't find anything wrong with this one and noteworthy it should be in a museum none the less. NO chips, cracks, or repairs. From a private Middle Ga. collection. 9 1/2" Tall x 5" Base

JBL Signed Crawford Co. Georgia Jar

JBL Signed Crawford Co. Georgia Jar Outstanding signed Jessee Bradford Long 1808-1888. Circa 1850's this jar is no doubt commanding attention with a fine form and bold paint rock glaze. The mint double handles one being signed (JBL) just makes this jar just really stand out. The rim has one outside chip, and next to the chip a portion that was broke off and re-glued no color blending or chips around damaged area. On the other side a small piece was re-glued and no color blending. Solid jar all original with no repairs, makes this a piece to own for its authentic originality and great form. Fresh to the market from a private middle Ga. collection. 19" Tall

The detail of the handle terminal attaching to the neck and shoulder are just fantastically crafted. Has a script 2 on shoulder and a T stamped in the top handle. Overall will make a any collection pop, with strong eye appeal. Condition is mint as if it was just pulled out of the kiln and never used. Has a drying line at base, see pics, with heavy glaze build up, which is not a crack or hairline. Very typical of the clay and pots from Lanier Co. No repairs or chips or cracks. Standing 14 ½"

When it comes to condition it's near mint with only a small tight firing line due to a rock on the inside. Jar rings true and has no other issues.
