Kite Cigarette Tobacco Vintage Lithograph Sign Rare

Lot # 10101 (Sale Order: 2 of 615)

This sign was made for Kite Mentholated Cigarette Tobacco. The image features a great image of the carton entangled by the kite string of their logo kite, flying up above. The lithography was done by Allied Printing of New York. The colors are light green, olive green, slate blue, and dark blue. The print size is 18" x 12". The condition is good, except for some slight staining on the kite image, and on the letter K, plus some slight crease marks. There is a Union stamp with number 54, and #685. We don't know the age of this sign. It appears to show aging, and therefore we believe it to be an original and not a reproduction. The sheet is on dark blue paper backing. The black painted wood frame has a few light nicks. Its size is 16" x 22". You won't see this Kite sign very often, so let those bids start soaring!

Production Cel Pluto & Drawing Disney Orig Mouse Works

Lot # 10120 (Sale Order: 21 of 615)

This is an original production animation cel from the Disney TV show Mouse Works.  Mickey Mouse Works was created to recreate the golden age of Disney's animated shorts, featuring some of Disney's most popular characters. By using basic colors and the original sound effects, tremendous effort was put forth to capture the look and feel of classic Disney.  Pluto is unusual for a Disney character in that he is not anthropomorphized beyond showing an unusually broad range of facial expressions or use of his front paws at key points; he is actually represented as a normal dog.  There is a matching original production drawing overlay that is on top of the cel.   Production cel: A hand-painted animation cel that was actually used to create one frame of an animated scene that appeared in a cartoon.  Depicted in this cel is an incredibly happy Pluto. Original Production Cel Art with Background Copy Original "rough" animation drawing, with the notations in black.  Pluto has been penciled in with black. Cassa Ferris Wheel Vintage Wind-Up Tin Litho Toy-German

Lot # 10122 (Sale Order: 23 of 615)

This is a vintage wind-up Ferris wheel toy, made of tin metal and colorfully lithoed. The maker is not known, but it was made in West Germany. The key wind mechanism winds up fine, and a spinning arm makes the bell ring. The gears work, but the axle piece seems to be a little loose. The wheel has turned when we've wound it up all the way, and then it slows down and stops, while the bell still rings. The mechanism might require some tinkering. The detailed litho images include clown on front, a ticket taker in a window with sign marked CASSA (possibly the maker?), and 6 riders, of 3 different kinds. The colors include red, yellow, blue, green, black and white. Light surface spotting and rusting covers most of the piece, as is shown in the photos. This is fairly normal for a toy of this age, which we believe to be 50 years old or more. We have not attemped to clean this up. The base measures 4 1/2" square, and the total height up to the bar across the top is 9 1/2". This wonderful Ferris wheel toy captures the fun of the early amusement parks.
