At 21’8” the Alden Star is an open water racer and intermediate to advanced rower’s dream. Just 42 lbs the Star is constructed of vacuum-bagged fiberglass and carbon fiber and has an 18 ½” beam, a bit wider than a pure racing scull but considerably more able in windy or rough conditions. The rigger is removable, and a nice set of racing oars and a custom storage rack are included.

One of Hobie s very successful monohulls, the Holder 14 weighs in at 265 lbs and features a 6 ft 4 in beam. This unique and highly collectible 17’ fiberglass runabout with a 150 hp V-6 Buick motor and heavy-duty OMC outdrive is capable of 32-35 mph. Johnson and Evinrude each made virtually identical versions of this boat in the mid-60’s. This particular boat is in nice original condition and with a little cleaning and tuning it should be ready to hit the lake. A strong trailer is included.

Professionally built wood model of 1934 J-Boat yacht designed by William Starling Burgess and built for Harold Vanderbilt. RAINBOW won the Cup that year but was defeated ...morein the defender trials in 1938. She was scrapped in 1940. The model is 18 in long and 25 in tall, has excellent detail, and comes with a beautiful class case and wooden stand. BUT, at some point in its life the model was vandalized by an angry child (?), a jilted lover (?), or maybe a spouse or ex-spouse (?) who cut all of the rigging. However, a competent model builder can repair the damage with skill, patience, and eyesight well beyond mine. The model also comes with a well-padded shipping container if you decide you want to send it off to a pro for repair. OR, display like it is and enjoy the beautiful lines of the yacht.

1956 16 ft Century Resorter was Purchased from a boat museum in Virginia and used regularly on Lake Winnipesaukee. This Resorter is finally for sale. It is powered by a Gray Marine 6-cylinder 110 hp engine and uses the original 6 volt electrical system. Beautiful upholstery and dash panel, although an instrument or two will need the wiring checked or replaced. The engine has been professionally maintained and was carefully winterized after its last use 2 years ago. The bottom was sanded and repainted this year. Century’s Resorter, available in two sizes, was the companys best-selling model for years and this one is one of the nicest. A 2007 trailer is included.

Both Main and Jib are in great shape, along with 2 centerboards, one fairly new and a second that has some wear, which I used for teaching friends to sail. Rudder and all equipment is in very good working order. Can easily be sailed solo with just the main, or with both sails out. Or bring a friend for the fun. It seems as if there was some rot or perhaps the previous owner backed into a concrete pier. So, a new transom needs to be built and fitted. Estimates range from $1500 to $3000 for a professional job or less if you are a good woodworker. Beside the transom job, the boat appears to be in first class shape. Trailer included.
