***Auction Highlight*** 1855 N-4 Braided Hair Large Cent 1c Graded ms66 bn By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 117 (Sale Order: 79 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1855 N-4 Braided Hair Large Cent 1c Graded ms66 bn By SEGS. Within 1 Point of the Finest Known in Brown. To date neither SEGS or PCGS have ever ...moregraded an 1855 in ms67, and NGC has graded 3. The example at hand is among the finest known 1855 Braided Hair large Cents. It is truly a pleasure to bring it to you today. It is the Newcomb-4 and the Upright 55 variety. This is a charming example with mottled lilac-brown patina to surfaces that also retain ample pinkish-rose luster, the latter of particular note for the obverse. That side of the coin is sharply defined in the centers, while the reverse is well struck throughout. Smooth and satiny in texture with strong eye appeal, this delightful Gem is equally well suited for inclusion in a high grade type or variety set. ***Auction Highlight*** 1874-cc Arrows Seated Liberty Dime 10c Graded au50 details By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 118 (Sale Order: 80 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1874-cc Arrows Seated Liberty Dime 10c Graded au50 details By SEGS. 0 Boldly defined in the absence of all but light wear, this handsome piec...moree is layered in warm, slightly mottled, steel gray patina. Wispy abrasions are largely confined to the central reverse field, and most are well concealed by the toning and not outwardly distracting. The obverse is overall smooth, and the amount of remaining detail is truly impressive in an example of this elusive and conditionally challenging issue. The details designation is due to a minor rim issue I believe. The original mintage of 10,817 pieces had a rather dismal survive ratio with a mere 50 to 80 pieces known today. The Carson City Mint issues of this period tended to circulate hard, as there was great need for them in commerce, so precious few were saved and high grade examples are particularly difficult for collectors to obtain. This issue has earned its way to the top of rarity list for Liberty Seated dimes, and is the rarest of the obtainable issues struck. While the 1874-CC is still quite expensive for most collectors, one can be obtained with patience in lower grades. This great AU-50 details example will no doubt be a major centerpiece of an advanced collection of this series, and will induce great envy from any collector who has the privilege to even view this handsome and desirable rarity.

***Auction Highlight*** 1815/2 O-101a R-3 Capped Bust Half Dollar 50c Graded xf+ By USCG (fc)

Lot # 120 (Sale Order: 81 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1815/2 O-101a R-3 Capped Bust Half Dollar 50c Graded xf+ By USCG. 0 The undisputed key date of the design type, 1807 to 1836; just 47,150 exa...moremples were struck, far and away the lowest mintage in a series where large mintages of a million or more pieces was the norm. The late die state of the 1815/2 is somewhat scarcer than the earlier Overton-101 variety, confirmed by a rising die crack that runs through 50 C on the reverse. All 1815 half dollars, were struck from the same set of dies, distinguished by the famous overdate. This example is in a late die state with a crack through the denomination and heavy clashing on each side. Traces of the underdigit 2 remain around the 5. This Choice XF representative saw modest circulation. It shows a bit of high-point rub, but hints of luster glow from the recesses and design definition remains strong overall. Attractive steel grey rim toning on the obvere and colorful blue on the reverse. Only the eagle's head and the edge of the left (facing) wing are notably incomplete. Superb example bordering on AU.

***Auction Highlight*** 1879-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms66+ DMPL By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 121 (Sale Order: 82 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1879-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms66+ DMPL By SEGS. Within ½ a point of the Finest Known! A surprising number of Deep Mirror Prooflike examples ha...moreve been designated as such for this second-year San Francisco Mint issue, in grades up to and including MS65. At MS66, however, DMPLs are scarce, and at MS67 they are rare, with just 12 such coins certified by the three services combined. This piece is a stunning representative, with white-on-black contrast on both sides so intense that it will impress even the most experienced Morgan dollar specialist. This piece is fully struck on both sides and brilliant on the obverse, with a light coating of gold patina on the reverse. The surfaces are well preserved and minimally marked throughout, in keeping with the grade. A great coin in every respect. Among the Finest Known. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1839-c Charlotte Classic Head $2 1/2 Gold Graded au58 Details By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 122 (Sale Order: 83 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1839-c Charlotte Classic Head $2 1/2 Gold Graded au58 Details By SEGS. Up for Auction is one of the few surviving near mint state examples ...moreof the 1839-c $2 ½ Classic Head Gold. Second and final year of the Obverse Mintmark subtype, here from the Charlotte Mint which, like New Orleans and Dahlonega, had opened the previous year, 1838. The 3 in the date is recut to the north of the original digit, while the 9 in the date is recut to the east. Both sides have a series of interesting die cracks. The obverse has a crack that runs through the left side of the original low 3 in the date, through the later 3, upward onto the face to the earlobe. A second crack, from a late state where the die may be close to shattering, runs from the obverse centering dot through the cheek and to star 2. Yet another runs from the top of the T in LIBERTY to star 9. On the reverse, one crack runs from under the beak to near the top of the eagle's wing and onward to the rim. A second crosses from the left (facing) top shield point, through the beak and to the lower right corner of the A in STATES. A final crack runs from the eagle's claws down through the large 2 and thence to the rim. Both sides are orange-gold with glints of hazel. Minor field chatter and a few light abrasions are grade-consistent. This piece is a rarity, as both the issue and the variety are seldom seen in near-Mint State. 1918 $1 National Currency "Flying Eagle" Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, MN Grades vf++

Lot # 130 (Sale Order: 89 of 201)

1918 $1 National Currency "Flying Eagle" Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, MN Grades vf++. There are three different years found on series of 1918 one dollar b...moreills.  Despite also saying 1914 and 1913, these are referred to by collectors as 1918 federal reserve bank notes.  Collectors have given this note the nickname of the “Flying Eagle.”  The back of the note shows why the bill received its nickname. Keep in mind that series of 1918 one dollar federal reserve bank notes were issued for 12 different banks. The artwork will all be the same though.  George Washington is on the left hand side of the bill.  There is a blue seal on the right hand side of the bill and the serial numbers are in blue ink.

***Auction Highlight*** 1916-s Gold Indian Half Eagle $5 Graded Select Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 132 (Sale Order: 91 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1916-s Gold Indian Half Eagle $5 Graded Select Unc By USCG.Although several small hoards of Uncirculated coins entered the numismatic market from ...moreoverseas sources beginning in the early to mid 1980s, the 1916-S remains elusive in mint state. The typical hoard coin, while invariably well struck, is heavily abraded with inferior luster quality. Additionally, not enough Mint State examples have been located to place the 1916-S among the more plentiful Indian half eagles. Accordingly this is one of the scarcer issues of its type in Mint State. With the technical quality and eye appeal offered here the 1916-S is rarer yet, a fact that is sure to result in strong competition for this lot.

***Auction Highlight*** 1880-cc vam 10 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms65 DMPL By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 133 (Sale Order: 92 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1880-cc vam 10 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms65 DMPL By SEGS.Within 1 Point of the Finest Known! Less than 5 coins ever graded finer than this example...more. This impressive strike and condition rarity will catch the eye of both advanced Carson City Mint enthusiasts and specialists in DMPL Morgan dollars. Both sides exhibit bold contrast, with reflective fields and richly frosted design elements. The strike is full even over the central high points -- something not always seen in 1880-CC dollars of the Reverse of 1879 hub variety -- and the surfaces are remarkably well preserved with outstanding visual appeal. As a Carson City Mint issue with a mintage of 495,000 pieces (net after melting), the 1880-CC Morgan dollar has always been eagerly sought. We expect intense bidder competition for this significant coin among collectors seeking exceptional quality.

Lot # 138 (Sale Order: 97 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1855 Arrows Seated Half Dollar 50c Graded Choice Unc By USCG.If you are forming a high quality type set ,this Choice Mint State example, will fill...more the bill exactly. The obverse and reverse show commanding luster in the fields and the strike is bold on each and every device. There is a hint of a pale rose patina, likely from long storage. The quality of the surfaces is terrific. The Arrows at the date signify a reduction in the silver content of the planchets, done in order to bring the face value of silver coins back below the silver melt value. Rarely are these early Liberty Seated half dollars found in such nice condition, as they simply did not survive the generations so unscathed.

***Auction Highlight*** 1787 New Jersey Maris 55.M R-4 Colonial Cent 1c Graded vf35 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 141 (Sale Order: 100 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1787 New Jersey Maris 55.M R-4 Colonial Cent 1c Graded vf35 By SEGS. To Quote Scott Rubin “One variety of 1787 New Jersey Coppers has the seco...morend letter U in PLURIBUS punched over the letter S. In Edward Maris’ 1881 book on New Jersey Coppers the designation m was given to this reverse die. This die is only known used with one obverse die, the one designated number 55 by Maris. The M 55-m variety with the U over an S is a very scarce issue with less than two hundred specimens believed existent today. This U over S in PLURIBUS variety is very obvious and collectable though rather hard to find. Today we are proud to offer yu, not only one of the elusive 200, but a coin that is definitely worthy of a spot on the condition census. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
