***Auction Highlight*** 1878-p 7tf Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms65 dmpl By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 179 (Sale Order: 128 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1878-p 7tf Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms65 dmpl By SEGS.Within 1 point of the finest known, only 3 coins ever graded finer. This is a superb DMPL ex...moreample of the 1878 7TF, Reverse of 1878 silver dollar. Both sides are brilliant apart from the attractive thin golden rim toning around the lower obverse and lower reverse borders. Fully struck devices are satiny in texture, especially on the obverse, while the fields are remarkably reflective. The surfaces are appealing and solidly graded at the premium Gem level. Writing in the timeless reference The Morgan and Peace Dollar Textbook, Wayne Miller states: "The 1878 7-tail feather [Reverse of 1878] dollar is not rare in prooflike condition. However, prooflikes of this date are not generally attractive. The luster is subdued, bagmarks are heavy, and there is usually little contrast between field and devices. Most prooflikes are brilliant rather than cameo." This exceptionally well preserved survivor also offers uncommon field-to-device contrast for the issue, especially on the obverse. Seemingly earmarked for inclusion in the finest collection of DMPL Morgan dollars.

***Auction Highlight*** 1936 Lynchburg Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms67 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 180 (Sale Order: 129 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1936 Lynchburg Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms67 By SEGS. The Commemorative was Struck Honoring the Sesquicentennial, or 150th Anniversary o...moref Lynchburg, Virginia. This Issue is Often Found Not Fully Struck, the Highpoints of its Design looking Grainy as the result of Planchet’s Natural Texture still being in evidence. By Not Filling the Dies, this Texture was left intact. Areas in which to look for weakness are Liberty’s Head and Her Thigh, near the Motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM'. Wear, if any, will First Appear on the Senator’s Hair Above His Ear, also on Liberty’s Head and Chest.

***Auction Highlight*** 1884-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms62 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 183 (Sale Order: 132 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1884-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms62 By SEGS.Here is a noteworthy Uncirculated example of this well known condition rarity among Morgan silver doll...morears. It is exceptionally attractive for the grade, with surfaces that are lustrous with a very smooth appearance. There are certainly no sizable or otherwise individually mentionable marks, and those that are present are few in number for the assigned grade. Brilliant on the reverse, and semi proof like on the obverse. Sharply struck. Just right for inclusion in an advanced collection of America's favorite silver dollar. The 1884-S is one of several issues in this series that are readily obtainable in circulated condition but develop into significant condition rarities in Mint State. It is likely that the vast majority of the 3,200,000-piece mintage was placed into circulation during the final years of the 19th century through the early decades of the 20th century. Countless others may have been melted under the terms of the 1918 Pittman Act, although some Uncirculated coins survived in storage in both the San Francisco Mint and at the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. Quantities in both locations were limited, however, and it appears that mostly individual examples were paid out at widely spaced intervals from the 1920s through the 1950s. Q. David Bowers (1993) does speak of a few bags emerging from storage in the San Francisco Mint during the 1950s, but the number of Mint State 1884-S dollars from all sources is in no way sufficient to meet current market demand for this popular and widely collected series. Among the more significant Morgan dollar offerings in the present sale, this impressive 1884-S represents an important bidding opportunity that is not to be missed.

***Auction Highlight*** 1886-p Rainbow Toned Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms67+ By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 193 (Sale Order: 138 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** 1886-p Rainbow Toned Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms67+ By SEGS. Splendid Superb Gem quality for the discerning type collector or Morgan dollar spec...moreialist. Fully struck with bountiful mint luster, both sides are bright, brilliant and beautiful. Accented by colorful & attractive rim toning. At 19,963,000 circulation strikes produced, the 1886 boasts the highest mintage for a silver dollar of any design type produced up to that point in time. Thanks to the release of large numbers of examples from government storage throughout much of the early to mid-20th century, the 1886 is one of the most common Morgan dollars in Mint State. As with so many issues in this series, however, the 1886 becomes scarce to rare in the finest Mint State grades, which for the 1886 means MS-67+ and finer. Among the nicest examples that we have offered in recent sales, this virtually pristine beauty would do justice to any high quality collection. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Sahara 1903 Barber & 1918 Wa

Lot # 211 (Sale Order: 150 of 201)

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Sahara 1903 Barber & 1918 Walker Ends. Up for auction is a Consignment I have secured a col...morelection of old 1960’s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn’t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. I have only seen a handful of these ever. The consignee has given us some additional rolls. We estimate the rolls to be worth $2000 each as a collectable antique, but if the roll is opened and has a rare date, who knows the value, a 1921 Walker even in low grade is worth over $500, and several other dates are worth over $200 each. But who knows, maybe a rare 1878-s Seated is inside. ($35k in g4), or an 1892-o Barber ($5k in G4). In any event the rolls themselves are amazing collectibles of a bygone era of the Rat pack and Las Vegas. From the rolls we have received there are 10 different casinos. Good Luck.
