Bid with confidence knowing Auctioneer cannot see your high bid. Opening bids are LOW and do not reflect the value of any item. Please view lot photos PRIOR to bidding on a lot.
YOUR BID shall be conclusive proof that you have made yourself acquainted with these conditions and those stated in Information and Special Terms and you have agreed to be bound by them. We encourage and welcome any questions BEFORE placing a bid, as ALL SALES ARE FINAL, all items are sold as-is, where-is.
Bidder shall be the sole judge of value. We do not and cannot guarantee nor warranty any item. For each item we bring to auction, it is bidder responsibility to determine condition, value, or any other factor; we make no representations to any aforementioned criteria, and all titles and descriptions are statements of opinion. In no event shall we be responsible for having made or implied any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Each lot has photograph(s) and is described by the Seller; please use your own expertise when bidding. We strongly encourage you to ask if you seek further details.
REMOVAL DATE AND TIME: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 from 10 AM to 1 PM only.
Lots not removed by the end of the removal period will be considered abandoned to the Seller unless arranged for shipping. No refunds will be processed. Proof of purchase and ID is required when picking up.
PICKUP: Winning bidders, their agents, or their 3rd party shippers are responsible for the removal of the entire lot. Winners must be able to remove items during the removal period, rain or shine. Please bring adequate helpers, equipment, and supplies required to safely and completely transport your winnings, as none will be provided.
SHIPPING: If Shipping is NOT available for a lot, it is noted in the description of that lot. Eligible lots ship from The UPS Store in Mt. Pocono beginning the following week. A rep will contact you directly for timing and payment. Firearms ship by Legacy Auction & Realty to your FFL dealer only.
FIREARMS: Firearms will be shipped to your local FFL Dealer for Transfer. Shipping is USPS Priority label plus $10.
PAYMENT: Invoices are sent immediately following the sale. Your credit card on file will be processed for payment for your purchases by midnight on auction day. Please ensure the account number and expiration date is accurate and the card can bear the weight of your purchases. Issues with payment will result in a suspended account with us and the bidding platform. No item will be released without payment in full and until funds have cleared our bank. PA Sales Tax will be applied on winnings unless you have a PA Tax Exemption on file with Proxibid, with no exceptions.
OTHER PAYMENT: Credit card payments may not exceed $3,000. If the balance due exceeds this, the remaining balance or balance in full shall be paid via cash or wire transfer.

Carl Akeley Chalkware / Resin Gorilla Face Cast

The Gorilla death mask was originally made by Carl Akeley on location in the Congo region of Africa in 1921. He affectionately named this particular primate "The Lone Male of Karisimbi". The mounted animal is still on exhibit in the African Hall at the American Museum of Natural History.
