Gilbert Rhode For Herman Miller Prewar Server

Lot # 502 (Sale Order: 3 of 591)      

Gilbert Rohde, 1894-1944. Born in NYC, Rohde produced hundreds of designs for furniture, lighting, and clocks along with lecturing, writing, and teaching. Some of his legendary achievements were his designs for Herman Miller. Exceptionally designed off white patterns with 4 small serving drawers with round white wood knobs. Over 4 cupboard doors each with spin top brass pulls. Left side opens to 4 interior drawers, the middle opens to another 4 interior drawers, and the right side opens to a single shelf. Raised on a rectangular button riveted base. Measures 34.5"H x 74"W x 18"D. Herman Miller label inside drawer.
