Apollo 11 Lunar Module Star Chart, TD+2

An 8-1/4" diameter Apollo 11 Lunar Module TD+2 post-landing star chart consisting of a black star disc below and a semi-transparent rotating disc above. The circular rings on the outer disc signify what stars would be seen through the Optical Telescope at certain times during the stay on the moon. Star charts like this were used on every lunar landing mission to orient the LM just prior to liftoff. This star chart is for a launch date of July 16, 1969 (the Apollo 11 actual launch date) and for use on the lunar surface on July 20, and was to be used in case the Lunar Module had to leave the moon's surface immediately after landing - with 2 minutes (TD+2). Each Lunar Module carried two similar star charts - this one for an immediate liftoff, and another for liftoff after the stars had precessed across the sky during their stay on the moon. This star chart was used in the Lunar Module Simulator and was no doubt handled by Armstrong and Aldrin during their training. Great condition and extremely uncommon.

Apollo 11 Lunar Module Model On Wooden Base

A vintage Apollo 11 solid pewter Lunar Module mounted on a nice wooden base. The LM itself is 3" at its base and almost 3" high and the wooden base measures 5" square by almost 2" high. A plaque is attached to the base with Neil Armstrong's first words on the moon. The model weighs almost 2 pounds and is in excellent condition. Made by The Collector's Case in Rhode Island. Very attractive and very uncommon.

A huge Apollo 11 beta cloth patch measuring almost 2 feet square (20"x 21") and bearing a 10" diameter color mission emblem. Nice color registration on the emblem - better than you see with most. There are some bends in the cloth that can no doubt be ironed out, but overall great shape. These large beta cloth patches are rare. Estimated Value: $200 - $300

An original 8"x 10½" Views From The CM And LM During The Flight of Apollo 12 booklet dated October 17, 1969 (1 month before launch). It contains 297 pages, most of which are exact depictions, in the form of illustrations, showing what the Apollo 12 astronauts will see out their windows at any time during the mission. There are 12 main sections and some of the section headings include Discussion of Data, Mission Geometry, Views From CSM During Translunar Phase, Views From CSM and LM During Lunar Orbit Phase, Views From CSM During Transearth Phase, Views From CM During Entry Phase, Views Through Scanning Telescope, etc. Nice condition and quite uncommon. The consignor's name has been covered over for the photo at his request.

Apollo 12 LM Contingency Checklist

A vintage 3-ringed 6"x 8" Apollo 12 LM Contingency Checklist for LM-6 dated JOctober 1969 on each of the pages. It contains about 10-12 sections with about 30 heavy paper stock two-sided pages (60 total pages) of LM contingency checklists and procedures. Little or no annotations inside. Some of the tabbed sections are Docked DPS/APS, Loss of Comm, Staged and Unstaged Power Down List, Emergency Power Down, Contingency EVT/IVT and many more. This checklist was used by the Apollo 12 crew during training for the mission, and was the designated copy to be used in the Crew Quarters (A "Q" on the cover). This checklist details, in set procedures, what to do in all cases of an emergency in the Lunar Module. Manuals such as this are quite rare and are the exact types flown with the astronauts on the missions. Nice condition.

Apollo 12 LM Lunar Orbit Star Chart

An 8"x 16" Apollo 12 flexible plastic LM Lunar Orbit Star Chart used for assistance in lunar orbit guidance and navigation in the Lunar Module. The chart shows the sun and planets in color to differentiate them from the background, and important navigational stars are numbered, highlighted and oversized. The track of the Apollo 12 CSM across the star field is also shown in color. The lunar star chart reads at the bottom "LM Lunar Orbit Star Chart, November 14, 1969 Launch" which was the launch date of Apollo 12. This Lunar Orbit Star Chart was used in training by the crew. There is waviness in the plastic from inadequate storage or from use, but with no rips or tears. There is also some loss of emulsion on the right side from handling. Very uncommon for any mission.

Apollo 12 Lunar Module Timeline Book

An 8½"x 10½" Apollo 12 LM Timeline Book dated November 3, 1969 (11 days before launch) and consisting of 10 heavy two-sided pages (20 total pages) of timelines, procedures, rendezvous plots, switch positions, etc. The Timeline Books were the books most heavily used during training by all the Apollo Lunar Module Pilots. This one was no doubt at some point used by Alan Bean in the Simulator, and in fact, this is the Simulator copy and then the Crew Quarters copy. Used condition from training and the light green back cover is missing. These were not commercially available, but were made in very limited numbers - only a handful. Rare.

Apollo 12 Lunar Module Activation Checklist

A vintage 6"x 8" Apollo 12 Activation Checklist training manual for the Lunar Module dated October 1969 that was used by the Apollo 12 astronauts in the Lunar Module Simulator at KSC. Overall good condition with the tabs being worn from use. The checklist consists of about 37 pages of which most are two-sided making the total pages about 65. There are about 20 tabbed sections of procedures and LM switch positions for complete CSM to LM transfer and Lunar Module activation. Tabbed sections include IVT to LM, Comm Activation, PDI Day, Drogue & Probe, Landing Gear Deploy, Prep To Undock, and many more. An extremely rare checklist and a significant piece of Apollo history.

Apollo 12 Lunar Module Malfunction Procedures Manual

An original 8½"x 11" Apollo 12 Lunar Module Malfunction Procedures manual mostly dating from October 1969. It contains 14 sections with about 35-40 total page sides of LM malfunction procedures from the AOH. Sections include G&C Displays, AGS, RCS, Comm, Heaters, Camera, etc. Used in training by the Apollo 12 astronauts, and this particular copy was kept in the Crew Quarters at KSC for after-hours reference. Nice condition. Manuals such as these were not commercially available, and were made in very limited numbers. Rare for sure.

Also included is an Apollo 12 Flight Plan Revision A booklet with about 50+ pages of information and foldouts. Good shape.

Two 8"x 10½" Apollo 12 EVA 1 Prep & Post heavy cue card checklists taped together to swing open forming one long checklist. One side is for EVA 1 PREP and on the back is the checklist for POST EVA 1. The cards are dated 25 Oct 1969 and 31 Oct 1969, which is about 2 weeks before the launch, so these are the latest versions of the EVA 1 checklist. These cue card checklists were used in training, no doubt by Conrad and Bean, and are the exact same type of cards carried in the LM and used by the Apollo 12 astronauts on the lunar surface. Both cards are in excellent condition. Extremely rare.
