This 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun was manufactured during the first half of the 20th century. The shotgun has a bead front sight, leather sling, checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber factory buttplate. Matching serial number on barrel, receiver ring and receiver. The left side of the receiver is marked "AUTOMAT/ SYSTEM SJOGREN / PATENT" and the right side is marked "HAANDVAABENVAERKSTEDERNE KJOBENHAVN". Nitro proofed barrel. Length of pull is 14 1/2".

Engraved Merkel Brothers Double Barrel Over/ Under Box Lock Hammerless Shotgun

Matte vent rib barrel with single ivory bead sight, choked full and modified (top barrel fitted with tube), 2 3/4 inch chambers and auto ejectors. Casehardened scalloped box lock action with cross bolt, cocking indicators, double triggers and tang safety. The action is engraved with fine scroll patterns and relief game scenes, the blacksmith symbol on the underside, and a pheasant on the right and a pointer with game birds on the left. Screw heads are engraved and the forearm latch assembly is casehardened and engraved with simple designs. Checkered pistol grip stock with 3-piece forearm, sling swivels, shadow-line cheekpiece, raised comb and Terminator-brand recoil pad. Length of pull is 15", 1 1/2" drop at comb, 1 3/4" at heel.

Produced in Suhl. Silver bead front and folding notch rear sight with silver triangle inlay. The top barrel has P.R. Wittener Steel markings on either side of the breech, Nitro proof on the left side, and a pair of claw bases added to the rib, cutting through the address. Border engraved breech, with deep scroll and checkerboard engraving on the frame, trigger guard and break lever, with a scene of two hunting dogs in the woods on the left side of the receiver and two deer and a duck in a lakeside scene on the reverse. Equipped with a tang safety, cocking indicator pins, and double trigger with single set front trigger. Checkered pistol grip stock, with Schnabel tip forearm, shadow line cheekpiece, attractive tiger stripe grain on the buttstock, sling swivels and a basket weave pattern horn buttplate. Length of pull is 13 3/4".

Extra full chokes, with 2 3/4" chambers and extractor. Near full coverage engraving on the frame, with a scene of stag in the woods on the left side, a dog pointing birds on the right, "SCHROT" and "KUGEL" marked selector switch on top with indicator pins, side mounted Greener safety, single set front trigger and horn trigger guard. Checkered round knob grip stock with engraved cartridge trap, sling swivels, raised shadow-line cheekpiece and a serrated horn buttplate.

Rare Engraved Allen & Thurber Double Barrel Percussion Rifle
Estimate: $2500 - $4500
Manufactured circa 1840s into the early 1860s with production estimated at a few hundred of all configurations, with the double rifles not mentioned. This example of an Allen & Thurber double barrel muzzle loading rifle has a round barrel with a solid rib marked "ALLEN & THURBER.", a blade front sight, and a buckhorn rear sight. (Note that this type of rifle is usually found with octagonal barrels). An exquisite floral scroll engraving on a punch dot background is featured on the frame, hammers, forearm hardware, breech, Swiss style buttplate, oval buttstock overlay, and double spur trigger guard, with the scroll pattern extended to the patch box. The trigger guard also has fine checkering on the rear spur. Nicely figured checkered forearm and straight grip stock and adjustable triggers. While only a few hundred of this type of Allen rifle was produced, examples have been encountered with many variations and varying degrees of decoration. According to the consignor's notes, this rifle with the aforementioned characteristics was the only one known to the late firearms expert and author Frank Sellers.

The forearm and stock are both excellent with a small chip missing near the rear of the trigger guard and some minor dings and pressure marks. Overall the checkering remains crisp. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured in France from 1881 to 1979, with a single bead sight on a solid rib marked "MADE IN FRANCE". Barrels featuring 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked modified/improved modified with extractor. An extensive rosette and scroll engraving is featured on the sliding breech action with action lever marked "DARNE". The barrel flats are marked "DARNE TYPE 10". The barrels and trigger guard are blue and the frame and sliding action casehardened. the scrollwork extended to the trigger guard with the initials "DB" in the center. Double triggers, with left side of action having the safety. Checkered forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with serrated factory buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4".

The barrels retain 98% original blue finish with some minor wear on the muzzles, a dent on the right side barrel about 7 1/4" from the muzzle and a few scattered minor scratches and dings. The trigger guard retains 99% original finish with some edge wear. The action retains approximately 80% of the original bright case colors with a smooth gray in some areas. The frame retains virtually all of the bright case colors. The wood is very good with a few minor dings and dents on the forearm, a few minor handling marks and a few minor nicks in the otherwise crisp checkering. The engraving remains crisp. The action is fine.

GREENER , ST MARY'S WORKS BIRMINGHAM" and each lock is marked "W.W. GREENER". Brown barrels, blue trigger guard and break lever with casehardened frame, locks and hammers. The frame, locks, trigger guard and hammers feature light floral scroll engraving. The break lever is mounted on the underside of he frame and extends up under the hammer on the right side. Mounted with custom checkered, wedge secured splinter forearm and straight grip stock with a red rubber recoil pad and silver initial oval. With data card from a previous owner.

The wood is excellent with minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically excellent.

Each barrel side at the rear is gold inlaid "STAATLICHGEPRUFT MIT RAUCHSCHWACHER LADUNG". The scalloped box lock action is lightly engraved with floral designs around the screws and a vine border. Horn trigger guard, cocking indicators, cross bolt, tang mounted automatic safety and mounted with a splinter forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and serrated horn buttplate. The forearm, flats and wrist are carved with floral patterns with a matte background. Length of pull is 14"

A) Barrel has the one-line New York barrel address and the Ranger and Indian scene roll-stamped on the cylinder. The barrel and cylinder are blue, while the frame, hammer and loading rod are case colored. The trigger guard and grip straps are brass with two piece ivory grips with Colt medallions. The engraving is a floral scroll design and covers 90% of the barrel and receiver. A gold-inlaid wire borders both sides of the frame and "1 of 50" in gold is centered on the right side. The front portion of the trigger guard is stamped "SET No 8". This gun set is complete with wooden case with wine-colored interior, two powder flasks, two bullet molds, one nipple wrench, and two empty cap tins. The lid of the case has a plaque that reads "COLT NAVY - COLT DRAGOON/ 1 OF 50/ SPECIAL EDITION".

This limited edition of 50 Colt Single Action Army revolvers commemorates the 125th year of Wells Fargo & Company. The top of the barrel has the standard one line address with "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" on the left side as well as commemorative Wells Fargo engravings. The cylinder is engraved with the bust of William Fargo, Henry Wells and a stagecoach. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt and to the rear a wedge of scroll engraving with a "1 of 50" banner. The right side is engraved with a western town. Fitted with smooth two piece walnut grips. Complete in a walnut presentation case with commemorative plaque on the lid and wine colored fitted velvet lining.

Two line, three patent dates on the left side of the smokeless powder frame followed by the Rampant Colt. The butt is inscribed "A. Howard Williams". Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with smooth, nicely figured walnut grips with gold NRA medallions.
