Condition:
Very good. Retaining approx. 90-95% finish with scattered wear and fine scratches. Grips excellent. Action crisp. Case with light wear and minor blemishes.

Serial no. 45985SA, .45 Colt cal., 12" barrel, blue and case-hardened finish, two-piece smooth walnut grips. 

Condition:
Fine to near excellent. Retaining approx. 98% factory blue and case-hardened colors. Hammer screw shows slight blurring to slot. Grips have been stripped of varnish and oil finished. Only the slightest dragline remains. Action is crisp, bore is excellent.

British American Indian Presentation Buck and Ball Percussion Gun

20 gauge/62 cal., 36-3/4" part-round/part-octagonal smoothbore barrel with molded bands and steel under-rib. Top flat marked: London. British proofs. Percussion lock marked: Morris. Barrel bolster, British presentation silver ornate oval wrist escutcheon with image of an American Indian, checkered walnut stock with pewter fore-end and brass furniture. Wooden ramrod. [See the book "The Northwest Gun by Hanson", pages 53-54, 82-83.]

Condition:
Good. Metal cleaned and showing scattered light pitting. Wood refinished and showing major period repair to wrist, dents and bruises. Ramrod a later replacement.

Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle

Serial no. 55388, .50 Express cal., 28" octagon barrel, blue and case-hardened finish, deluxe straight checkered walnut stock, with plain walnut fore-end.  Mfg'd in 1891.  (Barry Williams Collection)

Condition:
Very good, as re-bored and re-marked from .40-82 to .50 Express. Upon inquiries of records at Cody, it has been determined that the 28" barrel is correct, but originally shipped in lesser caliber, non-factory. Barrel and mag tube with 85% thinning and toning blue. Originally with case-hardened frame showing light traces of color, mostly toning to silvery brown. High cheekpiece stock appears factory special order. Action is crisp, bore is bright.

Serial no. 333622, .45 Colt cal., 4-3/4" barrel, blue and case-hardened finish, factory checkered hard rubber grips.  Mfg'd in 1916.  (Barry Williams Collection)

Condition:
Fair to good. Retaining approx. 20% blue to right side of barrel and protected area of ejector rod. Revolver suffers from poor storage to left side and some over-cleaning to right. Grips show moderate to heavy wear, small loss to left side of frame and triggerguard, and wrapped with electrical tape. Half-cock is broken. Mfg'd in the same year as Patton's famous gun and also the same configuration. Action is fairly tight, bore is fine.

*Engraved and Sporterized U.S. Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle, by R.F. Sedgley

Lot # 343 (Sale Order: 343 of 885)      

Serial no. 874 (under bolt), .30-06 cal., 24" barrel, blue finish, machine-turned bright bolt, custom made select black walnut checkered pistolgrip cheekpiece stock, finely hand-checkered and engraved steel butt trap, with compartment for cleaning kit and two additional cartridges; horn fore-end cap.  Top of barrel marked "R.F. Sedgley, Inc., Phila., PA. U.S.A.".  Receiver is panel engraved with banknote scrolls, as is blue body of Lyman peep sight, bolt head and upper tang.  Receiver ring with hand-applied matting.  Rear 1/3 of barrel is beautifully executed with similar scrolling.  Front sight ramp and area near show light treatment as well.  Custom made walnut stock shows crisp and tightly tolerance inletting of exceptional fit.  Triggerguard and magazine floorplate are nicely engraved with floral scroll patterns with game scene of leaping buck, doe and fawn in forested setting; steel pistolgrip cap is similarly adorned.  Gold ovoid engraved with initial "VLS".  Commerical leather sling is also marked "R.F. Sedgley, Inc., Phila., PA. U.S.A.". (Barry Williams Collection)

Condition:
Fine to near excellent. Retaining approx. 97% original lightly thinning blue. Stock with just light scuffs and scratches and minor flattening to checks. Horn end cap with minor chip to left forward edge. Action is crisp, bore is bright.

Extensively engraved in-the-white floorplate, triggerguard and pistolgrip cap of big game scenes in gold, with swivel scope mount. Marked on top of barrel: "AL BIESEN  GUNMAKER  SPOKANE", WN. Condition:
Very good to excellent overall. Retaining approx. 97% bright blue finish with muzzle wear and couple of slight loss spots along barrel. Stock having scattered light bruising and marring. Action is very crisp, bore is mirror bright. A beautiful early custom Model 70. Optics are clear.

Condition:
Very good to fine. Retaining approx. 92% original parkerized finish. Rearward portion of barrel in opt-rod opening is parkerized; forward to muzzle is blue. Gas cylinder is bright. Original furniture shows light general wear and possible mild refinishing, as cartouches are no longer visible. Upper handguard shows oil staining and small crack eminating from receiver ring to rear barrel band. Action is crisp, bore is bright.
