A very early Project Mercury Operation and Maintenance Telemetering System set of manuals, Volumes I and II from Bendix and Western Electric and with nice vinyl covers. They are both dated September 15, 1960, with Volume I being revised on April 1, 1961. Volume I consists of about 550 pages of photos, charts and information and Volume II, although thicker, contains less pages but has dozens of foldouts. Mercury-Redstone-3 (Shepard) Access Badge, Rare

A rare Mercury-Redstone 3 (MR-3) Operations access badge. MR-3 was Alan Shepard's flight and was the first US space flight. The number on the badge, 108, was the Eastern Test Range number for the MR-3 mission in May, 1961. Nice shape with its original plastic pocket sleeve and clip....more

Gordon Cooper 1963 California Senate Resolution

A State of California Senate Resolution honoring astronaut Gordon Cooper after his Mercury Faith 7 flight. The resolution is dated May 17, 1963 only two days after Cooper's MA-9 space flight. It is matted and framed and measures 18"x 24" overall. This was formerly a part of the Gordon Cooper personal collection. Excellent condition....more

It is dated October 15, 1971 with about 30 pages showing in detail how long each astronaut trained for each facet of his mission. For example, on the Apollo 10 Command Module Simulator, Stafford trained for 87 hours, Cernan for 74 hours and Young for 377 hours, while the Apollo 10 backups, Cooper, Eisele and Mitchell trained for a combined total of 363 hours.
