US model 1836 style flintlock military pistol, originally .54 caliber smoothbore flintlock, now converted to percussion with flat lockplate and no evidence of military...more inspections on wood. The metal surfaces show some light to slightly heavypitting and erosion. The heaviest areas of pitting on the right edge of barrel. Stocks are very good plus and show good edges, some small losses, and appear to have never been cartouched. The hammer shows light engraving and it is possible that this was an overrun and sold on a commercial basis. There is a significant crack in the forend from the front edge of the lock extending up to the barrel. Good to very good overall. Est: $600 - $1,200

The revolver remains in orig...moreinal good to very good condition with 10-20% original blue on barrel and cylinder drifting to patina with some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The etching on barrel is fully visible but very light. The cylinder shows good traces of blue in the flutes and backstrap and triggerguard show 40-50%thinning blue. Grips are very good and an excellent fit with just some edge wear. The markings are sharp, action working. Front sight is its full height. Scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. Bore is bright. The carbine remains in very good conditionshowing strong traces of blue and case hardening within its patina finish. Perhaps as much as 10-20%. There is some scattered erosion and light to moderate pitting> The lock markings are good and sharp, the stock is very good with a sharpcartouche that is fully visible with some minor scratches, dings, losses at the toe from aging. The metal surfaces show an arsenal bright type finish wit...moreh some traces of case hardening on lock and hammer. There is somescattered light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting, some slightly heavier pitting on the buttstock. The good and would have been very good except for a couple of losses along the ramrod channel. There are three cartouches visible onleft side of stock including Allin’s cartouche ESA. The pistol measures 17-1/2” overall with 11-3/4” barrel of approx. .60 caliber smoo...moreth bore, full stocked to the muzzle, showing key plate inlaidinto butt for shoulder stock. The metal surfaces are good to very good with traces of original blue and case hardened finish, scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. There is a loss of wood along one edge of the forend which extends approx.1-1/2” by 2mm width. The horn forend cap is missing, the stock is nicely carved and otherwise very good.
