SALE OF FIREARMS: Antique Firearms: If you purchase an antique firearm, we will mail this firearm to your desired address once we obtain a copy of your drivers license. This allows Belcher McPherson Auction Co. to verify the age of the individual buying the gun. Curio & Relic License Holders: If you purchase a gun that is over 50 years of age, we will mail to the buyer(s) if we obtain a copy of your C&R license. All other gun transfers: Belcher McPherson Auction Co. will mail all post 1898 guns to purchasers if we obtain a copy of your C&R license (if applicable), your FFL license (if you have one) or obtain a copy of an FFL license holder in your area that will handle the transfer for you. Licenses can be mailed, faxed or emailed to our location. Guns will be shipped within 4 days of receipt of these licenses. Guns can be picked up at our location within 10 business days of the auction. If you pick up the gun and are from out of state we will have to charge Michigan Sales Tax unless you provide a copy of your sales tax license. If the gun is an antique, we will take a copy of your driver’s license, if the gun is a C&R and you have a C&R license we will need a copy of your license. If you have an FFL, we will exchange licenses. Michigan Residents with a Concealed Pistol License will be exempt from NICS background checks; however, ATF Form 4473 still needs to be completed. NICS background checks will be performed on all other individuals at our place of licensure at 1106 S. Kalamazoo, Marshall, Michigan. Please call before arrival to arrange an appointment. NOTE: ATF rules indicate that buyers may be put on delay for up to 3 days. BIDDING INCREMENTS: Just so it is clear to on-line bidders on how we handle internet bids, you may be the high bidder on a gun at $375.00 but are willing to go to $400.00 as your top bid prior to the actual live auction. We treat on-line bidders as though you are sitting in the crowd and will start the bidding at $375 (unless someone in the live audience starts the bidding higher). At this point if someone in the live audience or on-line bids $400.00, your potential high bid of $400.00 has been trumped or beat and you will not get the gun. SHIPPING: The shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer and will be charged to the credit card you have on file with Proxibid. Shipping expenses will vary depending upon the company used to ship the item, size of the package and insurance if required by the buyer. USPS is preferred; however, we will ship using the company of your choice if possible. Shipping charges will be in addition to the actual sales price and will be billed separately to your credit card on file. In most instances, single handguns can be shipped for the actual cost of shipping plus up to $5.00 and single long guns the actual cost of shipping plus up to $10.00 depending upon the amount of packing materials used.
