Great Northern Railway GNRY Oil Can, original old

Great Northern Rail Road oil can. This would be a wonderful addition to any train collection. Galvanized steal oil can was used and is in good condition with no rust, there is a dent on the base below the spout. Measures 8" to the rim, 11" from base to top of spout,. 6 " across bottom.
Set of Posters and Documents for World War 2 V-Mail

When we opened up the original envelope in which these were in, we were amazed. We very rarely come across such a "complete" set of promotional materials, all to support the friendly communication between friends and family in the U.S. with soldiers overseas. As seen in the photographs, this lot comes with one folded half sheet poster, one smaller poster on card stock, one small thin horizontal all-type banner, and cover letter from the war office and the original envelope.
Miniature Coors Golden Beer Bottles Salt and Pepper Shakers

This lot is for two pairs of Coors Golden Beer yellow ceramic salt and pepper shakers. There is some overall wear to them but the corks are in place. They are 4 1/8 x 1 3/8 in size shakers. These are often referred to as Coors ware and were made by the Coors Porcelain Company of Golden, Colorado, a company founded with the help of the Coors Brewing Company after world war one.
Full set of 6 Gil Elvgrin Pin-Ups Circa 1941 with Original Envelope and Greeting

This amazing lot features a grouping of 6 of Gil Elvgrin's classic PIn-Up characters, judging from the fashion, from around 1941. It's interesting to find these unattached to calendars nor advertisements. In one there is a period airplane. This lot appears to be a gift item, because there is an added piece of stationary in which a greeting is printed. The size on the prints is 6 7/8" x 4 7/8" inches. A publisher's insignia on the envelope says "STACO". And "Litho in the USA is printed on the illustrations.
Two Mexican Gold Coins

This lot is for two Mexican gold coins, you get both for one price. The two-peso gold coin contains approximately .0482% of an ounce of gold and measures 13 mm in diameter. The two and a half peso gold coin contains .0602% of an ounce of gold and is about 16 mm in diameter. Together, the two coins contain over 1/10 of an ounce of pure gold. We strive to take the most accurate photos of our items because we believe grading is very subjective. That is why we leave the final determination of the condition and grade of the coins to you, we do not attempt to grade or clean coins; these coins are exactly as we received them.
Tonka Crane Truck

Tonka Crane Truck from the 70's. I had one of these when I was a kid. Crane articulates on truck frame. Metal & plastic construction. orange and black in color. All wheels and gears move freely. Has # B 811007 marked on bottom of crane. String and hook are missing. Measures 11 1/2" long, 4 1/4" wide, 10 1/2" tall.
Jantzen 5 Year Service Pin 10K Gold

This is a five year 10K gold service pin from Jantzen knitting mills of Portland, Oregon. This features the famous diving swimsuit girl logo they used for years on both there clothing line and amusement park. Size is approximate 1/2" with a weight of 2 grams. It is marked on the back 10K and is not gold filled but solid 10K gold.
Clyde Beatty Cole Brothers Vintage 50's Circus Poster with Classic Tiger Image

This late 50's circus poster has perhaps the most iconic circus tiger as its main point of focus. An image that promises an exciting show. At this time in history, this circus company rivaled any other. The artist is of note, Mr. Roland Butler (see other circus poster by the same artist in this auction). He had been a constant with this circus. The printing is bold and dynamic, with a half-tone style of printing in the body of the tiger, the rest of the image seems to be of a bright continuous-tone like that of silk-screen printing. The paper is fresh and clean; the condition of this is excellent with some rippling in the paper. It is shrink-wrapped; if you pick up this item in person you may have it shrink-wrapped, ready to hang, if shipped, the item will be rolled and placed within a shipping tube. Size: 21" x 28".
Chicago World's Fair Arial View Poster

This very rare item would have been sold as a keepsake souvenir to the lucky visitors of the original Chicago World's Fair of 1933. It is in truly remarkable condition considering it's age and rarity. There is a Zepplin (Blimp) in the sky above. There are some little crease marks along the edges and some light smudges in the borders. Size: 14 5/8 x 25 inches. Artist/Printer/Publisher: Wm F. Schuessler, Neely Printing Company.
Electric Now Spinner Gambling Game

This electric spinner was used in bars to do light gambling while drinking. Unit plugs in and lights up. It randomly spins and lands on a colored numbered space. This would be a great addition to a home bar. On the front the word "Now" is printed. Number 1 to 12 are printed around the dial and colors of spaces are red, blue and white. Measure 13" x 15".
Vintage Seltzer Bottle

This vintage seltzer bottle is in great shape. All parts are intact. There is a mesh cover that protects the bottle. Made in Czechoslovakia is imprinted on the bottom. The company that manufactured this bottle was the Sparklets Company, New York. This is printed the metal top piece.
Sam and Dave, James Cotton Original Vintage Rock and Roll Poster by Bonnie MacLean for Bill Graham

A great Rock and Roll poster for Sam and Dave and James Cotton, etc. at the Filmore West in San Francisco. This poster is of particular interest to those of us from the Pacific Northwest in that the artist incorporated Haida Indian (Native American) designs into the artwork (all while still remaining 60's psychedelic). The condition is good, there are however some pin holes in the corners and some creasing at the lower left. Size: 14 x 21 inches.
Wurzburger Hofbrau Pre-Prohibition Stoneware Mug, Rochester, New York

Here is a fantastic Mettlach mug advertising Wurzburger, Hofbrau, August Luchow, New York with there logo of a crown inside a six sided star. The stein was made by and is marked "Villeroy & Boch, Mettlach". Also marked "Made in Germany" and the importer HUSMANN 4 FOURTH AVE NEW YORK inside an oval. Impressed in the bottom as well is "1909" (year?) and the numbers "01" and "35". Near the top next to the handle is an impressed mark "4/10 L" (.4 liters). This mug is in very good condition with no cracks, damage or repairs, displays well. Size is 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" at the base.

G. M. Mittnacht Eagle Safes Civil War Token New York

This is a store card token from 1863 for G.M. Mittnacht Eagle Safes 23 Spring Street New York. Civil War tokens are coins or tokens that were privately minted and distributed in the United States between 1861 and 1864 due to a shortage of government issued coins. They were used mainly in the Northeast and Midwest. Store card tokens typically have one or both sides display the name and or location of a privately owned business. Size is 20 mm and is exactly as received and as always we will leave the grading up to you!
Meier & Frank Company Tin Promotional Toy Delivery Truck

This lot is for a nice little tin toy sedan delivery truck from the '40's or '50's. It was most likely a store promotional piece from Meier & Frank Company. The gold color script lettering looks real nice and is different then most of these toys in that it listed both Portland and Salem on the doors. This toy also is not marked Japan on the bottom like most examples of this toy. This is a nicely detailed truck with both front and rear bumpers and wheels intact. It is in played-with vintage condition with a dent in the bottom, it still rolls along great. Size is about 4 1/2" long x 1 3/4" wide x 1 1/2" high.
Model Dairy 1932 Picture Caledar

This is an aluminum calendar with a photo of a little boy with a calf and a bottle of milk. It is advertising Model Creamery Inc in Portland, Oregon. It has a complete and unused original 1932 pad. The calendar top with pad is 7" x 10". The front couple pages on the pad have some discoloring and small pinholes mentioned for accuracy and do not distract from this great piece from a hard to find Portland dairy
Cast Iron Schmidt's Beer Statue

Schmidt's Beer statue is made of cast iron. Features a waiter holding two mugs of beer. There is a half barrel behind the waiter that a cup can sit in. On the bottom it reads Coronet Advertising Prod. This is in excellent condition. Measures 13" x 4".
Vintage Clyde Beatty and Cole Brothers Circus Poster for Miami, circa 1938
Lot # 19 (Sale Order: 20 of 311)
This Vintage Poster is from the last days of grand old circuses. When entire towns would congregate to the circus grounds to behold the spectacles. This item has the old style of lithographic printing, a style that would have change to offset-printing in the 50's. This item is in great condition, there is the evidence of tape stains in the upper corners and there are a couple areas of light creasing. The original printing had been somewhat rough-hewn, seen in the texture and colors in the printing, slight printing "glitches" in the blue sky add to the old-style quality this unique old item. And amazingly the original snipe is still attached to the bottom, this would have changed according to the city in which the circus performed. Those interested in historic Miami, might find this interesting. It will be shipped rolled, or if picked-up, the winning bidder may have it shrink-wrapped. Mickey Mouse and Pluto with Chip and Dale, Walt Disney Cells for Four Color Print Process

This lot is somewhat of a mystery to us. It is a printer's proof of sorts for offset printing for the Disney company, possibly for the December issue of Mickey Mouse Magazine or for a greeting card or calendar. It is the four layers on acetate, cyan, magenta, yellow and black, used for printing, overlapping to create full color. The colors are somewhat faded with age.
Vintage Black Parker 51 Fountain Pen

The Parker 51 went into production in 1941, and remained a best-seller for decades thereafter. The majority of examples in circulation, however, date from the 1950's. Perhaps no other fountain pen has been so unanimously acclaimed as a classic. Nor is it merely a triumph of styling, though it has a place in the Museum of Modern Art's design collection, and Lazlo Moholy-Nagy found it worthy of praise, for it is also one of the most robust and practical writing instruments ever made. This lot is black with a stainless steel cap.
Johnny Cash Carousel Ballroom Vintage Rock and Roll Poster, 1968

This rare old rock and roll poster seems to cross-over various areas of collectability, it has a rock and roll theme mixed with the hard hitting styles of Johnny Cash's Country and Western vibes. The style of illustration is like that of early R. Crumb's work with a hint of 60's psychedelic by artist Steve Catron from 1968. Harder to find than the more-typical Bill Graham posters. A real keeper. Size: 11 x 14 inches. In really great condition, very slight aging to the paper, and very faint smudges, but all in all, very desirable.
Hamm's Beer Mascot Lapel Pins

This is an unopened one pound coffee can for Hills Bros. Red Can Brand Coffee from San Francisco, California. This is a key wind can and has the key attached to the top lid. There is a copyright date on the can of 1939. Size is 5" x 3 5/8". The can has a few scuff, scratches and case dings, looks great!
