1964 Chevrolet Nova

Lot # 120 (Sale Order: 17 of 110)

Sedan Cruiser. Low Reserve. Great deal! Chevy II 4-Door VIN: 40469W110841 Mileage: 99,030 Only 18 months after giving designers the green light, GM produced and presented the first Chevy II (soon to be known as the Chevrolet Nova). The first production of the Chevy II rolled off the Willow Run, Michigan assembly line in August 1961, and the new GM Chevy was introduced not long after in the following month. As one can see by the simple lines and lack of cosmetic flair, the Chevrolet Nova was never envisioned to be a revolutionary automotive concept. Instead, GM produced the car with the intention of creating a car that offered “maximum functionalism and thrift”. The first generation of the Chevrolet II (Nova) was produced from 1962-1965 and was offered in 5 body styles: 2-Door Sedan, 2-Door Hardtop, 2-Door Convertible (only available from ‘62-’63), 4-Door Sedan and 4-Door Station Wagon. At the beginning of the first generation, the Nova included a Chevrolet 153 4-cylinder engine and a new third generation 194cu in Chevrolet straigt-6 engine. Our 1964 Chevrolet Nova is finished in a deep burgundy and features its original straight-6 230 cu in engine and 2-Speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Though extremely solid underneath, there is a rusty reaction under the right rear trunk area causing the paint to lift. This is likely due to poor prep on the paint. There is also some rust on the door bottoms. Purchase of the vehicle will include replacement doors, as well as other parts to go with the car. It features kickin’ tunes. The car runs excellently and has been driven hundreds of miles in the last few weeks. We also have correct front seats that will need upholstery, as well as the original style rear springs to replace the modified ones that are currently on the car. This is a great runner and driver that would be an easy project. A desirable year, this Nova Chevy II can be fun for the whole family. You can modify it as a resto-mod or make it stock again. It gets great gas mileage and turns heads wherever it goes.

1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Recreation

Lot # 122 (Sale Order: 19 of 110)

1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

Lot # 123 (Sale Order: 20 of 110)

New Top. Superb Mechanicals. Professional Alfa Mechanic Owned. Stainless Bumpers. Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo began production of the iconic roadster “Spider” series in 1966. This two-door design classic was remained in production for nearly three decades, with little aesthetic and mechanical changes. The first three Spider series were assembled by Pininfarina in Grugliasco, and the fourth series in San Giorgio Canavese. During the many decades of production, Alfa Romeo also created a 2.3 liter single-seater racing version of the Spider (the Alfa Romeo 8C) which was driven to victory at the Targa Florio race in Sicily in 1931 and 1932. The last Spider was produced in April 1993. In 1970 Alfa Romeo released the Series 2 Spider, which was produced until 1983. The Series 2 featured the first significant changes aesthetically as well as mechanically. During the first year of production for the Series 2 Spider, Alfa Romeo introduced a new and more conventional cut-off tail called the “Kamm Tail”. Numerous other small changes included a slightly different grille, new door handles, top-hinged pedals and an improved interior trim. Under the hood, the Series 2 Spider Veloce got a new and improved 1962 cc 132 HP engine, and consequently the name was changed from 1750 Spider Veloce to 2000 Spider Veloce. Our 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce is a restored and lovingly maintained survivor. The car runs well with its original engine, and shows a beautiful, and original, ivory exterior. Mechanically, this Spider Veloce has a strong running, non-smoking engine that shifts with ease. The factory original tonneau cover, jack and tool roll are included with the car. Recent maintenance of the vehicle includes a new top, seat covers, exterior side mirrors, console shift boot and after-market Alfa Romeo floor carpets. Other updates are new inner & outer shift boots, U-joints, water pump, wiper blades and trailing arm bushing. The water pump and starter were also recently replaced, and the Spider boasts a fresh alignment and front and rear brake pads. The previous owner was a factory trained Alfa mechanic. There is some floor rust as shown in the photographs. Trunk/spare area has minor pinholes. Overall, very clean stainless bumpers. Mileage assumed to be actual.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12

Lot # 125 (Sale Order: 22 of 110)

The DeLorean DMC-12 was the only model every produced by the DeLorean Motor Company. This sports car was manufactured by John DeLorean from 1981 to 1982, and by the end of their production in December 1982, about 9,200 DMC-12s were produced. The first prototype appeared in October of 1976, and production official began in 1981 in Dunmurry, Northern Ireland. DMC-12s were a new and exciting design in the automotive world. They featured several unusual and distinctive features such as gull-wing doors, un-painted stainless steel body panels, and a rear-mounted motor. With the exception of the three DeLoreans that were plated in 24-karat gold, all DMC-12s left the factory paneled in brushed SS304 stainless steel and left either uncovered by paint or clear-coated. Each of these stainless steel panels were fixed to an unique, fiberglass monocoque underbody. This underbody was affixed to a double-Y frame chassis, derived from the Lotus Esprit platform. Despite all of these distinctive aspects of the DMC, perhaps the most renown feature is the Delorean’s gull-wing doors. All DMC-12s were produced with cryogenically preset torsion bars and gas-charged struts in order to support these heavy and large doors. Also featured in the DMC-12 were Peugeot Renault Volvo (PRV) 2.85 liter V6 engines, largely influenced by the Lotus Esprit, as well as four-wheel independent suspension, coil springs, and telescopic shock absorbers. Steering was rack and pinion, allowing a tight turning radius, and was paired with power-assisted disc brakes on all wheels. This 80’s classic was sold to its first owner in December of 1981 by John Hine Pontiac. It was purchased by its second, and current owner, in 1985. Since its purchase by senior plant engineer Marshall Zaun of DeLorean Motors, the car has been lovingly maintained, with minimal changes. The owners of the car stated that their goal while owning this DeLorean was to keep it in exceptional mechanical shape, while also maintaining the integrity and distinctiveness of the DMC-12. Some of the meticulous care for this car included replacing the A/C fan, putting in new leather on the dash, and replacing the old tires. Besides these few changes and other basic maintenance procedures, the car is original throughout. The rims, upholstery, carpeting, headliner are all original 1981 DeLorean factory features. The car also features the original 6-cyliner, 174 cu. in engine and 5-speed transmission. Overall, this example of the famed DeLorean DMC-12 is remarkable. The panel fit is tight. The stainless paneling is beautiful and the interior is in good shape, showing only slight aging and wear, typical of a car being used and driven over several decades. This DeLorean shows less than consistent use by its two previous owners, as it has very low original miles. It also exhibits the beauty of a vehicle that is driven and maintained as it was designed. As only 6,500 DeLorean Motor cars are believed to still exist, this would be an magnificent car to add to any collection. Mileage assumed to be actual.
