Grateful Dead Fax Cover Sheet & Message Stationary

This is the actual original Fax Cover Sheet and message stationary from the Grateful Dead office in San Rafael that was used, basically forever (since faxes came into vogue anyway). Photo of an obviously amused Fidel Castro posing with Grateful Dead Dire Wolf embroidery on a pair of GDM shorts presented to him by a Doctor affiliated with "Doctor's Without Borders". This is the actual letter that was sent to the office by Blair in Vermont, the fan responsible for this historic event. Description on back. Photo is printed on 8 1/2" x 11" paper. The original 1983 John Werner double exposure photo of the Grateful Dead playing at Oakland Coliseum color photograph that hung over the fireplace at the Grateful Dead office in San Rafael for decades. This photograph was the most prominent artwork displayed in the office and comes with a small engraved brass plaque attached to the frame commemorating the event. Dimensions: Framed 34.75" X 24.75". Grateful Dead Camp Randall Field House Poster 1971
Lot # 331 (Sale Order: 329 of 348)
An exceptionally rare poster for a "Grateful Dead" concert held on March 14, 1971 at the Camp Randall Field House, Madison, Wisconsin. Black and white pen and ink drawing artwork featuring Jerry Garcia with a mandala design around him sponsored by the Wisconsin Students Association. We all know how overplayed the word 'rare' is when associated with posters, so to give you an example of how carefully we use it, this is one of only two known examples of this poster and the 'other' example is displayed on the http://www.wisconsinhistory.org website archive. This is a Zildjian cymbal Mickey Hart cracked at a Shoreline show in 1996 and gave to the 9 year old son of a long time GDP office employee. It is clearly cracked and marked as such and signed by Ramrod authorizing them to leave the stage area with it in hand without being…stopped. There is no question about this one and it would look cool on a wall somewhere people could see it. Estimate: $400-500

What you see here is the result… and I am happy to report that they worked like a charm and he had more dates than anyone in his high school (we think because of these Pearl drums!). The kid wants what the kids wants to part with his lifetime coolest object on Earth so this is a no-reserve winner take all auction that starts at $10,000 – so go for it.
All of us older GDF members have seen what others have legitimately pieced and patched together to make what they could semi-legitimately call a “real Mickey Hart drum set”- and have sat astonished at what these things sold for at auction. To the best of our collective extensive knowledge this is the first truly complete real-deal got it all at the same time and place for the ultimate birthday present of a lifetime. And they’re Pearl’s… and come with the following:

This is no friend of a friend of a friend’s cousin who knew so and so deal here folks. Grateful Dead Family owned from day one and solid easy as pie one owner since 9 years old provenance.
