Mickey Hart’s ‘road used’ Pearl Drum Kit w/Special Custom Curved Tom Rack & ADD-ON ITEMS for CHARITY

Lot # 343 (Sale Order: 341 of 348)

SPECIAL ADD-ON VIP BASKET OF SIGNED MICKEY HART ITEMS OFFERED WITH THIS DRUM KIT! Keep reading below for all the details!

Imagine that you are 9 years old and a few of your friends at school want to start a band and you are an aspiring drummer influenced by Mickey Hart’s style and power, and you want to join your buddies. Then imagine that your Mom was one of the original GDP ‘office girls’ and you told her that you needed a drum kit. What you see here is the result… and I am happy to report that they worked like a charm and he had more dates than anyone in his high school (we think because of these Pearl drums!). The kid wants what the kids wants to part with his lifetime coolest object on Earth so this is a no-reserve winner take all auction that starts at $10,000 – so go for it.

All of us older GDF members have seen what others have legitimately pieced and patched together to make what they could semi-legitimately call a “real Mickey Hart drum set”- and have sat astonished at what these things sold for at auction. To the best of our collective extensive knowledge this is the first truly complete real-deal got it all at the same time and place for the ultimate birthday present of a lifetime. And they’re Pearl’s… and come with the following:

1 Pearl blue sparkle bass drum – no pedal included or available

1 Blue sparkle floor tom

2 Blue sparkle tom’s

1 High hat with double cymbals

1 The cool custom curved adjustable tom rack for more

STOOL NOT INCLUDED – and was put there to keep people from touching it and is NOT a part of this lot but is a lot of its own somewhere.

So that’s the deal… which is, this is the real deal here with absolutely no questions as to where it came from and who has owned it since their 9th birthday and wants to open a second location to his booming restaurant business in Marin county. This is no friend of a friend of a friend’s cousin who knew so and so deal here folks. Grateful Dead Family owned from day one and solid easy as pie one owner since 9 years old provenance. Everyone in the family who has seen these drums over the years (and heard him pound away on them) agrees that Mickey went way over the top with this gift – and it really is the nicest one any of us have ever seen that we all knew were really real and used as a set. Parting with the bass kick just wasn’t happening so it’s not available and don’t even ask please. And they are Pearl’s man… and someone is going to walk away with these drums. There are no road cases and whoever ends up with these should either come pick them up in person – or else send road cases ahead for packing. Estimate: $40,000

BUT, WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

The lucky winner of the Pearl Drum Kit will have the option of purchasing a Drum Kit Add-On VIP Gift Basket for $5,000.00, which includes:

- A personal note to the auction winner signed and framed

- A signed photo of Mickey, framed, a complete sets of signed Calato drum sticks (Beginner Sticks, Mallets, Drum Brush)

- Signed copies of Mickey's books, (Planet Drum, Drumming At The Edge Of Magic, Songcatchers, Spirit Into Sound

- Signed copies Of Mickey's Cd's Collection (Planet Drum, Superorganism, Rolling Thunder, At The Edge).

EVERYTHING HERE WILL BE PERSONALIZED FOR THE AUCTION WINNER!

100% of the proceeds for this Add-On VIP Gift Basket will go to Mickey's charity, Hidden Wings!
