All of our gems are checked by a certified gemologist, and most have slight natural inclusions of some kind, verifying that they're real. These are nice, richly colored Amethyst. We're auctioning them off from a long time collector of fine stones. As you can see, this lot comes with the pictured appraisal. It's our opinion that the appraisal on this set of Amethyst is a bit high. We've included a snapshot from Gemval.com of the current market value for Amethyst. We've circled approximate price per carat. As you can see, for this color in Amethyst the approximate price per carat is around $40 per carat. These stones also have a few inclusions here and there, so our best guess is that this lot of Amethyst would average at right around $30 per carat.
