2003 Westfield Seiw 2.0 Litre

Lot # 301 (Sale Order: 1 of 89)

Westfield Sportscars are manufacturers of both factory built and kit versions of several two-seater, open top sportscars. Their main product line is a Lotus Seven inspired car which was originally designed by Colin Chapman with only the bare essentials for motoring in order to give the rawest and most exhilarating driving experience. Westfield has sold over 12000 cars world wide since 1983 and currently produce over 400 cars a year for driving enthusiasts the world over. Offered here is a 2003 Westfield SEiW with the Ford Pinto 2.0 litre engine and only four previous owners. It has the big valve head, FR33 fast road camshaft and with twin 40 DCOE Webers it produces around 130bhp. It has a Ford five speed gearbox and discs all round. The most recent work includes replacement of various gaskets to make it oil tight. The cambelt and tensioner have been replaced together with waterpump, thermostat and all the hoses. The electrical system has new plug leads, rebuilt alternator and starter motor by Lucas Coil. The suspension has been rebuilt and new brake pads fitted together with a fluid change. The speedometer reads just 11,000 miles. It has full weather equipment consisting of factory side screens and hood. Westfield wind deflectors and rear carbon wheel arches complete the look. It has a full MOT and genuine Westfield mats. Very little can beat the performance of these Westfileds and our example represents a fun package in great condition.

1998 Rover Mini Cooper

Lot # 302 (Sale Order: 2 of 89)

Designed as project ADO15 (Austin Drawing Office project number 15), the Mini came about because of a fuel shortage caused by the 1956 Suez Crisis. Petrol was once again rationed in the UK, sales of large cars slumped, the market for German bubble cars boomed. Leonard Lord, the somewhat autocratic head of BMC, reportedly detested these cars so much that he vowed to rid the streets of them and design a 'proper miniature car'. He laid down some basic design requirements: the car should be contained within a box that measured 10 × 4 × 4 ft (3 × 1.2 × 1.2 m); and the passenger accommodation should occupy 6 ft (1.8 m) of the 10 ft (3 m) length; and the engine, for reasons of cost, should be an existing unit. Issigonis, who had been working for Alvis, had been recruited back to BMC in 1955 and, with his skills in designing small cars, was a natural for the task. The team that designed the Mini was remarkably small: as well as Issigonis, there was Jack Daniels (who had worked with him on the Morris Minor), Chris Kingham (who had been with him at Alvis), two engineering students and four draughtsmen. Together, by October 1957, they had designed and built the original prototype, which was affectionately named "The Orange Box" because of its colour. Offered here is a 1998 Rover Mini Cooper with a 1275cc engine, finished in Tahiti Blue with the standard fitment Monaco trimmed Mini Cooper seats in a light stone beige. The car was delivered to its first owner in August ‘98, a Ms. Thomas of Thames Ditton, by London based Mini dealer The Chequered Flag. The service book is stamped by the supplying dealer and the London Mini Centre until 2006 at which time the car had covered 32,462 miles. Offered with an MoT until 29.8.15, the original book pack containing the owners handbook, service book and in-car entertainment manual, this little Mini Cooper now shows 35,450 miles on the odometer and is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.

1972 Fiat 500 F

Lot # 303 (Sale Order: 3 of 89)

The Fiat 500 was produced by Fiat S.p.A (Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino) between 1957 and 1975 with limited production of the Fiat 500 "Giardiniera "estate continuing until 1977. The car was designed by Dante Giacosa and, despite its diminutive size, the '500' proved to be an enormously practical and popular vehicle throughout Europe capturing the hearts and minds of the public until production ended and still enjoying enormous popularity even now. Almost, but not quite, the coveted "one lady owner from new", this little Fiat was built in right hand drive form for the New Zealand market and was sold by Olympic motors ltd, Fiat main dealers in 1972 to a Mrs. Holbrook. Her pride of ownership is evidenced by the fact that she carefully retained in her paperwork file the original guarantee of sale, the service book with the first three main dealer service stamps, her first insurance certificate, and Warrant of Fitness Certificates (N.Z. MOT's) showing the mileage of only 16,000 miles to 1995 when Mrs. Holbrook sold the car. The second keeper of this car was a Fiat motor dealer and he kept the car in remarkable original condition in his showroom as a time warp example and a nod to Fiat heritage. Finished in lovely Blu Scuro (Navy Blue) the car presents as you would expect from a lovingly maintained cherished vehicle with an odometer reading of just 16,534 believed-genuine miles. We are assured by the vendor that very little has been replaced during its life with all the glass, interior, floor mats, sunroof, and the spare wheel and tyre being original. The steering wheel cover fitted by the supplying dealer in 1972 is still in situ. All that was necessary to secure the most recent MOT was replacement headlamp bulbs. Upon arrival in the UK this ex-New Zealand car has had import taxes paid and been issued with a UK MOT certificate expiring March 2016. With NOVA submission completed this car is ready for registration in any EU country. We are told the car drives very well and is as pretty as a picture. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a low mileage example of the iconic Fiat 500....

1997 Renault Spider

Lot # 304 (Sale Order: 4 of 89)

The Renault Sport Spider, or project W94 as it was codenamed, debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995 and was launched the year after, when the Williams Renault F1 team was enjoying great success with it's Adrian Newey designed cars. Completely understandable, Renault's plan was clearly to capitalise on both this motor sport "moment in the Sunshine" with a multi national One Make Championship, and the sports car boom of the mid 90s, most visible in the number of Lotus Elise Mk.1s pouring out of the factory. Ultimately, although not as successful as they had hoped with only 1685 Sport Spiders being built, they did managed to create a fabulous little driver's car. Powered by the 150bhp,16v four cylinder engine first seen in the Renault Clio Williams, and latterly in the original Megane 16v Coupe, and given it's relatively light weight, the Sport Spider turned out to be a positive "Road Rocket" with 60 mph. coming up in 6.9 seconds on it's way to a maximum of 134mph. Take a seat behind the wheel and you instantly know that this car means business; quite simply it's more race car than road car. A single aluminium bar dominates the dashboard with only three dials set into a central pod. A speedometer was not part of the package and a rev counter, oil and water pressure gauges were all that were deemed necessary. To complete the sports car feel, there are body-hugging Recaro bucket seats, a leather trimmed steering wheel and adjustable pedals to enable the driver to achieve the absolute optimum driving position. The windows meanwhile, pivot up to open, which is arguably practical and certainly distinctive. The Renault Spider championships ran for several years as a support series to larger championships such as British Touring Cars and groomed many fine racing drivers, including the hard charging Jason Plato. Only 60 right hand drive models were manufactured during its short production run of 18 months, and this particular example has covered only 3,290 miles from new as detailed on the MoT certificate dated the 2nd April 2015, making it a rare and interesting proposition. Registered in the UK in 2013 the V5c shows no former keepers, however the car was registered in Ireland in 1997 and the SIMI Vehicle Data Check in the accompanying history file shows 2 keepers. This file also contains some receipts and invoices for servicing work, the original hand book and service book along with copies of the original registration documents. Renault Spiders always prove to be popular when we have offered them in the past, and with its low mileage and sensible guide price this one will not disappoint.

1960 Mga 1600cc Roadster

Lot # 305 (Sale Order: 5 of 89)

The MGA was a sports car produced by the MG division of The British Motor Corporation from 1955 to 1962. It replaced the older "T-type" cars and represented a complete styling break from the older vehicles. The A was officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1955. Only 5,869 cars were sold on the home market, giving the MGA the highest export percentage of any British car. It was replaced by the MGB in May 1962. This lovely left-hand drive MGA 1600 is finished in the highly attractive colour scheme of Dove Grey with maroon interior. The car is registered in the EU and has clearly been the subject of a good quality restoration in recent years. The paintwork is in good order with only very minor blemishes and there is certainly no evidence of any surface rust. The interior is lovely and has benefitted from a high quality re-trim. The engine bay is very sharp and the car starts and drives with ease. We welcome any inspection on this vehicle and encourage buyers to contact the office for further details and to organise a viewing. MGAs offer stylish 1950s open-top motoring for a very reasonable outlay and this example certainly looks like value at today's guide price.

* Regretfully Withdrawn * 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera 4s

Lot # 306 (Sale Order: 6 of 89)

* Regretfully Withdrawn * The Porsche '996' was the factory's internal designation for the Porsche 911 model, manufactured with the first model year in 1999 and the last in 2005. The 996 had little in common with its predecessor with the first new chassis platform since the original 911. At its debut the 996 featured the most significant change from the classic 911 series , a water cooled engine replacing the previous air cooled engine . Stringent emissions/noise regulations , a higher expectation for refinement and a high performance 4 valve per cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other major changes include a completely new platform having a sleeker body with a more raked windshield and redesigned interior. In response to customer demand the Carrera 4S was introduced in 2003 which came with many options including a wider body with turbo style wheels, lowered suspension and sports exhaust, coupled with the 3.6ltr engine which developed 320bhp @6800rpm and 273lb/ft torque. Aided by the inclusion of 'Variocam plus' which improved power delivery through the range , giving it a 0-60 time of 5 seconds and a top speed of 174mph. This stunning 996 Carrera 4S was new in 2005 and is a RHD UK supplied car presented in Artic silver with dark blue interior . It has a 6 speed manual gearbox and was one of the last produced. With only 24,260 miles recorded by the 3 owners to date with full service history, all receipts and Mot's have been kept in a comprehensive service file with drivers manual, spare keys etc. This particular Carrera 4S can only be described as being in immaculate condition. Rarely do 911s come to the market in this stunning condition with such modest mileage. Please note the registration number 1AG is not included with the vehicle.

1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

Lot # 308 (Sale Order: 8 of 89)

The Type 14 Karmann Ghia debuted at the October 1953, Paris Auto Show as a styling concept created for Ghia by Luigi Segre. The Type 14 was Volkswagen's proposed 'halo' car contracting it's manufacture out to German coachbuilder Karmann. Karmann, in turn, chose to work hand in hand with the famous Italian styling house Ghia, who adapted styling themes previously explored for Chrysler and Studebaker to a Beetle floor pan widened by about 300mm. This impressive 1971 example, was imported from the USA in 2013 by our vendor, as a solid and mostly complete car that had been taken off the road in 1985 by its first and, we are led to believe, only owner. Upon arrival on our shores the car was subject to a complete nut and bolt restoration by Greyhound Cars in Wolverhampton. The body was completely stripped and what little rust was found was attended to, before the car was repainted in the resplendent silver you see today. A new engine was necessary and the decision was made to fit a new 1600cc unit to the car. At the same time the gearbox was refurbished and the two were eventually mated back together. Similarly the running gear was subject to a comprehensive refurbishment throughout to ensure that the car stops and handles as well as the day it left the factory. Inside, the car has benefited from a complete professional retrim with new carpets throughout and a new dashboard proudly sporting a period radio and wood-rimmed steering wheel. With restoration costs in excess of £15,000 this svelte little VW rightly commands attention amongst its peers. Photographic documentation of the restoration process along with various relevant invoices accompany this car, as does a record maintenance book stamped until 1985 when the car was first taken off the road in the USA. This smashing little car has covered only nominal mileage since its restoration and as such is now ready to be enjoyed by its new owner for many more miles to come.

1974 Ford Escort Rs 2000

Lot # 309 (Sale Order: 9 of 89)

The Escort RS2000 was the last car to be introduced to the AVO production range, introduced in the June of 1973. The car fitted nicely into the AVO range with its performance almost comparable to the complex RS1600, but with the reliability and ease of maintenance of the Mexico. The car used the same type 49-body shell as the Mexico and RS1600. Fortunately, there was a new engine in use at Ford, the 2-litre overhead cam Pinto design, which Ford then decided to use instead. Fords then had the major problem to persuade the new bulky Pinto engine to fit into the engine bay, which was something it had never been meant to do. The only way of achieving this was by discarding the engine driver cooling fan and replacing it with a thermostatically controlled Kenlowe fan. The engine produced 100bhp (2bhp more than in the Cortina). The gearbox was the German type e-box and was totally different from the RS1600. They used a final drive of 3.54:1. The car was launched in England on 11th October 1973 priced at £1586. This 1974 Ford RS 2000 is an ideal introduction for any peddler, young or old, into the world of historic rallying. Built around a seam welded and strengthened body shell, the specification is rather impressive. It boasts a: 14-point roll cage, marathon rally seats, alloy sump guard, world cup spec suspension with Bilstein dampers, quick rack, 60 litre alloy fuel tank, braided lines, Group 1 vented front discs, recent re-loom and drycell battery. The engine is a freshly rebuilt Pinto that develops a healthy 140 bhp with a gas-flowed head, Schmitt pistons, 4-2-1 Ashley manifold and is mated to a 5-speed STD Sierra gearbox. Finishished in Signal Yellow, the car is registered on the V5C document as a Ford RS2000 that was first registered in 1974 and comes with FIVA papers. The last keeper used the vehicle for events such as the Promax World Cup Rally in 2001 and a number of local rallying events. Since then this Ford has been maintained by respected specialist Gareth Williams at Sweep Motorsport. Gareth is happy to talk to prospective buyers and provide an objective evaluation on the car's condition. Offered at a most realistic estimate, it would cost many many thousands of pounds to build an historic Mk I Escort to this specification. We encourage any inspection and buyers are encouraged to contact the office before the auction to arrange a viewing.

1969 Jaguar E-Type series II 4.2 Roadster

Lot # 310 (Sale Order: 10 of 89)

Does the E-Type Roadster need a general introduction? Ever since Enzo Ferrari famously described it as 'the most beautiful car in the world' when launched, we think you may well already be getting the drift! Following on from the highly acclaimed series 1, the series II was introduced in 1968 and only available as a 4.2, 6 cylinder Roadster or 2 plus 2 Coupe. Refined in all key areas, including cooling, brakes, steering and handling - it is now widely regarded as the best driving E-Type of them all. A letter from Jaguar Cars Ltd. in the history file confirms that this car was a UK right hand drive model supplied on 25-6-1969 to London dealer, Henlys, finished in Primrose Yellow with a black hood and black trim. Our vendor, who has owned the car since 1990, has no early history on the car. However, the history file confirms that it was re-imported back to the UK from Alberta, Canada in August 1990 - still as a right hand drive car but now finished in Red. The car has had very limited use between the purchase date and the present day, all the previous MOT cerificates are present and show annual mileage increases of no more than a few hundred during her entire ownership. The Imperial Motor Company of Dewsbury, West Yorks carried out a comprehensive rebuild and restoration in 2001 costing some £9,397 at the time and since then the annual mileage increases suggest the car has hardly been used at all other than to and from the MOT station! Ripe for a restoration, this 58,700 mile car is matching numbers from new and offers an excellent investment opportunity for a collector/enthusiast to drive/enjoy and perhaps return to that original period colour of Primrose Yellow? The car will have a new MOT in time for the sale.

Lot # 311 (Sale Order: 11 of 89)

The name 'Testarossa', literally Redhead, became synonymous with Ferrari sports racing cars in the 50s and 60s and was reincarnated at the launch of their new model at the Paris Show at Porte de Versailles in 1984. 1998 Porsche 911 993 C2 Coupe

Lot # 313 (Sale Order: 13 of 89)

Often cited by enthusiasts as "the last real Porsche" the 993 straddles the bridge between pure high performance driving thrills, visceral dynamics, and appealing design-led solutions to emissions and safety requirements. No previous 911 variant had such high-speed cornering ability and stability via the use of widened track and all-alloy rear suspension. The six-speed manual gearbox not only surpassed the previous four and five-speed gearboxes in usability, but most commentators also found it to be a quicker reacting and a smoother gear change, in turn allowing full concentration to be employed on the road ahead rather than fighting the gears themselves. This left hand drive manual 993 C2 was manufactured on the 26th March 1998 and was one of the very last 993s off the production line. The last car rolled off on 30th March 1998 and resides as part of the Seinfeld collection in America. Fitted with factory options of heated sports seats, 17" new cup design wheels, air conditioning, sun roof, oval exhaust pipes, red brake callipers and sport seats back painted, the exterior is finished in a special colour of fly yellow, that was only available to these last edition models. Delivered new to Porsche Zentrum Fulda, Germany, this 993 resided with one owner until it was purchased and exported to the UK in 2002 by the previous owner. Supplied with its original German registration papers, current UK registration papers, MOT and a certificate of authenticity from Porsche, this last edition 993 is reading a mere 63,000 Kilometres or 39,150 miles. A full service has just been carried out on this vehicle. The 993 was considered one of the great 911s ever built and this last of the line example is worthy of a place in any collection. More pictures to follow.

1967 Austin Healey 3000 Mk.III

Lot # 314 (Sale Order: 14 of 89)

The Healey 3000, or "Big Healey" as it was known, was produced between 1959 and 1967. Highly successful on both road and track it was to be the final development of the model and a very worthy successor to the 100-6. Three versions were produced, each an improved evolution known as BNI, II, and III. The final version, BN III, lasted from 1963 until production ended and was the most powerful and luxurious version offering a 150 bhp straight 6 engine and specification including a walnut dashboard, servo brakes, a new exhaust system and twin SU carburetors. This lovely original 3000 BN III was bought when virtually new in 1971 by our vendor, a personal friend of Silverstone Auctions MD, Nick Whale. Our Midlands vendor took his newly wed wife straight off on a special European trip to Sicily in '71 and toured the region in the car creating many special memories. Infact the theme of his ownership has been regular trips in to Europe with the car throughout his tenure, including many visits to the Alps as well as regular trips to a holiday home in Aberdovey - all of them great occasions during the Summer months. Now ripe for a restoration and some new adventures, the car is offered for sale purely through recent lack of use. It is rare to find such an original (Ice Blue from new) and unmolested car that has had just 2 owners from new and offers so much value for money. The history file of invoices and old MOT's accompany the car which drives extremely well.

1996 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta

Lot # 315 (Sale Order: 15 of 89)

The Ferrari F355 is a modern classic, so beautiful, so well-engineered and so well received that it marked the beginning of the end of the old-guard 'Ferraristi' philosophy that the only "real" Ferraris were ones with 12-cylinder engines. The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta and Targa GTS burst onto the world stage in the spring of 1994. It had almost exactly the same dimensions as its predecessor the 348, yet it was virtually a new car, as its stunning coachwork indicated. Many hours of wind tunnel testing influenced the harmonious shape which incorporated an F1 style flat bottom with an air flow channel that generated enough down-force to offset any lift. The longitudinally mounted 3496cc V8 had a stunning 380 horsepower at a spine tingling 8,250 rpm. The gearbox now had six speeds with a new type of synchromesh that made it much easier to shift. New electronically adjustable shock absorbers varied their stiffness within milliseconds to suit the road surface. Around Ferrari's 1.86 mile Fiorano test track the 355 was two seconds a lap faster than the 12 cylinder 512 TR and that level of performance combined with its sensational shape made it a worldwide success story. Offered here is a manual F355 Berlinetta finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero Black leather interior and red carpets. A left-hand drive example, this car was supplied new to its first owner on 7th March 1996 by Maranello S.r.l. Pesaro, Italy. The service book contains stamps from the supplying dealer initially, and then another Ferrari Main Agent, Forza Service S.r.l, Torino, who were to carry out the majority of the service work on the car thereafter. The last major service with cambelts was done in 2013, only 7,000km or 4,349 miles ago, by marque specialist Rossi Corse S.r.l. Varese, Italy. Our vendor purchased the car from the aforementioned marque specialist earlier this year and imported it into the UK, registering the car with the DVLA and gaining the registration plate 'N36 LAT'. The car has a current MoT certificate, expiring on 12th March '16. Supplied with a full toolkit, leather bookpack containing all the relevant books and 2 sets of keys, this stunning looking Berlinetta is now showing 76,939 km or 47,807 miles on the odometer, and is ready to be exercised and enjoyed by its next owner.

1971 Mercedes-benz 600 Swb Limousine

Lot # 317 (Sale Order: 17 of 89)

By the start of the 1960s the model range produced by Mercedes-Benz offered drivers saloon cars, sports car and utility vehicles. To complete a ‘full house', Mercedes-Benz decided that a super prestige saloon, akin to the earlier Grosser models of the 1930s, ought to be included. In 1963 the all-new 600 model was launched at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. Representing the very best of Mercedes-Benz automotive engineering and technology, the 600 featured a 6.3 litre V8 engine, air suspension with variable ride control, all-round disc brakes, power steering and central locking. The cabin boasted a fine finish of wood, leather, privacy curtains and wind deflectors on the rear windows for passengers. The most popular version was the 3,200mm (10' 6") wheelbase saloon that could seat up to six passengers, while the long-wheelbase Pullman limousine, exceeding 20' in length and beloved of Heads of State, could accommodate up to eight. Despite its not inconsiderable weight the 600 was endowed with highly respectable performance, reaching 60mph in a little under 10 seconds and exceeding 125mph flat out. Only 2,677 examples were made, of which 2,190 were four-door saloons, 428 were Pullman limousines and 59 were landaulettes. We are pleased to offer this original UK right-hand drive 600 Short Wheel Base Limousine, first registered to Barclay Hotels Ltd of 2 Hyde Park Place, London in April 1971. We can only assume that the hotel required a luxurious car to ferry around its important guests, and this car would certainly have fitted the bill. Finished in metallic blue with a cream leather interior, the car can be described as being in good condition with a few areas that would benefit from some attention. There are no signs of rust on the bodywork and the interior could be brought back to life with a thorough leather clean. At the time of photographing, the car was being fettled and a new fuel pump fitted. Little is known regarding the history of the car after its time in London, however, our vendor found the car in Austria last year and brought it back to the UK. The car has been NOVA'd, all taxes have been paid upon repatriation and our vendor is currently registering the car with the DVLA to obtain UK registration. As an original UK example, reportedly one of only 273 right-hand drive Model 600 SWB Limousines, this exquisite looking car is likely to turn heads wherever it goes and is fast becoming a collectable classic.

2002 Chrysler Viper GTS Final Edition Coupe

Lot # 318 (Sale Order: 18 of 89)

The second generation Vipers had power increased to 450 BHP, improved suspension and better braking. The result was 'sledgehammer' performance in a more refined package aided by the use of ABS in 2001. For 2002 production of the second generation run out was celebrated with release of 360 limited edition commemorative ''Final Edition'' models. These models were all finished in red with white stripes, paying tribute to the famous race winning Oreca cars which won the Daytona 24hrs outright in 2000. The Final Edition was described by Jim Julow, Vice President of Dodge Global Brands as the ''high water mark for the Viper Coupe''. The example offered here is number 148 of the 360 Final Editions produced and is believed to be the only example in the UK. It features the unique colour scheme, special stitch interior with leather seats, steering wheel, gear knob and numbered dashboard plaque. The odometer shows only 8600 miles and this Viper GTS is in sensational condition. It was purchased from its original Massachusetts owner in 2006 by its first UK owner after searching the market whilst living in Canada. It was later imported into the UK by him. Our current vendor is only the third owner. The history file contains a very comprehensive account of all the import documents and it complies with UK regulations. By the time of the auction it will come complete with a full MOT and will be awaiting its new V5c. With a mileage of just 8600 miles covered this rare Viper GTS Final Edition represents a great opportunity to own an exclusive and one of the most exciting grand tourers of recent years. It also benefits from the fitment of a switchable sports exhaust which gives the option of an awesome V10 soundtrack.

1961 Bentley S2 Continental 'flying Spur' By H.J. Mulliner

Lot # 319 (Sale Order: 19 of 89)

Bentley’s introduction of the V-8-powered S2 Continental continued the company’s tradition of “The Silent Sports Car,” as it was an automobile in which four adults could waft comfortably at high speeds over long distances in great comfort. Few body styles on this sporting chassis were quite as seductive as coachbuilder H.J. Mulliner’s design number 7443, a four-door sports saloon with sculpted rear fenders and attractive close-coupled lines. This car was designed by George Moseley and was the forerunner of the “four-door coupes” that are so popular among today’s luxury car buyers. It was nicknamed the “Flying Spur,” which was a reference to its dashing nature, and there was no better automobile for arriving at Ascot. Mulliner produced 128 examples of the Flying Spur on the S2 Continental chassis, of which a mere 52 were left-hand drive examples. This particular car, chassis BC47LBY, was one of those few, and quite amazingly was originally sold to the current owner's grandfather. Copies of the original factory records state that the chassis was delivered to Mulliner in Chiswick on 12th October 1960. The Continental 4 door 6 light saloon body was painted in a special order Metallic Forest Green with brown leather upholstery. The car was on test on 8th March 1961 and all of the equipment was tested and noted by the engineer. Delivery was arranged for 14th April 1961 to mainland Europe. Special original features included electrically operated windows, Sundym glass windscreen, high frequency horns, front bucket seats, folding arm rests, speedo in kilometres, hinged rear quarter lights and home type rear number plate. Finished in its original colour scheme, the car today presents very well and has clearly been the subject of a recent restoration. The paintwork shows no signs of corrosion and the interior wood and leather are in good condition. Supplied with EU registered papers and a full fitted car cover, this highly collectable and desirable S2 Continental Flying Spur represents a very exciting opportunity for the discerning collector.

1964 Mercedes Benz 230sl Pagoda Automatic

Lot # 320 (Sale Order: 20 of 89)

Launched in 1963 to replace the underpowered 190SL and utilising some of the new manufacturing techniques being adopted in the emerging S Class, the Paul Bracq designed 230SL was proudly unveiled to an appreciative audience. Remaining in production until 1971 with around 49,000 finding customers the W113 class eventually spanned three engine sizes. They were all fuel- injected with the initial 2.3 litre and the 2.5 litre in 1966 producing around 150 bhp, whilst in 1967 the 280SL became available with 170 bhp and a useful increase in torque. All looked similar with a low waistline, wide stance, fish bowl headlamps and big curved greenhouse windows with that very distinctive dished hardtop, giving rise to it's now universally adopted "Pagoda " nickname. Dating from 1964 this car was exported to the Isle of Man in 1971 and is recorded there as having four transfers of keeper, although three were within a few weeks and may have been dealers or inter company. On it's return to the UK in 1982 the vehicle was re registered RRF 129 and was owned for 29 years by a gentleman from Leeds who believes the mileage of just over 67,000 at the time of his purchase to be genuine, but this cannot be warranted. The vendor purchased the Mercedes in September, 2011 with an indicated mileage of 70,113 and has carried out a considerable amount of work on the car. Invoices on file indicate that during 2007/8 approximately £12,000 was spent by the previous owner on the engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension and exhaust. The current owner, however, has since spent a further £26,000 with marque expert John Haynes in Worthing, including a full engine and automatic gearbox rebuild, during 2012/13 and these invoices are available for inspection. This right hand drive SL is resplendent in Maroon with a cream lower panel, matching cream hard top and a cream interior, all set off delightfully by a gold coach line and narrow band whitewall tyres. The paintwork is believed to be original and is sound but the car would benefit from a respray. The vendor tells us that the interior has recently been re trimmed with the exception of the seats which need recovering, and a new black soft top added at the same time. A refurbished original Becker radio and electric aerial complete the look. The tyres are a recent fitment and mileage over the last few years has been very low with the odometer at the last MoT reading 71,738. The vendor confirms that the car drives really well. The history file contains the Owners Manual, a W113 Buyers Guide, period Brochure, the factory Data Sheet, MoT certificates going back to 2006, lots of invoices and a spare set of keys. The car will come to sale with a fresh MoT. The vendor has completed the mechanical restoration of this little SL and, although it's perfectly usable in it's current condition, some fresh paint would take it to the next level.

1989 Ferrari Testarossa

Lot # 321 (Sale Order: 21 of 89)

The name 'Testarossa', literally Redhead, became synonymous with Ferrari sports racing cars in the 50's and 60's and was reincarnated at the launch of their new model at the Paris Show at Porte de Versailles in 1984. Housing a 4.9 litre V12 engine pushing out 390BHP, the car was capable of a respectable 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and top speed of 196mph. Produced between 1984 and 1991, some 7,177 Testarossa's were produced in total - with the 'twin mirror' cars now being recognised as the most collectable examples. This left-hand drive Ferrari Testarossa was delivered new to Switzerland and has spent much of its life being cosseted in a private collection. It was collected by its first owner in the picturesque Alpine town of Lugano, Switzerland on 19th May 1989. It was serviced in October 1989 by the supplying Ferrari dealer and used very sparingly for its first few years. By 1993 the car had covered 3,290 Kilometres and by 2004 just 4,832 kilometres. In recent years the car has resided in a private collection in Portugal and used only in fine weather. The current mileage reading is a mere 10,254 kilometres or 6,372 miles. Though not warranted mileage, the quality and originality of the bodywork and interior must be seen to be fully appreciated. We welcome any inspections on this vehicle and it will be supplied with jack, spare wheel, tool kit and leather handbook pack. Finished in the ultimate colour combination of Rosso Corsa with Crema interior, this Testarossa has only just been the subject of significant recommissioning in April 2015. Included in these recent works was a full 'engine-out' cambelt service. There will be a number of pictures available that show the level of work carried out. Testarossa's seem to be starting to find their feet in the collector car market and this example is one of the finest we have seen.

2009 Ferrari F430 Scuderia - Just 85Km From New

Lot # 322 (Sale Order: 22 of 89)

Serving as the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale, the 430 Scuderia was unveiled by Michael Schumacher at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. Designed to compete with cars like the Porsche RS and the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (super light weight), it is lighter by 100 kg and more powerful, 503bhp at 8500 rpm, than the standard F430. The increased power output stems from a revised intake, re designed exhaust and an ion sensing knock detection system that allows for a higher compression ratio resulting in the weight-to-power ratio being reduced from 2.96 kg/hp to 2.5 kg/hp. In addition to the weight saving measures, the Scuderia semi automatic transmission gained an improved "Superfast" software system known as "Superfast 2", creating faster 60 millisecond gearshift times and a new traction control system combined the F1-Trac traction and stability control with the E-Diff electronic differential. The Ferrari 430 Scuderia accelerates from 0-100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 202 miles per hour (325 km/h). Ferrari claims that around their test track, Fiorano Circuit, it matches the Ferrari Enzo, and the Ferrari F430's successor, the Ferrari 458. Presented in its original colour of Grigio Medio 791 (this paint colour was offered by Ferrari in the 1950s and 60s) with an unusual interior in full Alcantara red leather, this Scuderia is, to date, the only one made by Ferrari in that exterior / interior combination. The car also comes with its full Ferrari tool kit, books, original cover and the impressive VIP PASSPORT. Although this vehicle has never been registered, it has service records indicating that the last inspection was done in February 2015 at a cost of 1,200 Euros without VAT and photographs of this inspection are available. The new price of this beautiful car was approximately 270.000 Euros, with an impressive list of options (listed below) adding roughly another 65,000 Euros to the base price. 1977 Jaguar XJC One family owned & 17,000 miles

Lot # 323 (Sale Order: 23 of 89)

Produced in very low volumes and built between 1975 and 1978, XJ Coupe production reached a mere 6,505 cars. The 2-door XJ Coupes, with a pillarless hardtop body called the XJ-C, were built at Jaguar's Browns Lane factory. The car was actually launched at the London Motor Show in October 1973, but it subsequently became clear that it was not ready for production - it was reported that problems with window sealing delayed production. XJ Coupés finally started to emerge from Jaguar showrooms some two years later to widespread delight. The Coupé was based on the short-wheelbase version of the XJ. Both six and twelve-cylinder models were offered, 6,505 of the former and 1,873 of the latter. Both the door and side windows could be wound down, resulting in a most attractive pillar-less look. However, the prohibitive expense of getting its two-door bodyshell to meet United States safety regulations meant that the Coupé version never went on sale in the USA. Consequently, the model is one of the rarest of the XJ family with production ending in 1977. Presented here is this exceptional XJC delivered new in New Zealand by Shorter Jaguar on 26th September 1977. Finished in dark green with a green leather interior, this car was first registered to Mr Shorter himself under the company name until 1995, when Mr Shorter Jr took ownership of the car. In his possession until 2014 the car has a full Shorter Jaguar Main Dealer service history as one would expect and is in superb original unrestored condition. With all of its original books contained in the leather Jaguar wallet and having covered a mere warranted mileage of 17,400 miles, this car is ready to show and with NOVA complete ready to drive once UK registration has been processed. Surely one of the finest XJC's to come to the market in recent time. A truly once in a lifetime opportunity......
