Upon determination of the shipping fees, your CREDIT CARD used during registration for this auction will be charged for the full amount of the winning hammer price, shipping/handling, $10 per gun transfer fee, and premiums. Sales tax applies if an Indiana resident (unless a resale certificate has been received by the auction company). A buyer's premium of 15% will be charged on all purchases made online. A final invoice SHOWING TOTALS will be emailed at that time. WE CANNOT SHIP YOUR FIREARMS UNTIL WE HAVE A COPY OF THE RECEIVING DEALER'S FFL LICENSE (if applicable). Shipping Instructions: Shipping charges are the responsibility of the winning bidder. All firearms purchasers must send a copy of the receiving FFL dealer's license immediately after the auction. We cannot ship until we have the FFL. If multiple items are purchased, we will do our best to consolidate your merchandise. Shipping costs within the 48 continental U.S. states will be the actual shipping fee, plus a small materials and handling fee. Items are shipped within 5 business days of receipt of FFL information. NOTE - CALIFORNIA residents are prohibited from bidding on MODERN GUNS; however, you may purchase ANTIQUE/BLACK POWDER guns. We WILL NOT sell to international bidders.

This Lot will sell at 12:00 Noon! On April 19th, 1928 “humanitarian” hangman Phil Hanna used this hemp rope to execute notorious Southern Illinois bootlegger and gangster Charlie Birger. This was the last public hanging in the state and was reportedly witnessed by 5,000 people. The rope was given by Hanna to Franklin County Sheriff James Pritchard who arrested Birger and presided over the hanging. After spending years on display at the Franklin County Jail Museum, and several more years in a legal custody battle, this historic artifact can now be yours. This lot will sell immediately after item 1A Noose! This item is a photographic negative of just before the hanging of Charlie Birger the notorious bootlegger and gangster of Illinois. This negative found recently is showing the unmasked Birger having his legs bound to prevent flailing after the door drops. It shows a man holding the noose we have for auction. This is a real rare find that will be a great opportunity to pair these items together for your collection. The negative appears in very good condition.
