I immediately wanted a figure of ‰Û÷8‰Ûª like our beloved Suzuka, and could only dream of driving a series of corners such as scaling the mountain up to turn one in Austin before falling through the ‰Û÷Senna S‰Ûª of Brazil and towards Silverstone‰Ûªs fearsome Copse corner. And that‰Ûªs just a small section. Now amazingly, we‰Ûªve built a model and so I will revert to my childhood for many laps. It‰Ûªs going to get competitive.‰ÛHornby Hobbies Marketing Controller Jim Proctor-Bain said ‰ÛÏMartin‰Ûªs design has mass appeal so we hope to raise much needed funds for Children In Need.‰Û Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1964 Ford Consul Cortina Super MK1

Lot # 708 (Sale Order: 8 of 52)

Offered for sale is a 1500ccL 1964 Ford Consul Cortina Super MK1 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 86/135. The Cortina was Ford's mass-market compact car and sold extremely well. With variants of the Cortina reaching sales of over one million and each successive model proving more popular than its predecessor. In response to the huge success of the Mini, Ford responded not with a small car but with a larger family offering which they could sell in large numbers. The result was the Cortina; a distinctively styled car aimed at buyers of the Morris Oxford and Vauxhall Victor, and launched on 20 September 1962. With eye-catching modern styling, it was originally branded as the Consul Cortina until a modest facelift in 1964, after which it was sold simply as the Cortina. We are informed by the vendor that this is an older restoration car that remains in very good order throughout, this is a very very early car identified by its Consul badging or often referred to as the 'Pre air flow' model, a very rare car that began a motoring Dynasty. This highly original car, chassis number 'AL00438' is one of the earliest examples of this timeless classic. First registered in the UK in 1989, this car is showing 55,000 miles and has been owned by the current vendor who is a Design Engineer for Mercedes AMG Formula 1 team for some 11 years. Maintained to the highest standard during his ownership, the vendor informs us one of the reasons he was originally attracted to the Z1 is because he is a specialist in composite materials and the bodywork of the BMW Z1 is one of the earliest examples of advanced fibre reinforced composites being applied to road cars.åÊ First presented at the 1987 Frankfurt motorshow, the BMW Z1 was the first product of BMW Technik GmbH and is notable for many pioneering design features including a unique sliding door concept and a galvanized sheet metal structure with plastic body panels. 1988 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 4x4 8v Turbo

Lot # 721 (Sale Order: 21 of 52)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1988 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 4x4 8v Turbo manual. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 108/135. A Lancia Delta HF Integrale. This is the real deal, a 1995cc 8v turbo 4x4 LHD. Finished in Nero Metallic with a Grey Harlem 1/2 alcantara interior. This car started life in Italy and was imported to the UK when only a year old. It has a substantial UK history, with a odometer reading of 181,800 kms and will be supplied with a fresh MoT certificate before the sale. The current vendor informs us that he purchased this car from a keen member of the Lancia Motor Club who had spent in his words "plenty of money in the right places". We are told the car is unmolested and standard aside from: It has a full BC Coilover suspension kit (purely as the standard strut tops were unavailable at the time!) this was fitted by Auto Integrale, it has also been fitted with the later 16v Integrale rims (fitted with almost new Toyo Proxes), and a 16v bonnet. A Delta cannot be considered a modern car these days, but the vendor informs us impressively this one suffers from less creaks and rattles than some. In his opinion basically the expensive Integrale issues have been resolved. This car is described by him as a very clean tidy car, a pleasure to drive and always raises smiles whenever it goes, particularly from the driver! Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.
