Item Details
This is a 1910 Indian 19.30 cubic inch motor for a loop-frame, chain drive Hendee Manufacturing Company/Indian Runabout motorcycle. These machines were available with either magneto ignition or battery ignition. This particular motor is an excellent example of the magneto-ignition version. It was recently re-discovered in a machine shop in the Los Angeles area. It was removed from a crashed machine sometime between the wars and placed in a building which became filled over the years with various types of machinery. Having been stored indoors it is in excellent condition and it turns freely. Included in the sale are the stand, a new 1910 Indian sales brochure, and an early Indian wall poster. Sold with a Bill of Sale.
