This barn-find 10.5-foot A-B Class runabout racing hydroplane from the mid to late 1970s was manufactured by DeSilva Race Boats of California and is powered by a modified Mercury 20ci engine. A unique feature is that it was built with a single chine on the left for rolling the boat up and turning the boat on its chine for really tight corners. On the outside chine is a double-step flat turning chine, which makes this boat extremely versatile and fast through the corners. Very few of these boats were built; the design was unusual because chine-turning was so difficult. Only a handful of racers could handle the maneuver and stay in the competition. The current owner earned a place in the American Power Boat Hall of Champions by piloting the boat to the national highpoint in Class A Runabout and winning both national titles in Class A and B Runabout at the Lake Ming, Bakersfield, CA, 1977 Stock Outboard Nationals. Included in the sale trailer are engines, propellers and life jacket. The sale includes two books written by Ralph DeSilva about outboard boat racing, as well as a trailer, several propellers, accessories and a lifejacket. **SOLD AS A GROUP WITH LOT #610.1 AND LOT #610.2** **SOLD ON BILL OF SALE**
