According to the Weatherby Collectors Association Mark V Rifle serial number PDF chart, this Deluxe Grade rifle was produced in West Germany in 1971. CONDITION: This one-owner rifle is in beautiful condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: Introduced by Roy Weatherby in 1958, the Mark V action was designed to be the strongest action in the world. Roy wanted to create a high-quality, accurate, and powerful rifle for hunting that could handle his high-velocity cartridges. The Weatherby Mark V rifles are considered prestigious or luxury firearms by many. This is due in part to Roy Weatherby who often presented the rifles to royalty, politicians, gun writers and actors. The Mark V action has remained virtually unchanged from the original design of Fred Jennie and Roy Weatherby which is a testament to the longevity of the design. Over the years it has been offered in Sporter, Deluxe and Custom grades. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders. PLEASE READ ALL TERMS BEFORE PARTICIPATING: There is no live crowd, no phone bidding, no left bids and we do not accept payment through the mail.
