Circa late 19th to early 20th century, likely of Ohio or Pennsylvania origin. This straight-sided cylindrical crock features bold hand-brushed cobalt floral decoration on the front, a tooled shoulder line, and impressed "4" gallon mark beneath the rim. Twin lug handles and a light gray salt-glazed surface complete the classic utilitarian form. Excellent overall condition with strong decoration and only minor firing marks and base discoloration.
