dating: last quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Brescia Smooth, two-stage, 17 mm cal. barrel, octagonal with fluted decorations, then round, with rings at the girdle, moulded muzzle; lock with slightly roundish plate featuring remains of floral engravings and outlines, signed "Carlo Lafrancho" at the centre; the screw of the hammer chiselled with petals; wooden full stock (small restorations); iron mounts, roundish butt-plate, barrel brackets with rings, flat counter-plate; iron-tipped wooden ramrod. Carlo Laffranco (born in 1620) is documented in Brescia in 1686. See "Repertorio Storico degli Archibugiari Italiani" by Bruno Barbiroli, Bologna, Clueb 2012, on page 317. dimensions: length 50,5 cm.
