This bag has the tag from the Northern Pacific Railroad signed by Freda. Freda maintained a room at the Lewis Clark hotel in Lewiston where she was invited to parties around the Lewiston area. She used this bag in her travels between Pardee and Lewiston on the railroad. Freda developed the Kindergarten program used in the school systems now. She also taught President Grover Cleveland's children before coming West in the 1890's. Purchased from Helen Young, Kamiah in early 80's, she worked for Freda as a house keeper. Has original key. including a book brought west with the Bethmanns and signed by Freda's son Miner Bethmann
