This is an original German WWII NSDAP Flag or car pennant, cut from a vehicle mount with the hoist edge removed. Constructed of red cotton, it features a bold machine-applied black swastika within a white roundel and an embroidered national eagle in the upper corner—both executed with sharp contrast and strong detail. This flag is a Reichsdienstflagge (State Service Flag) variant, which was introduced on March 13, 1933, and reissued in a new pattern in 1935. It was used by German government agencies, the Reichsbank, the Reichsbahn, and notably the Kriegsmarine (Navy), with the "M" indicating naval assignment. It often adorned vehicles during diplomatic missions and naval operations. Though clipped at the hoist, the remaining flag section retains excellent color and thread integrity, with some scattered insect holes typical of period textile storage. No visible maker marks are present. A striking and high-resolution example of original Nazi vehicle regalia, ideal for collectors seeking a genuine display piece with strong visual impact and classic party symbolism. Provenance: Brought back by a U.S. serviceman who personally cut it from a German state vehicle during WWII operations in Europe.
