This is a great collection of US Army coats that show the evolution from the M1909 coat pattern to the M1917 wartime coat pattern. 1) US M1917 Enlisted pattern wool service coat. Size 38 Long (tag on inner collar). 5 blackened brass buttons down front Marked “R. Liebmann Co Newark NJ”. Lining present with stamps in ink inside: “6198”, “2388L”, “61”. Manufacturers tag at bottom hem: “J.N. Susskind & Co. Contract June 28, 1917. Specification No 1160 Philadelphia Depot Q.M.C. “. Excellent condition. 2) US M1909 Enlisted pattern cotton service coat. Falling collar design. Last variation of the M1902 coat before the M1910 standardization. Olive drab color, with the green really showing well on inside. Two sewn grommet holes on each side of collar for insignia. Shoulder straps have rimless eagle buttons. No buttons present down front. Four flap closure billowing pockets. Inside of coat lining stamped “4-1/2” in ink over both lower pockets. Cursive “9595” written in center. Looks like it was never issued. In superb condition. Small coat. No size markings. 17” across at shoulders, 28” tall. A nice early and rare uniform coat. 3) US M1910 Enlisted pattern cotton service coat. SGT stripes on each sleeve. Standing collar design. Shoulder straps and front are rimless eagle buttons. Olive drab color, with the green showing more so on inside. Small coat. No size markings. 16” across at shoulders. 26” tall. 4) US M1910 Enlisted pattern cotton service coat. SSGT stripes on each sleeve. Standing collar design. Shoulder straps and front are rimless eagle buttons. Olive drab color, with the green showing more so on inside. Small coat. No size markings. 16” across at shoulders. 27.5” tall. 5) Model 1907 German canteen. Aluminum body with screw on cap. Stamped “GEBR BINGA G./NURNPBRG15” Covered with original field green wool with 4-button snap enclosure. Brown leather strap is in good condition for its age. Label on cap (easily removable) affixed reads "WWI GERMAN" Dimensions 6”x9”x3” Please see photos.
